Latest PS CC 2104, I have a lower third name title text png file that is about 2/3rds across the bottom screen - I need to fade out the last 1/3 of it...how?

Assuming you want to fade to transparency, use a layer mask and a white-black gradient. Darker luminance values on a layer mask make the image more transparent.
Which when saved as a PNG looks like...

Yahoo is not an ISP.
ISP's are ATT, Comcast, Verizon.
Yahoo email settings should be in the mail app when you set up an account.
Go to settings-mail.
Add account. Select yahoo as account type.

Yes, mission control threw everything across the screen (which is way beyond anything I could figure out), but the real answer I needed came from Apple Tech Support, which I finally called, and I learned about the two arrows in the top righthand corner, when I held the cursor there, which turned blue and resized and released the browser from total domination of the screen. Those two, opposite-pointing arrows allowed me to shrink the browser and let other applications be seen on the desktop. But thank you for extending a helpful tip, which I can use another time.

Firefox does not "close" when closed under Windows 7; Task Manager must be used to "End Process." How do I close Firefox and reopen it without getting a "Still Running" error message?

Even though Firefox has been updated multiple times (currently using Ver. 3.6.13) since I started using Windows 7, I am still unable to totally close it from the toolbar or taskbar. Firefox does closeout on the screen but apparently continues to run in the background. If I open Firefox at a later time, I get an error message stating that Firefox is still running. I then have to go Task Manager to "End Process." Electing to do so allows me to restart Firefox. I never had this problem with Firefox when using Windows XP and I never have this problem with any other software under Windows 7.

How can I take a PNG and increase its opacity?

I have a PNG file with some transparency. I need to paint in some opacity in the alpha channel. How can I achieve this?
In the Channels window, I can access the R, G and B channels just fine, but I need to access the Alpha channel. I need to make my image more opaque in places.
Any ideas?

You could record an action that will make it easier in cs3.
Not the most elegant solution and only works to recover partial trnsparency, but might get you by until your given an upgrade to cs6.
The action below saves the transpency to a new channel, then at the end makes a layer mask from the transparency in the original layer and deletes the saved channel.
Then you paint on the layer mask or delete the layer mask.

How to Take Existing Audio and Match to Session Tempo?

I have an existing piece of an old song, that I would like to hear pop in here and there in a new song I'm doing. The two are not MILES apart in tempo, but the old piece is somewhat faster.
When it does show up in this new song it will only show up for a bar or two.

Try this, excellent results each time……..
In my explanation of tempo curving in Logic I will assume that the audio tempo should change gradually over time without affecting the pitch.
Let's go:
- open your project
then
- open <Global Tracks> and choose Tempo
- insert audio you want to manipulate on to track 1 and activate <Flex>
- Hit Cmd I to open the inspector
- in the Track Parameter Box choose next to Flex Mode -> Polyphonic and also check <Complex> underneath it
- go to <Options>
<Tempo>
choose <Tempo Operations>

- alternatively you can also edit the tempo curves with your mouse.
- You can now BIP this track and do whatever you want with it.
Trying to manipulate two different audio tracks with different tempo curves at the same time, needs a different approach and although possible, is very slow, complicated and therefore inefficient in Logic.

It depends on what you mean by "sync the iPad with the iPhone". Technically, you can't sync the devices like you would sync with a computer anyway, so you can't think that way. You can keep the two devices in sync, but if you want two devices with identical content on them, you have to restore one device from the backup of the other device for starters.
After that, you would have to download the same apps on the one device that you have on the other device, download all of the same songs, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and so on. The you would have have iCloud enabled on both devices in order to keep app data in sync, if the apps work with iCloud. So enable iCloud on bit devices and go to Settings>iCloud and turn on all of the items in there...mail, notes, reminders, Safari, calendar, photo stream, contacts, documents and data, etc.
You would also have to turn on automatic downloads in Settings> iTunes & App Store>Automatic Downloads> on for songs, apps and books so that whatever you download on one device downloads to the other device.
If you have any apps that do not work with iCloud for the purposes of syncing app data, it will be impossible to keep the two devices identical total in content.
