Using iPhone 3GS in Egypt and Ukraine

I'm visiting Egypt and Ukraine in the next year or so. How would I go about using my iPhone in these two countries?

Egypt's iPhone carrier, is MobilNil, I know cause I'm Egyptian and visit often. If you're going to use AT&T the entire time then get a roaming Data package. Or you can "ail-jay reak-bay" your iPhone and get a pay as you go sim while overseas

Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.

I am using iphone 3gs. downloaded ios6 and it stuck to itune logo and an usb logo on screen.

i am using iphone 3gs. today i downloaded the new ios6. after the downloading the phone switched off and now there is a sign of itune and usb cable on my screen and nothing else is happening. i dont have mac. i am using compaq 610. kindly guide me, how i can restore my iphone.

You must have the latest version of iTunes on your PC, and you must connect the phone to your PC with a USB cable. It should then be recognized in iTunes and should restore. If it does not see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...

2. I have some important infomation saved in one of the apps called "awesome notes". How can I get it back? Is it store inside my computer? if so, how can i restore?

alrite. I have made my mistake. I should not jail break my iphone. So if I purchase my apps again from itunes is that mean mean my data will be back?

Sounds like you have corrupt backup data, if this occurs from one phone to another. Try restoring the phone as a new device, without a backup. Try using for a day before installing any other apps, etc. See if that improves the battery life. Then try syncing back applications a couple at a time. Something seems to be locking in the processor which is draining the battery.
Do you live in an area where there are Apple Stores? If so, try making an appointment with the Genius Bar to have the device checked out.

Basic troubleshooting steps in the following order.
1. Reset. Press and hold both Power and Home Buttons together till Apple Logo appears.
2. Restore to a backup.
3. Backup, Restore in iTunes and setup as new.

Just use the phone the way it is, forget the apps.

If your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken to use a different carrier then the update locks it back again to the original carrier.

OS & all apps are updated ..

try these steps
-clear multi tasking by double tapping home button then holding a applicaiton in tell it shakes then hit the minus sign
-toggle air plane mode on and off
-reset phone
-download a free application
after each of these steps try a applicaiton to see if it crashes

Contact that carrier and ask if they offer this service and if you qualify

Not sure but the possible problem can be that the game developers doesn't support 3GS models, thus the game is not optimized for your model. And the crashes are the result of too complex software for your model. Just my 0.02

Seems your story has changed... not seeing is not the same as not supported.
If the phone is carrier locked, you need a SIM from the carrier it's locked to to activate it. The sim does not have to be active, it just has to be one from that carrier.

Using iPhone 3Gs with noise canceling headset

I recently upgraded from a 3G to a 3Gs. I used the 3G with a corded connection from the audio jack to a Lightspeed Zulu aviation noise canceling headset. It worked great. However, with the 3Gs I can hear the person I am talking to fine, but they say they can barely hear me. This never happened when I used my 3G phone with the NC headset. Is there a volume adjustment on the outgoing audio in the 3Gs?

No, if the phone is bought from AT&T in the US, it is locked to AT&T and AT&T do not offer unlocking, so it would only be able to be used with AT&T.
