Using ISR2800 as H320 Gateway?

I'd like to hear if anyone is really using an ISR2800 as an ISDN gateway to connect to other companies.
I've tried my best to follow the guidelines in http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/milticomm/h320Bonding.html#wp1260005 but I cannot make it work for inbound calls with a Tandberg Codian ISDN Gateway. There seems to be some issue in the signalling of the numbers for the secondary calls so thtat these are not sent from the Cisco. I can make it work with a CIsco ISR in both cases, ( actually the same one but sending the call externally via ISDN) so there must be some interoperability
I've opened a TAC case for that but now I'm more interested in general if this is used at all, if not I might abandon my idea of trying to videoenable some existing customers that already have the ISR and a Callmanager.

I've actually followed this up with the TAC as well as Tandberg support and it seems that there is a known interop issue between the TB gateway and the ISR, an issue that the TAC claims should be fixed by Tandberg Codian but the Tandberg/codian support claims there is no short term fix for.
Since my business case was not even strong enough for me to pursue this I've left it but here is some information if someone wants to pick this up:
I opened case number SR 616189131 - VCGWY Tricky! H.320 Bonding broken with Cisco Tandberg Codian - Peter Klein
with the Cisco TAC. They did not have an internal bugid but provided me with Tandberg/Codians number 11171.
I then opened case [TTS137425] Fix for bug 11171 with Tandberg support and got this answer:

I have informed the development team about the issue and also update the bug with the information presented.
As previously mentioned this unfortunately is not a short term fix. In case the impact is high over your bussiness kindly asked to contact directly the Key Account Manager and refer him to codian bug 11171. He will be able to get in direct contact with codian Product Management team and speed up the process if required.

well, you could ask some "Oracle VAD", or search the online store for a price - you won't find any.
I'd say this is a sure thing when you put all "evidence" given above together.

We have a client using WebTools 2007 PL07 and are already using Authorize.Net for CC Gateway. They also want to be able to use PayPal on their site for some customers. Can Webtools use two different CC gateways? Does it sound possible through a customization?

The solution is not setup to do this, a lot of customization would be required.

How can a user that uses a Remote Deskop Gateway reset their password if it expired?

Right now when a Remote Desktop Gateway user's password expires, the gateway server does not prompt them to change it. Instead, it just doesn't allow them to connect to their machine.

Just to extend on Armin's points,
If VPN access would be available, using AD authentication would still not allow you access if the password needs changing. If using a VPN, you would not need a gateway as you will connect to
the LAN in most instances.
The RDWeb site would need to be used in conjunction with the gateway if you are not using a VPN. The RDWeb and Gateway Roles can be installed on the same server simplyfing the deployment.
As Armin has suggested, i would recommend that you look at Password reset from the RDWeb interface or look at a identity management product Like FIM 2010 R2 which provided a Password reset
feature that can be published exernally.

Funny how I can ping the Extreme but the Hard Ethernet ports dont seem to work correctly.
When the AirPort Extreme is configured to "Join" a wireless network, the Ethernet ports are not enabled.
Oddly, the AirPort Express has a special feature that will allow it to to "Join" virtually any wireless network.....and the Ethernet port can be enabled. So, an Express would work for your purpose to provide an Ethernet connection to the media player. This assumes that the Express is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your main router.
Note that the Express will not provide any additional wireless coverage when it "Joins".

Issues with using leapord as a gateway.

I performed a clean install of mac osx server 10.5.1 on our new xserve.
I then used the gateway setup assistant to set the xserve up as a router.
Ethernet 1 has a static IP which is connected to our dsl line.
Ethernet 2 is connected to a switch with one computer. (DHCP Server)
When only the dsl modem is connected I am able to access the internet from the server just fine. But as soon as I turn on the switch (which is unmanaged by the way) I loose the ability to connect to the internet.
Yes, I tried rebooting etc..
Has anyone encountered this scenario? I can post any additional info if needed.

Ethernet 1 (en0 ?) is just connected to the modem? No PPPoE connection?
Ethernet 1 is on top of the list of interfaces i Network prefpane?
The router filed is not filled in on Ethernet 2 TCP/IP settings?

Issues with using Embedded PL SQL Gateway with Apex 4.2

I have installed Oracle 11g R2 and want to develop an application using Apex 4.2 (needs upgrade from 3.2 version which has come bundled).
For the server, I would like to use the Oracle HTTP server, but it seems to require a separate license as against the same in Oracle10g.
I would like to know what are the performance related issues b/w using the embedded PL/SQL Gateway (Oracle XML DB HTTP Server) that comes with Oracle 11g R2 as against the HTTP Server found as a part of the fusion middleware bundle. Is it wise to procure the license for HTTP Server?
Details:
DB OS: Windows 7 (64 bit) (DB and Apex are on the same machine)
Number Of Users of application: 10-20
Application is mainly used more for keeping track of details as against heavy processing or the like

Can't connect to a majority of webpages using the RG54gs residential gateway

I'm stumped with the MSI Residential Gateway.
We primarily got it as a gift for my father-in-law who had just aquired a centrino laptop. He started complaining that he was not being able to download his e-mails. Found out later, it was because the gateway shuts off the connection after some time of inactivity and on occassion after a few minutes. There was some improvement after I installed the new firmware (feb release) but it was still there.
I decided to bring it home and test it on my network. I immediately noticed that I couldn't visit all the sites I used to. It seemed that all the secondary sites were no longer available. An example is, opened google (can connect), google searched for RG54gs and come up with the msi website but when I click on the link to the msi website, I get a page not available error. This is also the same thing that happens to the rest of the links. I hooked all connections back to my accton router and I'm able to access all site again.
Can't figure out what the problem is?
There was a suggestion that for Ppoe connection you're suppose to leave the "connect on demand" button disabled. I found a little improvement when it was enabled. All this is using the wired part. Using the wireless is totally useless with almost everything unaccessible even though the signal is excellent.
Sorry for the long story but it's really got me to a point where I don't know what else to do.

Are you sure that this did not happen on the morning of June 15th when the major web sites were actually unavailable due to Akami problems?
Check the RG54GS configuration and see what DNS server it is using. Check the configuration of the PC and make sure it is using the RG54GS as the DNS server.
You don't mention if you are ADSL or cable. An incorrect MTU length (guess at 1400 if your service does not tell you) can cause connections to be dropped.
I use ADSL and could not connect at all until I got the new firmware, since then things have been OK. I am on a very marginal ADSL connection.

Setup for PDF printing using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway, 11G DB and APEX 3.1

I've setup APEX on 11G using the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway. Its all working well.
I've enabled Network Services and can see a couple of printers I've defined after running
select * from DBA_NETWORK_ACLS;
and also can see the FLOWS_030100 and FLOWS_030000 users when I run
select * from DBA_NETWORK_ACL_PRIVILEGES;
I have been through http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html and can see that I have a few choices ...
* Oracle BI Publisher,
* Apache FOP or
* some other XSL-FO Processing Engine.
I am not able to use Oracle BI Publisher ... license required:-( ... so that leaves the other two choices .. as I'm using the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway the Apache FOP is not an option ..
that leaves other XSL-FO Processing Engine .. has anyone had any experience in this area .. and can give me a few pointers ...
I'm kinda surprised I have little choice .. am I missing something?

Not a true statement. Using Oracle Containers for J2EE (10.1.3.2), as listed in that document you reference, is all you need to use Apache FOP. You don't know the full-blown Apache.

Using a lan/hpib gateway (Agilent) with a NI GPIB pci card

Need to be able to use a E2050 lan/hp-ib gateway (Agilent) together with a NI GPIB pci card on the same workstation (windows). I need 2 seperate gpib busses but also need the remote functionality or the lan/hpib box. I would use ni enet but it will not work together with a installed gpib card, only one or the other. Read information on useing an hp card with a ni card in the same system but cannot get it to work with the lan box. I do not have a hp card to install in my computer to see if that works or not. Has anyone attempted a similar task?

It is possible to use a PCI and ENET board in Windows 9X/ME. The solution for Windows NT/2000 is to use the new VISA server technology using two computers.
Computer A:
This is a computer that will not use a GPIB plug-in board, but is on the network. Install the GPIB-ENET/100 driver and VISA 2.6. Then, set the appropriate VISA server permissions and run VISAServer.exe (see the VISA Programmer's Reference for more details ni.com/manuals).
Computer B:
Install the PCI-GPIB driver and VISA 2.6. Use Remote VISA to access the ENET/100 through the other computer's driver.
This is also a very useful technology for remotely controlling numerous instruments throughout a distributed laboratory.

Use Arch as a gateway

Hey,
I have read some of the Wiki articles on Sharing a connection, but I was not sure if those were the right ones for my setup. What is want to do is the following: I have two ethernet cards on my Linux box and a wireless router available. I want to make the router use the Linux box (Arch) as a gateway so that I can share its connection wirelessly with other computers.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

:DI also have my linux firewall, server, gateway in the same arch PC here, due to limit in money :P. But it does not a matter if you set up you iptables correctly to do NAT as well as blocking unused ports. I am using dialup connection with speedtouch adsl modem, so you can easily set it up with ppp.
so my suggestion is on the arch gateway, you set up iptables and ppp to connect to the internet. With another ethernet interface, you connect to wireless router with network 172.16.0.0/24, for example. from the wireless router, you share connections with client PC by using ip address 10.0.0.0/24, for example. If you can setup you wireless router as a bridge, you need only one private network. At the arch gateway, you need to statically setup your routing table, with route command to point to your private network so that it can route traffic correctly. For example:
route add -net 10.0.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 172.16.0.2
where 172.16.0.2 is the ip address of your wireless router.
We are archers, so it is better to stay away from the fucking stupid Microsoft Windows.

Can RD for Administration be used to install RD Gateway?

Have a Server 2008 R2 virtual machine running in a web hosting environment. The company has enabled Remote Desktop Administration and we have been using RD Connection to access the virtual server without any problem. However, due to firewall considerations
we would like to use RD Gateway with port 443 instead of the standard RD port 3389.
Perhaps this may be obvious, but if on a RD admin connection, is it possible to successfully install RD Gateway? For example, when you hit "Install" for the Gateway, will it automatically drop the existing RD admin connection?
The main concern right now is the we don't end up somehow locking ourselves out of RD altogether if the Gateway has install or config problems. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Went ahead with the install accepting the defaults. Got the following result:

Opened RD Gateway Manager, but didn't see any servers. Tried to manually connect but received:
"Unable to read RD Gateway Server Settings"
Not sure what to do next. Perhaps, this type of configuration with a pre-existing install of IIS is not supported.

Using the SciLab LabVIEW gateway

Has anyone had any success running commands through the SciLab Scripting Node that are avaialble through an installed module in SciLab? I am trying to run a command (emd) that is available through the EMD ToolBox, but am getting an error (Error 1050 occurred at LabVIEW: Error occurred while executing script. Error message from server: . in Untitled 3) that doesn't really provide much insight as to what is wrong. Essentially, the input (in) is a 1D array of reals, the output (out) is a 2D array of reals and the code in the node is out = emd(in). This works when I am in SciLab, but fails when using the SciLab scripting node. I am able to run other simple scripts using the SciLab scripting node (for example, if I use out = sin( 10 * in), I get a 1D array of reals that is what it should be), so I do not think that this is an issue with the Scripting node. I can't find much in the way of documentation, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am running SciLab 5.4.0, with the EMD Toolbox installed (installed using ATOMS), LabVIEW 2010 and the current version of the SciLab LabVIEW gateway that is available on the NI website.

DMTF not working using IP to IP gateway

Hi,
I have a Cisco IP telephony infrastructure with Cisco Call Manager 4.0(2a) and Cisco 7940G series IP Phones. I have implemented "IP to IP gateway" using a Cisco 2651XM router. I have followed the Configuration guide of "IP-IP gateway" during my configuration.
The IP2IPGw is configured for H323-to-H323 and will register with a gateway of an Internet Telephony Service provider (ITSP).
Now when I make an outbound call to a conference bridge, the bridge requests for the code and the digits pressed from my ip phone is not accepted. The same when I do it from a Analog phone using a FXS port, it works.
The IPIPGw document specifies the dtmf-relay is enabled by deafult. I still have configured all available dtmf options, but still no luck.
Please help me in resolving this.

I had configured the DTMF parameters on the dial-peer's with h245-alphanumeric and also with rtp-nte, but no luck.
I have configured an Inter Cluster Trunk between CCM 4.0 and IP-IP Gateway router. I am not sure if there are any configuration on CCM end related to DTMF.
I even tried the rtp-payload (dial-peer) and is still not working.
Let me know your suggestions on this.
