I have an LG TV. Tech changed settings and now it won't recognise device to watch movies or view images. TV recognises a usb but not iphone.
Nope, it falls outside the terms and conditions. Want it on the big screen pay for it (that's "their" attitude not mine)!

I am getting a lot of static when using Brookstone wireless headphones and watching movies on the Apple TV. I know it is not headphones, because they work fine when I switch it to cable TV, then the sound is clear with no static. Any suggestions? Which wireless headphones work best with the apple TV?
Ok so I've been doing more testing. It's all videos on the iTunes store. Anytime I try to download a podcast or stream it or anything it's super slow. To download an episode of Diggnation it tells me over 2 hours to download but the time keeps climbing and I just stop the transfer.
Some people said it's an Open DNS thing? Maybe it is but it's not computer specific and I couldn't find a way to change the DNS settings in my Airport, only on each computer. I tried deleting PLists and restoring my Apple TV and restoring my Airport and nothing is working.
I don't know if it an issue with me, my ISP or Apple. Anyone else experiencing this problem? -

I'm going to purchase a used iPhone 4s from a stranger. What do I need to watch out for?
Another poster, about 3 weeks ago, reported that his new iPhone purchased from a strneger was disabled by ATT as "stolen". This odd individual insisted right up until he stopped responding in his own post that the seller had reported it stolen to make an insurance claim and *SURELY* the seller had not himself stolen it. In the fiasco, he put the sim card of the stolen phone phone into his old phone and that one got bricked/locked because of the sim-card relation.
Seems not all sellers are offering legit/legal product.
One way to weed out the bad ones is to make a condition of sale be that the exchange is done at an Apple store to allow Genius Bar to verify stolen/no and good condition. Legitimate selllers will not balk at that inconvenience of verification before they get your money. -
Hi all, i am going on holiday soon and want to watch all the movie from itunes however my ipad is only 16gb and cannot hold all the videos, any advice on how i could watch the films on my ipad my connecting it too my ipod touch (32GB) or iphone (32gb) or a usb stick so i can hold the extra movies on another device.

I have a ipad and a hone and on my iPhone I have a app that plays movies my son keeps complaining the screen is to small on the phone so I would like to know if it's possible I to connect my iPhone to my ipad so we can watch the movie on a bigger screen? Please help people, and before you say I have tried downloading the app on to my ipad but they no longer do the app so that's not possible

Hand tool using spacebar does not work to move an image
When using another tool on an image, I hit the spacebar to move around in the image but the Hand tool does not work.
I've renamed the folder 12.0 under %appdata%/roaming/adobe/Photoshop Elements and that works until I close Elements 12 and then reopen it.Suggest that you delete preferences.
In Editor, expert tab, go to Edit>preferences>General. Look for this:

HT1551 Airplay problems trying to watch movies from another player besides itunes.
I just bought my apple tv and want to watch movies from my macbook without mirroring my whole computer screen. Is it possible to do that? Do I have to use itunes to airplay movies? I use a VLC player to watch movies and it does not give me an air play button. So the only way to watch my HD movies is to miror my whole computer screen and then it doesnt even give me audio. Audio only works with quicktime player with mirroring. Any tips/suggestions? And I have apple tv 3 it wouldnt give me the option to select it.
iTunes is the only app that can airplay natively, everything else is via mirroring. In terms of 3rd party apps there is one called beamer, it has a trial so you can see if it works for your needs.

Ok so I use my iPod (30G) to watch movies. When I am watching a movie the iPod will not charge for some reason while it is both plugged into the TV thru the AV cables and also plugged into the wall. Any reason why? This is a pain because most movies play longer than the 1.5 hours of battery life my iPod has. Is this a bug of some kind?

All I can say of the iPod classic 160GB is that it's pretty awesome on battery life and movies. To give you an idea, I can play just about 6 hours worth of movies (mp4 encoded) on my iPod. I take the train everyday to the city and it's an hour there and an hour back. My iPod will last me 3 days without my recharging it. However, the caveat, I'll leave it plugged in on Sunday night to get it fully charged as opposed to only 80% charged.
Like I said. I'm really of no help with your iPod (30G). But I did want to relate my experience with the iPod classic since this is an iPod classic thread. -

Since i upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS 6.0, i can no longer watch or view my Movies or Video's in my Music Playlist. I can still view them in my Videos which is not in orderly manner or arragement like i wanted unlike in the Playlist. There is some sort of restrictions i guess. I already checked the Allow All Movies but still the videos does'nt appear. What should I do?
Please HELP ME.
Thank you very much.Similar problem here. My Ical refuses to edit or delete events. Viewing is possible, though sometimes the whole screen turns grey. Adding new events from mail is still possible. The task-pane completely disappeared. My local apple technic-centre messed about with disk utility for a bit and than told me to reinstall leopard. I could of course do that, but it seems to me that reinstalling Leopard just to fix iCal events is a bit invasive.
I tried also tried removing everything, installing a new copy of iCal from the leopard-cd, software updates, all to no avail.
At the moment I'm open to all suggestions that do not include a complete leopard reinstall. -

I used to able to watch movies, TV series on youtube for more than 20 minute straight. In last few days, somehow it stopped after only 1-2 minutes. What is wrong with my iPhone 4S? I even updated youtube.
That would indicate an issue with the local network, not internet. This can impact devices differently and will likely be more obvious on a streaming only device.
If you are on wifi try ethernet
Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)
Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise. -

To better assist you with this issue we need to know:
What is your operating system? (Windows or Mac) (XP, Vista, 7, 8)
What browser do you use? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari) -

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
Otherwise, take the steps below when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in and Writes out.)
Step 2
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
