Using ITunes with a Rented Movie

I want to throw a party for my son with an outdoor movie. I'd like to download a rental to my laptop (G4 Powerbook) and project onto a screen. I have a home stereo with outdoor speakers in the yard. I have a wireless network already using Airport Extreme Base Station. I want to send the sound for the movie thru my home system so that it plays on the outdoor speakers. Since the rented movie downloaded from ITunes plays in ITunes, can I send the sound wirelessly to my outside home speakers? If so, what's the best way? Thank you (and my son would thank you, but it's a surprise!)

DRM = Digital Rights Management / Digitally Restricted Media.
Some of the companies that produce content for rent on the Apple store do so with the restriction that they will only rent them with a type of encryption and the use of HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). If the company supplies content with HDCP-enabled, then it can only be played back on the iPad itself or a TV that uses (and properly works with) HDCP.
The error you are experiencing is related to this. The company that supplied Apple with the content has enabled HDCP and as a result you cannot view the content on your TV.
You should contact Apple Support, complain, and request a refund. HDCP-infected content ought to be labeled as such in the iTunes store because many people have problems playing it back.

Hi there. Does it actually give you a message stating it's going to charge your credit card or is it simply asking to verify your information? You may see a prompt if your information is not up-to-date or if you have an expired credit card on file.
Also, Apple TV does show the credit card summary but it will charge your gift card by default as long as credit is available. You can verify your available credit by going to Store > View My Account from iTunes on your computer.

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

You can transfer iTunes content from an iTunes library on a single computer only.
Since these songs were purchased with the same iTunes account, you can download the song that is not in your iTunes library on the computer you will be syncing your iPhone with. Or you can download the song or songs direct on your iPhone.

Refer this article to reset Winsock to it's default. Your PCTools may have inserted LSP.

Video purchased through the iTunes store can be played on your computer, an iPod, through AppleTV. It can't however be transferred to a Motorola Q. Sorry.

Using ITunes with Ipod Mini

My wife and I both have Ipod Mini's using separate Music Libraries(like it that way) . The problem is if she's logged in and iTunes is open when I switch users and log in and try to use iTunes I get a message. It saids something along the lines of iTunes is being used by another user and unable to open. When I click ok iTunes goes away. I have to have my wife logoff to use itunes with my profile. I would think under XP you can run iTunes separately.

I am using iTunes 11.1.3 -- The most recent version. When I select something from my albums it just freezes. I have restarted it a few times with same result.
