Using iTunes music

I tired using iTunes music while making a picture DVD with music on my PC. All my iTunes music was NOT able to be used! Why is that?? Will I be able to use any of my purchased music to make music videos on my PC???

Because of the "terms of use" of these forums, I'm not allowed to say anything else. Sorry.
The only thing I can add is make sure you purchase the iTunes plus files which are not protected & can be used in whatever manner you need. Also, amazon.com is now selling unprotected mp3 files, so you might consider them for your purchases.

  • How do I use itune music for creating photo DVDs with music in adobe element 10?

How do I use/transfer itune music for DVDs with music in adobe elements premier?

    On each computer:
Open iTunes. Select Preferences from the iTunes menu and click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar. At the top you will see a box showing the path to your iTunes library. Click on the Change button, navigate to the location for the library on your external drive, select it and click on the Open button. Note this permanently changes the library's location on that computer. That means you cannot access your music unless the external drive is connected.
If you don't want a permanent change, then press the OPTION key and hold it down while you launch iTunes. iTunes will then prompt you to select the library you wish to open for that session.

  • I have a 5th gen iPod Touch. I have made playlists in iTunes. I need to get them to the iPod. When I had a Classic, it was automatic. You could drag and drop using iTunes music to the playlist in iTunes and it would automatically sync to the Classic.

I have a 5th gen iPoc Touch. In the past, with the Classic, I could drag and drop from my iTunes music to a Classic playlist through iTunes. Now, the playlist I create in iTunes doesn't show on the Touch. I have maybe 29 GB of music on my Touch. I have already created playlists in iTunes that have substantial amounts of songs in each. How can I get those playlists on the Touch without doing a total sync that wipes the iPod? Is there a way to do it?
As well, I am noticing here that my 5th gen iPod doesn't show as a registered device. How do I register it?

    For how to sync see:

  • Registration problems using itunes Music Card

Hi - anyone out there having a problem registering with a music card? Seems music store has acknowledged redemption of card but will not allow registration because payment field demands credit card details which, naturally,I don't want to give!
Also support says there is a "None" button in payment field to indicate no credit card because you want to use a music card but when I register there is no such button!
Could my problem have been caused because I redeemed the music card BEFORE registering for an account?
Have sent an inquiry e-mail to iTunes but thought someone out there might be able to help out a bit quicker! Thanks

You redeem a card one time only.  The entire amount is then transferred to the account that redeemed it.  The card is of no use after this.  The credit has beenr edeemed.  it does not stay on the card at all.

  • How to use itunes music into adobe premiere elemesnts video

I want to use my itunes music into a adobe video.
How can I transform the itunes music so I can use into the abode video?

Try to use instructions for consolidating library from here, see if that helps. At some point I have noticed, especially with huge library it gets hard for itunes to keep information about different locations, unless you have external drive plugged permanently.

  • Can we use iTunes music API to our own website? But only want audio.

    Hi Everyone,
Trying to integrate iTunes music API to our own website but just want only audio API to call. Please let me know steps to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Indexing all fields in a record is possible in BDB but is fairly expensive since an index record will be written for every field. If you have a relatively small data set then perhaps this is not a problem, but be sure to do performance testing.
The common approach is to use a single secondary database (index) to create a many-many relationship. The key for this index will include the field name as well as the field value. This means that all fields can be indexed, including new fields that are added, using a single index and without changing code when new fields are stored.
Indexes are created using Environment.openSecondaryDatabase. In the SecondaryConfig that you pass to this method:
      - Call setSortedDuplicates(true) since more than one record can have the same key.
      - Call setMultiKeyCreator(...) since the index will contain multiple keys for a single record.
You implement the SecondaryMultiKeyCreator interface to extract the keys from your JSON record. This returns a set of keys, one for each field you want to index.
The format of the index key can be anything you'd like (as you know BDB uses byte arrays for keys). For example, you could use a string of the form NAME:VALUE as the key, so that you could do your lookups using that format. To serialize a string as bytes, use a class in com.sleepycat.bind.tuple such as StringBinding.
To do your lookups, pass your index key (NAME:VALUE) to SecondaryDatabase methods such as get().
See the javadoc for SecondaryDatabase, SecondaryConfig, SecondaryMultiKeyCreator. An example is in examples/je/ToManyExample.java.
Would something like that work for you?

  • Problem using itunes music in iphoto slide show

When creating a slide show with iPhoto, I cannot use my iTunes music anymore. I can see the list in the music window settings but there is no way to get access to it, either by directly double clicking on the title or by creating a dedicated playlist to the slide show.
Thisproblem seems to have happen after one of the updates of either OSX, iphoto or itunes as I have been using that feature previously and it did work well.
    Anybody facing the same problem?
    Thanks

Can you see your iTunes library in other aoolications, for example in Mail, when you try to send an audio attachment?
I the iTunes library is missing in all applications from the Media Browser, try to reorganize the iTunes Library in iTunes
Main menu bar:  File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library
    Quit iTunes and relaunch it.
    Quit iPhoto and relaunch it.

  • Cannot buy book from iphoto or use itunes music store

I cannot get a book to print from iphoto or access itunes music store through my school network. My school has a PC network, I am the only teacher to use macs in my classroom. I can access the music store through XP on parallels so I know the network connection is good. I believe the problem is a network setting either on my macbook or in our server. Our Tech cannot identify the problem. I just updated all applications to the latest versions.

Seems a Firewall issue on the Mac, perhaps this...

  • Using iTunes Music Database File to get my music back...

Is this possible? How do you do it? All I have left is an emoty folder, the iTunes Music Database File and an xml document.

Are the tracks themselves still in the iTunes Music folder? Or are they gone?
If they're missing from the iTunes Music folder, take a look here for some tips on how to look for them. If you can't find them, then you'll have to restore the tracks from your backups and re-import your CDs.
If they're still in the iTunes Music folder, then you should be able to just use the Add To Library and select the iTunes Music folder to get the tracks back into the iTunes library.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can I use itunes music songs royalty free in my commercial videos?

I license songs for use in my videos. Does Itunes support this? How do I use it easily?

    Mongo,  No.
Here is the rule, from the Apple Legal page:
"You shall be authorized to use iTunes Products only for personal, noncommercial use."

  • No matter what I try - unable to use iTunes music store

My iTunes account info has my correct credit card info (expires in 2008) yet I keep getting an error message saying 'credit card is about to expire.' And that's not the case.
I emailed Apple and got their suggestion which included things like 'select NONE' in the credit card, log out, log back in and re-enter the information. I've done that a million times and still I am unable to use my active credit card to purchase music.
Yet I WAS able to do a gift iTunes certificate going through Apple's online store.
I have no idea why this problem persists. I'm using the latest iTunes, 10.4.7 - and nothing I've done makes it better.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
    Was it setup via wifi?

  • Use iTunes music for customer DVD

    Hi
A customer has asked me to edit some footage from camcorder tapes for her and put them on a DVD with some background music.  The tracks she has asked for she does not have and has asked me to get them for her.
As I am only producing a single DVD for her and will get the appropriate licence in the UK from the MCPS/PRS, can I purchase the music from iTunes or should I buy the CDs.
    Thanks in advance
    Matt

I can buy a set of tracks from iTunes, burn them to a CD using another app, delete the purchased tracks from my Library and my hard drive, and then import them from the CD I burned, and AT THAT POINT the licensing terms for the music change because they are no longer "purchased from the iTunes store" as far as ANY technology can differentiate, but rather from a CD I own (regardless of how I came to own it)?
No, you cannot do that. The licensing you agree to when you purchase from the iTunes Store remains in effect regardless of how you are storing the tracks.
Or are you saying that DRM remains intact throughout the entire process and I'm violating terms (or the law) if I lend a CD to someone that I burned from iTunes purchases?
You are violating the terms of sale if you lend the CD to anyone else. You are also violating the law if you allow the person to keep the tracks.
If not, I stand on my statement: Purchased IS purchased... at least it is in the U.S. according to the DMCA.
Your statement is still wrong. You are contractually prohibited from using any content purchased from the iTunes Store for anything other than your own personal use. You can read the iTunes Store terms of sale for yourself (for the US, since you mention that country, but all the other stores have the same terms):
    http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/us/terms.html#SALE
The DMCA does not come into play in this matter, this being an issue of licensing, not copyright or DRM.
    Regards.

  • Help!!! Legal advice for using iTunes music as a DJ in the UK

Hi. I work as a DJ and would like to use music I have purchased from iTunes in a club where all licences (PPL & MCPS) are paid. Can I get permission or pay a fee that allows me to do this legally? And if so how do I go about this?
    Please help!!!
    Silv

DJ in the UK, Typically the way that it works here in the United States clubs pay royalties to ASCAP, BMI etc.... and the Governing body is the RIAA, The Club usually purchases or Pays the DJ in which the Licensing fees are paid. To the best of my understanding Apple abides by domestic and international laws that prevail with regard to copyright and royalties ie. RIAA and other governing agencies internationally.
To the best of my understanding after reading Apples TOA you are in no way prohibited from playing that music you legally purchased for a Public Audience as long as local applicable Laws and Licensing fees which by the way are not dictated by Apple, are paid. Apple is a retailer not a governing body. The terms of the sale, TOS or TOA terms of agreement from the Apple store are intended to protect Apple from any unwarranted legal actions. However, since Apple is a private for profit company and not a Governing Institution. For the laws in your area I would contact a Barrister familiar with Copyright and Royalties similar to the RIAA, Ascap and BMI here in the U.S.A.

  • IPhoto 9.6 Slideshows - Can't Use iTunes music

    Hardware
    iMac 27-inch, Late 2012
    OS
    OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
    Applications
    iPhoto 9.6
    iTunes 12.0.1.26
Issue: when changing the settings to 'Fit slideshow to music' this message comes up:
error message: the music you have selected is too short for the number of photos in your slideshow
When I change the music setting to a playlist in iTunes, it doesn't work and reverts back to the default sample music.
I tried changing the music formats to mp3: didn't work.
Attempted the organize library fix in iTunes BUT, that option is greyed out.
There has to be more people with this issue out there.
I didn't have this problem before all the updates.
The only option I have at the moment is to export the slideshow with no music and then use a video editing program to sync music with it.
Which isn't a big deal but using iPhoto to create the whole thing USED TO WORK...
Shoddy software engineering IMHO...Come on Apple! You're better than this.

You can't use or convert standard iTunes 128 kbps copy protected songs for playing in other programs. The only thing you can do with standard songs apart from playing them in iTunes or on an iPod/iPhone is burn them to Audio CD. You can use that CD just like any regular one. The iTunes Store songs are now all iTunes Plus which are no longer copy protected and can be played outside of iTunes.
