You can directly store the Word Document itself into the Database using BFILE concept.
If you want to store line by line please code your program with TEXT_IO package (Forms)

How do I take a screenshot of a block diagram to be used in a MS Word document?

I am using labview 5.0 and I am working up a user manual on the VI I have created. I would like to include screenshots of the block diagram and explain what I have done for future revisions of the VI by other programmers.

You can "print" your vi. When you do that, you have the option to save it instead as an html or rtf file. LabVIEW will create images of your diagram that you can use for your user manual.
Also, you can simply select your diagram or part of the diagram using the "Position/Size/Select" tool, copy it and then paste it on your word document, like any regular cut and paste. It will paste as an image. If you want, you can paste the image in another application directly like Paint or Microsoft Photo Editor, so you can modify it accordingly to your needs.

Using GOS to store business document on the content server

BACKGROUND
We use content server to store business documents via ArchiveLink. The process to store a business document is via Generic Object Services menu path "Create -> Store business document".
ISSUE
When document is stored in such a way, the actual name of the document is not displayed in the "Attachment list" of the GOS menu nor is it stored on the content server. What we see instead in the "Attachment list" is a description of the Archive object (TOASP-objecttext) for all documents that we store.
NEED HELP
We need to have a document's name (i.e. name of the uploaded file) displayed in the "Attachment list" of GOS. We also need to be able to retrieve this file name programmatically via a function call or a class method.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. In GOS attachment list i can able to see the attachment name (without extension) may be you need to check your layout using change layout (its may hidden)
2. For getting attachment name programatically try this way

Problem about using GOS to store business document!

    I am using Generic Object services toolbar to archive document.
   When I attach thru Create Attachment button and display by clicking on the attachments list, it is showing Creator name and the
real name of document .But If I attach thru Store Business document and display it thru attachment list, Creator name and the document name is blank. But client want to see the creator name also in the display.

How to point at a word table using forms Ole and Word Document

Hello.
I like to know how to position at a word table and send data from a forms module using ole. I have done something similar before using bookmarks.It's easy and it works. My requirement now is to send data from a forms module to a word document, but this time, the word document will have bookmarks and a word table needs to be filled from data from the database. Just don't know how to get , access, reference the word table from forms.
I'm still using forms6i in C/S mode.
Help will be greatly appreciated ...!.

First of all, you have got to be granted the privilege to read and write to the file system, this is a must to use BFile read access.
A global function bfilename returns a bfile taking the file path as an argument is needed to construct a blob object through dbms_lob.loadfromfile.
A very helpful example I found on orafaq follows:Create a link to the directory where the file to load in the blob is
(connect as system then grant read privilege to your user):

Custom the following procedure that I copied from a Thread

Embed word documents in adobe form

Hi,
Is it possible to embedd a word document in Adobe PDF forms.
We have a requrirement where we have to embedd more than one word documents into adobe forms.
I want to read the contents of word document and display them in PDF document.
There are methods to attach different documents in pdf but did not find any method to embedd the document.
Please let me know if there is any element in adobe forms or a class method which is used to embedd the word documents.

Hi Amit,
As far as i know the only way to solve your issue is to convert your form as an image ( JPEG file ) , store it into a network place that ADS can acces and then you can add it in the forms dinamycally.
It's not possible to had the word document content dinamycally in the form.

Storing Word Documents on SAP

What is the best method to store Word documents on SAP? I have a requirement for developers to create unit test scripts and then load them into SAP to enable them to be referenced by other programs. They will have to be stored within a certain hierarchy as well like a directory structure.

I have been looking at the BDS as this will be the most likely place for storage. I was also having a look at SE61 - Dcoumentation as you can also store chapters as word documents and then retrieve them using functions from the DSYS group.
