Using itunes downloaded song in Video

I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 that I make video's with. Can I use the songs I download from itunes in these video's? if so, how can I add them since the songs are protected? TIA

Thank you Joseph. Now can you tell me if I am up a creak without a paddle because I didn't save songs I downloaded because I had to re-install itunes? I'm new at this. I was taught when I remove a program you have to get rid of all parts of that program before in-stalling it. Thanks

I have the same issue...I called Adobe and they said that Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7 ...so I tried installing the suite again without Acrobat and still the same issue....does anyone know if this issue is resolved by getting the new CS5 suite??? Going on what other people have posted your purchases will disappear off the Purchased links for redownloading (they won't be removed from your iTunes library or iOS devices), but as long as you have all your downloads on your backup of your library then that shouldn't be a problem - you won't be able to redownload anything from the Australian store unless you return to Australia anyway.

You need to get the original set of discs that came with the Macbook Pro and reinstall the system software.
Insert the disc and hold down C while booting the machine. Eventually you will get a menu and you want to reinstall the system software.
The calendars were deleting because they were still attached to your husband's MobileMe/iCloud account. Reinstalling through the system software discs should not affect your husband's calendars and will allow a fresh shart for your son letting him set up his own account on the Mac.
If you do not have the set of CDs from that Macbook Pro you can get a new set from Apple for a nominal cost. DO NOT use the CDs that came with the new Macbook Pro. They are not compatible.

I read something recently that concerned me about DRM limitations on iTunes music. I make a lot of videos and slide shows. I will purchase a specific tune from iTunes just to use it in a slideshow. Can I use iTunes purchased music in a slideshow and export it to burn to a DVD?

My concern was unfounded. I misread a FAQ at the Fotomagico website. My concern would be valid only for "third-party" applications, according to the website below. Phew!
Here is the text from the FAQs pages at the Fotomagico site:
"How can I use songs purchased on the iTunes Music Store?
FotoMagico cannot include audio from songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store in an export movie, as Apple prohibits third party applications to access the sound data. How to import iTunes purchased song into video with "Muvee autoProducer"?

Using an iTunes purchased song and also "Muvee autoProducer" for the first time and can't use my iTunes purchased song to import into my video. Following the instructions the song doesn't come up as a MUSICFILE, but it is found by selecting ALLFILES. It is an Audio file (protected). For some reason the Windows Media player symbol appears as the program to open file. I select to add it to my video and an error occurs:
"The format of the music file that you have selected is not supported."

Have I done something wrong ? Can I change the file format in some way to use ?

I think I have figured it out. I found Popcorn 3 and Crunch by Roxio which will do the job!

Can't use itunes purchased songs in iDVD

I'm trying to use a song I purchased on itunes as music for the menu of an iDVD project I'm working on, but all I get is the following message: This computer is not authorized to play "01 Americal Girl.m4p".
I was able to do this just fine until yesterday when I had to update itunes for my new ipod nano. Now I can't use ANY itunes purchased songs in iDVD or imovie.
Please help me solve this!!

New Mac User: iTunes Downloading Songs

Since you can only download songs once, how come there is an option to "check for available downloads"?

But if I have a song that I pull of a backup that I made (a file backup) that's now on an external hard drive -- if I copy that to iTunes, will it recognize it that it's a file I did purchase a while ago
The account info it was purchased with is embedded in the song file.
If the computer is authorized for that account, it will play.
If the song does not have DRM (file kind is M4A) the computer does not even need authorization.

iCloud doesn't store music. I assume you are using itunes match, a different service.
Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.
