Problems using iTunes Visualizer

Previously iTunes Visualizer worked correctly.
Now it will not launch.
Any ideas why?

My graphic card is set to 1080p and download the 64bit version of Itune 8. The visualizer works in Itune screen but would not start on the full screen mode. I have another instance installed on my XP, it is working fine with full screen mode. Not sure if that is the same issue you are having. Anyone can help???

Using iTunes Visualizer as the automatic Screensaver

The Visualizer in iTunes is VERY cool.
Is there any way to make this appear as the automatic screensaver while playing music in iTunes?

I would love to know this too!
Perhaps there is an Automator script that performs this function?

Using iTunes visualizer and equalizer

I like to listen to iTunes music with the visualizer on. I also like to experiment with the equalizer manually. Is there anyway I can have 1/3 of the screen showing the song and artist, 1/3 of the screen showing a small version of the visualizer, and the last 1/3 of the screen showing the equalizer so I can manually change settings. I would prefer to change settings manually instead of having them pre-set. If this is not possible, I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

ITunes Visualizer not working

I am running a G4 iMac with version 6.0.5 of iTunes. Noticed that the Visualizer is not playing anything. When I turn on the Visualizer all I get is a black screen. Music still plays fine and everything else is working properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ITunes 10.2.1.1 crashes when using the visualizer

Running Win7, completely up to date, NVIDIA GeForce G210 with current drivers. When I start up the visualizer iTunes runs for a few songs and then suddenly goes silent, screen goes black, and my entire system freezes requiring a hard power-down. This started happening this week. Tried restoring to an earlier date but no help.
I can't use an application that fails. Does Apple want me to stop using iTunes?

After a lot of research it seems Apple intentionally designed it this way. It's a power management issue. With iTunes 10, Apple decided to allow iTunes to "work with" the PC's power management settings, which means when the PC goes to sleep, iTunes allows it to do that. Having the visualizer going no longer keeps the system "active". And when it goes to sleep, it can't be woken up by anything other than a hard re-boot. So their intention is apparently to force Windows users to disable their security-related system sleep settings if they're to use the visualizer during extended plays. How wonderful. Apple is starting to sound more and more like the competition when it comes to user friendliness.

Can I use captured footage of the itunes visualizer in videos?

I know someone already asked about still images captured from the visualizer but I've been screencapturing the performance of the Itunes visualizer playing along to some of my bands music, obviously it pulses itself to whatever music is being played, and I also sort of choreograph sequences by enabling and disabling the freeze and camera lock, and using mode changes. I then take the footage and often mirror image the video sort of like a Rorshact Test and sometimes layer that with a kaleidoscope effect or other random video images and effects I've created and or recorded and I sync that to my bands music.
So I would like to use this stuff as sort of videos and background for our music and posting it to Youtube, I really just intend it as something to play along with the music that may or may not be interesting to watch, I'm not interested in passing this off as like my sole artistic creation. Of course I have no problem stating that I used the Itunes Visualizer to generate graphics and source material for these intended videos but is that enough? I have seen other people posting videos that contain images and sequences of the visualizer in various other contexts like tutorials and the like on Youtube, also Im not exactly making nor do I expect to make any kind of money off this, its mostly just for me and my friends, still I dont want to infringe/plagiarize anything but I'm curious where that all stands. Who exactly would I credit, Apple the entity or the actual, specific programmers of the visualizer, what about the specific algorhythms? How would I go about asking for a release?
I've tried looking all over the place for similar questions, the one with still images was the closest but not specific enough, so I hope I'm not double posting or anything.
I of course appreciate any advice on this but I'd really appreciate as specific an answer as possible. If it's a no-no from jumpstreet I'd rather know now, these things get kinda of tricky with art and copyright, again I'm not interested in claiming I solely created these images, but if I could credit someone and be allowed to use them and manipulate them how would one go about that?

But then what? I am in the same situation, and have both the original iPhone and original sim card, and that is it. I am not the original iPhone owner (that was a family member who now has a new iPhone), and I do not have a new iPhone or a new iPhone sim card. How to record itunes visualizer and use it in imovie?

I want to record iTunes Visualizer (with music) and put that footage on iMovie. First of all, how do i record the visualizer?? I was on youtube and i found a bunch of visualizer videos, so i know it is possible to record it.
I have iTunes 10, iMovie 09, and a Mac OS X Version 10.5.8 if that helps.

How can I use iTunes in 2 desktops simultaneously?

I wonder if I could have iTunes Visualizer running on one desktop and streaming to my TV via AppleTV and at the same time be able to use a second desktop on the same computer or on the laptop to switch songs without interrupting Visualizer.

you can use Home Sharing in iTunes.
iTunes > File > Home Sharing
Switch it on and
Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV.
Your Apple TV will pickup the folders when you go to the Screen Saver settings
They also "cache" so screen saver works if your computer is off.
Let me know if you need more details.

ITunes album art screensaver no longer works

My screensaver suddenly no longer displays the iTunes album artwork library.
Instead it's a black screen saying "Your iTunes Library does not contain any songs with artwork.
What happened here? Album artwork shows up fine in iTunes and the screensaver used to work just fine...

Update: I downgraded back to iTunes 8 - and the album artwork screensaver is finally back!
I also missed the photo album sorting feature with non-iPhoto photo syncing,
so for now the iTunes downgrade works for me ...
Hoping Apple will fix some of these issues with one of the next updates!

ITunes visualizer problem with RGB (VGA) connection to plasma tv

when i use my vga connection on my laptop to my plasma tv and use itunes, for some reason i cannot get the visualizer to work. it just goes black for a split second and then just back to itunes screen. any idea why that would be? the visualizer works fine when not connected via VGA.

Well I guess I won't get an answer here, can anyone tell me who/where to find out what the problem is? Thanks!

ITunes Visualizer on External Display Blacks Out Main Display

Is it possible to have the iTunes Visualizer full screen on an external display while keeping the main display active?
In other words, I'd like to have my 2nd monitor display the iTunes Visualizer in full screen while I do work on my main screen. Every time I try this it forces the main screen to go black.
Does anyone have a solution, or is this just the limitations of iTunes and/or the Mac?
(By the way, the closest I've come is to put the iTunes window on the 2nd display, start the visualizer, and make its window as large as it will go. But, you still see the top of the iTunes chrome above and below the visualizer.)

I realise this is an old post, but have not yet seen an explanation of how I have solved this problem.
Its not a complete solution as it only works if you want to use iTunes, and does require an iPad or an iPhone.
First configure the Apple remote App on your iPhone, or iPad, or both iPad is best, but iPhone works almost as well.
Check that you can control the music from your i'Device'
Drag the iTunes window onto the external screen/projector. I am assuming external monitor with a different screen geometry to main screen, but if you can handle some gaps, you can mirror displays just as well.
Turn on the Visualiser - and put it into full screen.
If you can't see the external screen the following short cuts are useful.
⌘T - turn on Visualizer
^⌘F - turn on Full Screen
Your main screen will blank out, but you will still have full control of your music from the Remote App.
Very cool if you are having a party, and want the visualiser on the large LCD TV, or on a projector.

Try using another connection such as VGA or DVI to see if the problem repeats itself.
