Using iTunes Software
Hi everybody!
I'm a big fan of Apple products from Myanmar.
Now I have some difficulties with using iTunes software in my laptop ( windows 7, 32 bits operated ).
Before I connected to wireless Internet, iTunes played easily.
After updating new softwares for iTunes from the Internet, it doesn't work properly.
Please give some advice to my address ( zarnitun2015 ).

Macbook OSX 10.5.8, iPhoto 8.1.2. I just tried to import some photos using Nikon software (View NX2) for the first time. When I next looked into iPhoto it was empty (so was iTunes but that's another story). I had backed up photos fairly recently but don't use time machine. Searched in vain everywhere and must have done something wrong because iPhoto wouldn't then open at all, saying it was unreadable. After a lot more attempts to recover I uninstalled iPhoto and the receipts and reinstalled from my original disc. It seemed to be ok and imported some photos from my iphone but as soon as the import is complete iPhoto crashes and when opened again it is empty. Have tried this several times and have shut down and have tried rebuilding with the alt and cmd buttons but nothing seems to help. Any ideas?
not a reply but not sure how to add something to my own thread! It seems that Desktop was damaged too as when I try to open it a screen says there is no application selected to open Desktop with. No idea what I should choose! Any help appreciated, have really made a mess of my MacBook this time.

Using Fifth Gen and 20G on same Itunes software
I have both 5th Gen and 20Photo. I want to have same playlists etc on both. How do I take itunes software for 20G color and have it recognize and update 5th Gen?
The computer won't recognize the 5th Gen, and I am afraid if I put in the disc that came with 5th, it might ruin my 20G library. I guess I need the driver for the 5th for the comp to recognize it any help?The iPod Updater contains the latest drivers (firmware) for every iPod. If you have it on the PC now, then just update the iPod (if needed). Chances are, you need the most recent Updater loaded for the 5th Gen. Use the disk or download it.

Once you get both iPods seen via iTunes, decide how you wnat to sync them. These links should help:

Just for clarity, do you have iTunes 11.1 now on your computer? If yes, when you connect your iPhone via your USB / Lightning cable is your iTunes opening with a small box near the top right of screen that shows your iPhone connected? If yes then you can click through the various views of your iPhones content areas, such as Music, Photos, etc. You will eventually get to a screen that is Status. On that screen you should see the iOS Update option.

Hi All, I plugged my iPhone into my laptop and I was asked to upgrade my iTunes software. It took more than seven hours and just to be told that my SIM card does not appear to be supported. Since then I can not use my iPhone. I am lost plse help. Jam53
Every time I switch on the iPhone, the iTunes icon is displayed together with a USB icon and Emergency call message appears on the screen in many languages. When I touch the i symbol I get the following information IMEI: **** AND ICCID: ****
However, the iphone is visible in the Devices directory in iTunes. I changed my SIM card but still can not be recognized by the iPhone.

I was running the newest version of Snow Leopard, and after running Software update, I can no longer run, open, sync or use iTunes in any way. PLEASE what happened?

after updating to ios 6.1.3 seems my factory unlocked 3gs is not working, i cant even restore..the message displayed is "itunes software update server cannot be contacted" 'm using latest itunes with winows xp system...........please please help me
There is no such thing as a "Factory Unlocked iPhone "
They are either locked to a carrier who may at some stage offer unlocking
or sold direct to a user by Apple (from their own Stores or online .)
Those iPhones are NOT locked

My iPad Mini iOS7 is showing only Apple Logo which happened during software update. I tried to restore using iTunes but it asking me to response from iPad. But my ipad only shows apple logo. How can i response? How to solve this problem?
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
There was some updayts for my iPad 4 automatically downloaded. After installing it, the iPad began to restart itself every few minutes.
I tryed to update my iPad using iTunes. After connecting to MacBook Pro, where is installed all latest software, iPad is recognised as "iPad", Serial Number: n/a. iTunes run recovery mode, trying to restore iPad firmware, and in the end unknown error occured (3). Tried many times, not results. And now iPad stays only in recovery mode, can't switch it off. How can I solve this problem please?When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

What happens if i use a software other than itunes to transfer music?

Im new to apple and its softwares, tricks..etc.
So the question is i purchased some stuff from itunes i would like to have in phone and i also have loads of music in my pc that were taken from old cds etc...after my research i noticed there is a itune match or someting that can allow you do that with a 25$/year cost which i agree is not much and i might end up doing it but i don't find it right to NOT HAVE FULL control over my stuff...so is there anyway to be able to transfer these old songs into iphone without using itunes without any risk or problem?iNoella wrote:

Ipod Touch can't find Bluetooth device. (Jam Box)
Upgraded Itunes software did a backup and restore on the Ipod.
My PC sees Jam Box fine. IPod used to work with JamBox. Reset Jambox, no luck.
Followed every instruction from the forums. Still no luck.
Reset Jam Box to factory settings.Did a network reset on the Ipod after the backup and restore. No luck

I am using an older ipod touch with version 4.2.1 software (newest available). I am using itunes 64-bit version 10.7 (newest). when trying to connect i get this error message...."This ipod cannot be used because the proper software is not installed. Install 64-bit itunes software." As mentioned 64 bit IS installed. Everything was working just fine a couple weeks ago.....no idea what happened! I have run all the troubleshooting guides mentioned by apple....uninstall, reinstall, reset ipod, etc.
No clue what is going on.....any possibility there is a "hidden" file within itunes that is causing this problem?

KevinYes...have done this numerous times.....even found some files that normal uninstall does not delete (.itl type).
This really weird because I have several other computers in the house that all work just fine. ALL run Windows 7, ALL have iTunes vers 10.7, ALL sync just fine. -
Im using Itunes version 10.6.3 to try to restore my Ipad. Check for updates tells me this is the most recent verion, but its also telling my I cant restore my Ipad because its doesnt have the software available yet.

First time connecting to Itunes saying cannot be used required software not
Just acquired ITouch 8GB, when first turning on after charging only shows the Itunes picture and the cord, after downloading Itunes 7.7 and connecting Ipod error message, This Ipod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the Itunes installer to remove them install Itunes again. I have tried everything I have seen online to correct this. I have removed the Itunes software and anything that has to do with it and reinstalled over 5 times and still nothing. I have no clue what to do. Help please!!! Also I am fairly computer illiterate
I finally had success!! I saw in another forum a post where the person had the same problem and removed QuickTime and then iTunes, restarted, and then re-installed iTunes. This person said it worked. So, I took it a step more and did this:
1-Uninstalled QuickTime
2-Uninstalled Apple Moble Device Manager
3-Uninstalled Apple Software Update Manager
4-Uninstalled iTunes
5-Restarted Computer
6-Installed iTunes
7-Restarted Computer
After that, all is well. You might not need to do all that, but that is what worked for me on my Windows 8 machine after the last iTunes update.
