Using itunes gift cards in germany

Our foreign exchange student bought an ipod here in the USA. He got a bunch of itunes gift cards for christmas. He tried to use them but when he logs into the apple store it connects him to the website in germany and it will not let him use his itunes. Is there anything we can do so he can use his cards here in the US or in germany if he takes them with him?

If the gift cards were purchased in Germany, the German iTunes Store will be the only one in which they cards will be valid; they cannot be used in the US iTunes Store. Since the iTunes Store terms of use prohibit a user from accessing any Store from outside of its country, your student will need to wait until he's back in Germany to use those cards.

    I'm not sure what you mean. Did you redeem the gift card to your iTunes Store account? If not, just give your brother the gift card and he can redeem it in his own iTunes Store account. If you did redeem the card, then there's no way to transfer the balance from your iTunes Store account to his. He'd have to use your iTunes Store account to make the purchases and sync to his devices.

    I'm sorry, but there is nothing that I can do to help you with this situation. I don't know why, but many people have problems when they try to buy gems in the Clash of Clans game. Personally, I wouldn't touch the game with a ten foot pole, but that's just my opinion.

    How did you create the account ? Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
    then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
    If you didn't use those instructions then you will need to enter card details (you should be able to remove them after entering them), or create a new account (and use the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating it).

    and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that

    I have a used iTunes gift card that I'd like to recycle. It says on the back of the card that it's made of ingeo - a plant based "plastic". I found their website but still don't know if I can just put the used card in with my plastics for recycling.
    I love that Apple is using this product - I refuse to purchase gift cards because they are landfill-destined plastic. I'll have to make exceptions for companies like Apple that "go green" in this way. Just wish they promoted the fact moreso on the product and on their website.
