Using iphone 4s that is still on ios 6.1.3, is there any way i can update to ios 7 only and not ios 8?

I had to borrow my mom's iphone 4s cause my iphone 5 died on me. this 4s is still on iOS 6.1.3 is there any way i can just upgrade to iOS 7 and not iOS8? I have some apps that won't work on the current ios version installed.

If your phone is offline, the ONLY way to find it is to look for it the old fashioned way. Your phone CANNOT be located electronically if it's offline.

If the movies were rentals then no.
If the movies are purchases and you have the iTunes 10.4 then you should be able to access the 'cloud' option from in the main iTunes page - purchases - (upper right corner) and go from there.
You should also have the option to transfer purchases from the iPad back into iTunes. I don't have an iPad but you can transfer purchases from the iPod/iPhone back to iTunes.

I recently transferred my data (music, apps, etc.) to a new computer via transferring purchases and Home Sharing and only a few songs had play counts. On my older computer, all the songs had at least some documentation of a playcount. Thinking that I could figure it out, I reset the play count for the songs on the new computer. It looks like what I'm going to have to do is get a new laptop/pc - I'm fine with that.
However, presuming I get a new PC, install iTunes, all of my current stuff on my iPad and iPhone is backed up, I install the new os, and everything is good .... then I plug in my external hard drive with all of my music. Some of the iTunes music and movies on my external drive were purchased years ago with a now defunct Apple account and Yahoo email address. How can I access these items? I remember getting an error last time I tried to sync, and these items wouldn't sync.

In preferences turn on iTunes sharing in iTunes preferences and keep iTunes turned on in both accounts. Or better yet put the iTunes library on the main HD rather than in an account and set the location of the library to that location in iTunes preferences.

1. Yes, if both drives are formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
2. Reformat the drives if needed, open the Time Machine pane of System Preferences, and remove the drive with the pictures from the list of items set to be excluded.

No, if it doesn't have a sim slot. However, the model number you posted is for a Verizon iPhone 4S. That model does have a sim slot, & if Verizon unlocks the sim slot, it can be used on GSM networks outside of the US.

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.
