Using ipad3, cant backup to "icloud-it just crashes everytime i tried" second, i cant upgrade to ios6.
What should i do to fix these problems? FIRST, i cant backup to icloud. It just crashes before completing the backups. SECOND, i cant ipgrade to IOS6.
An Airport can "extend" the WiFi created by another Airport. It can not extend a non-Apple WiFi. You need TWO Airport units, one to function as the main radio and the other to function as an extender. I used two Express units.
Configuration is simple if you start from a factory default condition. Connect the main Airport to AC power and finally to the Internet modem (or modem/router). Open Airport Utility on your Mac or other computer and accept all of the recommendations. After confirming that it works, insert your desired administrative and WiFi passwords.
Then connect the extender to AC power. As before, open Airport Utility on your Mac or other computer and accept all of the recommendations. No need to add password info.
Do not expect the Airport to respond instantly to the configuration commands. BE PATIENT!

Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first. -
I am trying to backup my iphone but it is saying I don't have enough space. Every time I delete something its saying I need more space. My photo stream alone is using up 4.8GB but I only have 254 pictures on it,can this be right? Also how do I backup videos to iCloud?

Can anyone Help? My Lightroom 4 will not Export, it just crashes when it tries?
I haven't been able to EXPORT from Adobe's LIGHTROOM 4 in 2 days! I've rebooted the PC at least 4 times, backup the catalog (with over 90,000 photos that took a while lol), closed photoshop and lightroom and then reopened them countless times and it is still not allowing me to export. The files are not missing and it's just stalling when it starts to export and has to close itself down.
I am having this issue as well and it is sporadic. Most of the time, when I export I get the message "Export Results | Some export operations were not performed." The saved error message contents read as follows:
The file could not be written. (1)
M:\Images\To Be Edited Photos\2000_07_26\03946_n_12ahltu3f83891.jpg
I can't delete or even view the newly created file unless I shut down LR4.2.
I've tried written to different drives and confirmed that there is no monitoring of the directories by other software.
I am running Windows 8 but noticed the the original author of this thread is running Windows 7. -
Ever since I updated this last week I have not been able to play purchased videos. It just says "null" and unknown video next to my videos. I've tried reloading from my computer as well as downloading them again via wifi and have had no luck. Any suggestions??

Mac Notes won't connect to iCloud; system preferences crash despite fixes tried
I am on 10.8.5, have not updated to Mavericks yet. My Mac for notes doesn't want to connect to iCloud so that my notes will sync between all devices.
I have tried all of the solutions that seemed to work for others, like deleting cache, rebooting, making sure all devices are set to iCloud, typing a new note. I think I remember telling iCloud not to sync notes many years ago but now I do want it to sync and it won't allow.

it suddenly crashed and now wont restart. A crash reporter keeps coming up but nothing happens
I cant even get the internet on, (im currently on my boyfriends laptop) when I turn my desktop on it goes to the crash report but wont let me send it- it then just starts doing its own thing, i cant even log off i just have to turn it off, i cant click on any icons, it wont let me so i cant open firefox in safe mode....any clues?

7.0.2 just crashes constantly on startup! help!

on my dual g5 powermac itunes 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 ran well.
after upgrading to 7.0.2 i cannot use itunes anymore because it just crashes everytime when i launch it.
after the first progress bar vanishes the main itunes window appears but then immediately another progress bar pops up as a modal window. so i can't do anything but wait. but after app. 2/3 of progress itunes crahes.
the crash log file, however, doesn't help (at least me) because it didn't dump a call stack of the thread that crashed (thread 0):

i used to have the iLike sidebar installed but trahed that file (~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/iLike.bundle) already -- to no avail.
tried to reinstall iTunes 7.0.0 (don't have 7.0.1 -- how can i get it?) but because the installer saw that 7.0.2 is already installed it didn't let me install 7.0.0. and i was afraid of trashing the whole 7.0.2 because i don't know if that will have any side effects on my >12000 tracks library...

funny. on my macbook pro the com.apple.itunes.plist file contains many keys and values.
on my powermac this file contains three:
ApplicationCrashedAfterRelaunch, lookForSharedMusic and pref:129:Preferences.
this last one is of Class "Data" and the Value is a long hex string.
So, no way to change the key "disablePodcasts" I found on my macbook pro.
however, I got an idea: why not just disconnect from internet so that iTunes cannot get any new podcast episodes.
did this via LittleSnitch: disallowed the application iTunes to connect to the internet at all.
however, to no avail.
I still get the progress bar and itunes still crashes before finishing whatever it does there.
anyone an idea why my com.apple.itunes.plist file is so different on my powermac than on my macbook pro? both is itunes 7.0.2...

I can't get my ipad3 to backup using iCloud.. It times out right at the end of backup. The blue bar nearly fills up and right at the end a message pops up saying the backup could not be completed.
Tried that.. No joy. Just tried to synch again with iCloud . The bar gets nearly to the end and then stops. Says below it - estimated time remaining.... I'm confused. If I synch to my computer is this the same as synching to iCloud. It's shame it's doesn't work!

Within this commonfiles\apple folder, there is only one folder, labeled "Internet Services." Within this folder, there are 6 folders, labeled:
APLZOD.resources
BookmarkDAV_client.resources
CoreDAV.resources
iCloud.resources
iCloudServices.resources
ShellStreams.resources
Within all but CoreDAV and BookmarkDAV_client, there are multiple different folders, all labeled starting with a two letter (acronym I believe, for different languages) then .lproj (for example, a folder is labeled "ar.lproj".
In each of the folders of APLZOD.resources, there is a file labeled "APLZODlocalized.dll."
In all of the folders containing the multiple .lproj folders, there are likewise "name"localized.dll files contained.
In the BookmarkDAV_client and Core DAV folders, they each contain only one file, "Info.plist"
I attempted to delete all of these files, and still, the FileAssassin could not delete them. I unlocked one of them for instance, and I tried to delete the file myself (thru windows explorer and just clicking delete), and I still had the same issue of coming eventually to the window requesting me to "try again" to have permission.
What can I do?? I'd like to avoid Unlocker, but if it really is a reliable and SAFE program, and someone knows a SAFE place to download it from, I'd appreciate it very much so!!

I want to restore my iPhone to the backup that I did just before upgrading to iOS6. When I try to pull up old backups, I only see one from this morning and an old one from May 2012 when I still had my iPhone 3GS. I have not been using iCloud since it was set up improperly when I first switched to the 4S, the contacts weren't being synced AT ALL. visited the genius bar, they said I need a whole other appointment to visit them and solve that, I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Thus, I am backing up to iTunes.
This morning's sync/backup resulted in me losing most of my contacts, and for the contacts that remain, 99% of the phone numbers are gone. I can recover my calendar entries from this past week, but I don't know how I can recover all of them from my May 2012 backup.
Since I had a backup just last week, I'd like to just go back to it. But how? Or, is there another way to get my contacts restored? And why did they disappear? After reviewing your post it seems you are unable to access your iCloud account due to a forgotten password. You can reset your iCloud password by following the steps in the article below:
iCloud: Change your iCloud password
Your iCloud password protects the privacy of the information (such as your email) stored in iCloud. Your password also protects your ability to locate or remotely erase your device using Find My iPhone. You should regularly change your iCloud password to protect your information. Your iCloud password is the password for the Apple IDyou use to sign in to iCloud.
Important: If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud as you do with other Apple services such as the Apple Online Store, iTunes Store, App Store, or to purchase products in iPhoto or Aperture, changing your iCloud password also changes your password for these services.
