Using JCOM in Native mode JIntegra Registry Entry Error

Hi
When I am using the weblogic's jcom feature and when I turn on the native mode
feature I get the foillowing error
The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.

at weblogic.Server.main(Server.java:32)
Reason: java.lang.RuntimeException: RegSetValueEx failed
The google search took me to a jintegra support page which says that
The
user of the application MUST have access privileges to the registry
(specifically, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Linar->JintMkr->[jvm name]).
I uninstalled and installed the weblogic hoping that this registry entry would
figure in my registry but it does not - so folks any clues!

The got the same error when I try to register the jvm using regjvmcmd command. Unfortunately regjvmcmd does not like dots in the jvmid. e.g., wlsgam47.gammadom.com will not work. So, you have to use wlsgam47 and then go to the registry and update the following property manually as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Linar->JintMkr->wlsgam47.gammadom.com.
Ofcourse you should have administrative privileges to do this.
After that the weblogic server starts without problem.
Good luck !

  • Using Sharepoint 2013 with SSRS native mode !

    Hi there !
We have 2 servers A & B. A is Sharepoint server and on B we have installed SSRS in native mode. Server C is database. We are not looking to use SharePoint Integration mode but We are planning to use native mode only !
We are looking for a way to make A & B talk as how a report hosted on B will show up on A since its not in integrated mode?
Can you please let us know of the proper steps to deploy this?
    Thanks in Advance !

the "integration" between SP and SSRS native mode is basically an IFrame.
you should be able to find the RS native mode integration solution file (which is just two webparts, the report manager web part, and report viewer web part) somewhere on the SQL server / media... should still work with SP2013.
Keep in mind that SharePoint's authentication will be COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT AND UNUSED when accessing the reports... an iFrame is just another web request made by the browser.

  • Registry entry 'ClientAlwaysOnInternet' value is 0.

    Hi
when I install the client (dropping CCR) it successfully installed. but loctionserive.log show's belo message repeatedly
Registry entry 'ClientAlwaysOnInternet' value is 0.
Registry entry 'Internet MP Hostname' is either missing or empty.
Internet MP Host name is missing.
    I am using native mode.
    How to resolve it?

Native mode is not the same as Internet Based Client Management so this is expected and is normal.
Are you trying to set the client to be Internet Only? If so, then you must install from the command line and set the ccmalwaysinf property to 1.

  • Turning off Internet Explorer 7 Standards Mode via registry? Help!

    Hi all
In his infinite wisdom, my predecessor rolled out a few PCs with Windows 7 Home premium. There are a few scattered around at various sites of ours that connect back to Central office via VPN. Due to the functions they preform these PCs cant be domained and
    just use local accounts.
We have a new web based finance system, that does not run correctly in Internet Explorer 7 Standards Mode - for the rest of the company I have turned it off via a GPO, but for these PCs (that dont even have local GP) I'm struggling to find the correct registry
entry to disable Internet Explorer 7 Standards Mode! Help!
The PCs are Windows & Home 32bit - I have searched and search and found nothing. Cheers guys

    Hi StevoHX,
Thanks for posting in TechNet Forum.
I will do more test on this requirement and will let you know the result as soon as possible.
I wonder if we don't disable the Internet Explorer 7 Standards Mode, could you open the web based finance system?

        return;

  • Reporting Services in both SharePoint 2013 connected and native mode?

Is it possible to configure Reporting Services (SQL Server 2014) to support both SharePoint 2013 connected mode and local Report Server in native mode on the same server using multiple instances of RS? The reason for this setup is to avoid having to purchase
SharePoint Enterprise CALs for other users than analysts and still be able to publish standard reports to all employees.
Management and analysts -> Custom reports published through SharePoint 2013 Enterprise (SP2013 ECALs and SQL Server 2014 core license). Data alerts and Power View enabled if possible.
All employees -> Standard reports published through Native Mode Report Server (SQL Server 2014 core license). Possible subscriptions.
I find the official documentation a bit lacking in this area but can't find anything stating against the above. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could confirm before planning the installs.
What I'm aiming for is somewhat similar to the "2 Tier Topology" described at: Example
License Topologies and Costs for SQL Server 2014 Self-Service Business Intelligence
With the difference that there is a separate SQL Server 2014 server used both by SharePoint and as a standalone BI-server.
SharePoint EE + SQL Server 2014 EE
    Excel Services
SSRS Add-in (Reporting Services, Power View)
SQL Server DB for SP Content, Configuration and Service Application DB:s
SQL Server 2014 EE - SharePoint + Standalone for BI
    SSRS SharePoint Mode
    SSRS Native Mode
SSAS (Not in SharePoint mode, skipping PowerPivot for now. Would Power View still work?)
SQL Server DB for Data Warehouse
= 1 x SharePoint EE Server Licence, 2 x SQL Server 2014 EE Server Licenses?
    Deployment
Topologies for SQL Server BI Features in SharePoint - Actually gives a good overview in the section "PowerPivot for SharePoint
2013 and Reporting Services Three Server Deployment". Just remove PowerPivot Service from Server 1 and change the Analysis Services in Server 2 to a regular native multidimensional mode. Server 2 would also be used for native Reporting Services.
Fallback or even beneficial option to install SSRS in SharePoint mode on the SQL Server instance used for content and configuration?

    Hi Daniel Wikar,
As per my understanding, you want to install two SQL Server instances on the same server, and configure one of the Reporting Services to SharePoint integrated mode, another to native mode.
According to my knowledge, multiple instances of Reporting Services on the same computer, where one instance runs in SharePoint integrated mode and the other instance runs in native mode is supported. But we must run all report server instances at the same
level. For example, if we are using SQL Server 2014, all report server instances must be SQL Server 2014.
Besides, Analysis Services and Reporting Services can be installed as standalone servers, in scale-out configurations, or as shared service applications in a SharePoint farm. Installing the services in a farm enables BI features that are only available in
SharePoint, including PowerPivot for SharePoint and Power View.

  • Need help uninstalling Acrobat 9.0 Pro (including registry entries)

    Hello;
I installed Acrobat Pro 9.0 and am not happy with it and want to COMPLETELY uninstall it. I was able to uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs, but I can see that there are still some left-over registry entries related to Adobe Acrobat 9 (this was the only Acrobat product installed on my system).
Does anyone know how to completekly remove all traces of Acrobat from one's system, including all registry entries? I cannot find anything on the Adobe website, and am looking for similar instructions that were posted for Acrobat 8 (kb400658)
    I'm running Windows XP SP3.
Thanks very much in advance for any help/advice offered.
    Regards, smeghead99

Thanks for that suggestion. I tried using the Microsoft Installer Utility but I can still see Acrobat entries in my registry.
Surely a step-by-step set of instructions to completely uninstall Adobe products (as was put together for Acrobat 8) should be made available by Adobe?
Thanks in advance to those who offer help.

  • How to connect SharePoint 2013 and Reporting Server - SQL Server 2008 - in native mode

    Hi,
We are running Report Server on a SQL Server 2008 environment in NATIVE mode.
We just installed a SharePoint 2013 environment. The SharePoint roles are installed on a single server and we are using a seperated SQL Server 2012 server.
The goal: Display reports created on the Report Server in SharePoint 2013.
The problem: I cannot get the two environments connected.
I've read a dozen or more blogs but are currently more confused then before.
What are the steps I need to take to connect the two environments?
What options do I have in displaying the reports in SP2013 - do the reports need to be on the Reporting Server or can I add them to a document library... or are there other options?
    Thnx!

    Hi Sander,
Thanks for posting your issue, Have you activated required SharePoint 2013 features in your site collection? also, Install Report builder Model in SharePoint 2013.
Kindly browse the below mentioned URL to setup reporting Server step by step
Note: In blog, Author has taken SQL SERVER 2012, but you can try the same with SQL SERver 2008

  • Kontrol49 and native mode glitch?

i had my k49 running in native mode just fine and now for some unknown reason i seem to have lost the ability to select scenes in native mode. the instruments load fine when i apply one to a track but if i try to hit say "scene 11 for automation mode" or "scene 13 for plug-in edit" nothing happens. no response on any of the 16 pads when pressing scene + a pad.
i've tried restoring factory presets, reinstalling the korg librarian and nothing seems to work. any ideas how i can restore the fully functioning native mode?
(as an aside does anyone know if 7.2 actually improves compatibility with controller surfaces?)

In native mode, the plugin parameters come up on the 8 knobs only, and are in a pretty arbitrary order, which makes it all but useless for anything more than twiddling the odd parameter - you end up spending more time paging between parameter sets than actually tweaking.
What I did, in my custom config, for every instrument I use (including all the Logic & Garagaband instruments, and third party ones as well) is learn the most useful parameters onto the knobs and faders. Typically, that's envelopes, filters, waveforms and whatever else makes sense for that instrument.
That means for everything I use, I have the 16 most important paramaters on all 16 controls, in a logical configuration, which is much more comfortable for synths etc.
It sounds like a nightmare to config, but once you know what you are doing regarding the controller assignments (modes, zones etc) it's actually not that bad to setup, apart from Logic's bugggy behaviour which is a real pain in the proverbials. I especially like the one where Logic deletes all your assignments without warning - that's great fun that one! (And there are many more, all reproducible.)
There are some details in native mode that I was planning on implementing or trying to implement, but due to the controller assignments unreliability, I've ceased developing my configs until Logic is fixed in this regard.

  • Missing registry entries for burning CDs

I used iTunes to burn soe playlists. This worked well. However, I also installed Nero Exprss after that. After this when  I brought up iTunes it gave the message "MIssing registry entries - cannot import or burn CDs or DVDs - reinstall iTunes" Though I was still able to import CDs after that, I cannot burn CDs. The error does not go away even after re-installing iTunes several times (either usiing an Update or after unistalling and doing a fresh install).
How can I fix this problem ?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • How to configure Reporting functionality to SharePoint 2013 if RS is already installed as Native mode

Is it possible to publish reports to SharePoint if SQL Server 2012 reporting service is on native mode?
    How to do it?
I have SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server 2012. I have created cube and reports with its data tools. This is single server environment.
This is what I have done:
    A) I can successfully see from SQL Server installation tool that "Reporting Service-SharePoint" and "Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products" are checked.
    B) I don't see Reporting Services under the Manage Service Application of the SharePoint Central Admin.
    c) When I choose report from reporting service project and I click deploy, it asks Reporting Services Login, but it does not accept admin logins. Server path should be valid.
I got idea from following instruction that I should register and start the Reporting Services SharePoint service
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219068.aspx
    C) I tried to run command Install-SPRSService, but it was not recognized cmdlet command.
    D) I see from Reporting Service Configuration Manager that Reporting Server Mode is Native. Report Service Status is Started.
    Kenny_I

    Hi Kenny_I,
Since the release of SQL Server 2012, Reporting Services SharePoint Integrated mode has been changed from a Windows Service to be a SharePoint Shared Service. In this way, Reporting Services Configuration Manager no longer supports Reporting Services SharePoint
mode, and all the configurations of SharePoint mode is completed using SharePoint Central Administration.
In SSRS 2008 R2 or lower version, only one report server (either native mode or SharePoint integrated mode) can be active at one time in one SSRS instance. In SSRS 2012, the report server that runs in SharePoint integrated mode and the report server that
runs in Native mode work separately at the same time in one SSRS 2012 instance. So, in this issue, you don’t need to care about the report server that runs in native mode when you work with the report server that runs in SharePoint mode.
First, please install SQL Server 2012 SP1 which introduces more BI features.
For the issue you encounter when running the commands to register the Reporting Services SharePoint Service, it may occur if you run the commands in the Windows Powershell instead of the SharePoint Management Shell. Please launch the SharePoint Management
Shell by clicking Start-> All Promgrams -> Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Products -> SharePoint 2013 Management Shell. Then, please continue the steps in the following document or blog to create a Reporting Services Service Application:
Install Reporting Services SharePoint Mode for SharePoint 2013
Installing and configuring SQL Reporting services on SharePoint 2013
After a SSRS Service Application is created properly, to deploy the project to the SharePoint integrated mode report server, please see the project property settings in the following document:

  • "Software Usage Metrics initialize failed" error when open Report Manager, after moving ReportServer from SSRS 2008 to SSRS 2012 (Native Mode)

I've asked this question in SQL Server Upgrade forume, I'm asking here as well:
    Your help is highly appreciated!
After migrating ReportServer db from 2008 to 2012, when access Report Manager throughhttp://myserver:80/Reports, I got the error below:
ui!ReportManager_0-3!11d8!02/04/2013-15:19:12:: e ERROR: Software Usage Metrics initialize failed
    The process is below:
•I successfully installed SQL Server 2012 (64-bit) Enterprise as a Native Mode on a server who runs Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (64-bit).
•I restored "ReportServer2008To2012" and "ReportServer2008To2012TempDB" in SSRS 2012 from the db files backed up in SQL 2008. In SSRS 2008, I have SSRS Model, ad-hoc reports based on model, and I also have canned reports built through BIDS
    report server project.
•I reconfigured both databases' Compatibility level to SQL Server 2012(110) from SQL Server 2008(100).
•I configured SSRS through Reporting Services Configuration Manager as below:
      > I chosen "Use built-in account:" as Service Account
    > In "Database" tab, I selected "Choose an existing report server database" and choose "ReportServer2008To2012" db, I used "Windows Authentication" (my login has the System Administrator priviledge). I got all 4 parts
success: Verifying database sku = Success; Generating rights scripts = Success; Applying connection rights = Success; Setting DSN = Success.
    > I went to "Scale-out Deployment" to check if the initializing succeed, I found nothing there.
Here are what I did from different approaches:
A •I went to "Encryption Keys" and restored the key I backed up from SSRS 2008, after retoring, I got two initialized instances: One is on my current server (SSRS 2012), the other one is from the old server (SSRS 2008).
I deleted the old one(SSRS 2008) through "Remove Server" action and kept the one on my current server(SSRS 2012).
After I restart SSRS service, and tried to connect Report Manager, I got "An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more details."
I checked the log file, the error is actually "ERROR: Software Usage Metrics initialize failed"
B •I also tried to "Delete Encrypted Content" and did see the SSRS was initialized through checking it on "Scale-out Deployment", however when I tried to open Report Manager, I got the same error.
Anyone had the same issue? Any solution? Thanks in advance!

I got all
4 parts success: Verifying database sku = Success; Generating rights scripts = Success; Applying connection rights = Success; Setting DSN = Success.

  • 848P NEO-LS SATA (Native Mode) - Cant Install WinXP

    Okay guys -
I have a 848P Neo-LS which seems to be somewhat rare on this site in the support sections.
Its a brand new board and looks very fancy. I have a lot of experience with PC's as I repair them on a daily basis however this is my first adventure into the land of SATA.
To go with my lovely new MSI motherboard I have purchased a 120GB SATA Hard Disk.
In the BIOS for the motherboard under "Intergrated Peripherals -> On-Chip IDE Configuration" I can choose to operate the On-Chip ATA in either legacy or native mode. According to the manual that came with the board for Windows XP, I should use Native mode (which is exactly what I want as it allows for 6 ATA devices, as opposed to only 4 with legacy mode - im using a mix of SATA and P-ATA devices).
When set to Native mode and booting the Windows XP Pro installation CD, it gets so far then I get a blue-screen warning me about a possible harddisk problem?
But if I set it back to legacy mode and boot the Windows XP Pro installation CD, everything goes through okay and I can choose to begin installing XP if I wish.
However I want to run in Native mode as this will allow me the mix of SATA and P-ATA Harddisks that I want to run. The manual provided with the MSI board also instructs me that this should be possible.
Its not working - what is wrong???? From my knowledge of NT based operating systems im guessing I need to press F6 during the installation CD boot sequence and insert a driver disk for the SATA controller? Although it seems strange that this works in legacy mode - perhaps I have answered my own question here and that isnt the problem?
Or maybe I need a BIOS update, or maybe something entirely different????
Can someone please answer my question as I would love to get using this wonderful new PC.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You don't need to install any SATA drivers for your board. I suspect a compatibility issue with the HDD or on of the other SATA/IDE devices you have connected. I would do the following:
Search the Maxtor site for common issues with your model#
Install XP in legacy mode and then switch to native mode as suggested above. I have switched back and forth between modes with no trouble.
    If you still get problems,
    1. Update to latest BIOS if one is available. Most new Bios'es on the newer boards include fixes to compatibility issues with SATA devices and memory.
    2. Try installing XP with only the HDD and a generic CDROM or CDRW attached. If this works, install the other devices back one at a time and test to rule them out as the culprit.
With a recent Bios and your setup I would set On-Chip Config:
    Native mode
    SATA Only
    Keep PATA active-Yes
    Both channels
    Leave rest at default.
    Hope you get it working.
