Using Lightroom Web sites within existing site

Is there a way to put an html or flash created in lightroom within an existing web page so it appears to be part of the site instead of an outside page?

The question raised here is a very common question as soon as you want to fully integrate one or multiples LR galleries into a wide website. I'm currently facing exactly this problem.
At the moment, the solution I foresee is by using HTML FRAME. This is a very simple solution which seems not to be the top of the art for the technical point of view, but at least, it is easy to setup and for the moment, I didn't encountered any issues.
One problem, as far I understood, is that it is not possible to use one CSS for your website. Each FRAME has it's own characteristics. In other words, that means the organization of your website is defined by two differents technical mechanisms : CSS and HTML FRAME.
I'm not quite sure what is the most appropriate approach, using FRAME or iFrame. It would be great if anyone of you could show us a real example.

I use a web site called ACRIS- up until yesterday I could access all parts of the site, including calling up images of deeds. Now I can no longer get the images via firefox, but can them via windows explorer. Why? How do I fix this?

Then without any apparent reason I could access all parts of the site, but could not access the deed images. First I thought it was a problem on their end, which sometimes happens, but after waiting 24 hours I was still having the problem. Then I tried windows explorer and it worked without any problem. How do I fix this?

First question I would ask is what has changed recently? Did you add any new extensions or add-ons?
I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. I've created a website in dreamweaver and currently have

is having to back click through lighroom to get to your home page.
Being new to the web design program is there a way to embed the
sites into dreamweaver so that you have the ability to set up a
home button on each of the LR sites? I'm guessing not, but just

I would turn on the "show java console" and the "log output" options in the java console. You should then be able to see the reason the application will not start.

WcmUrl - Use default Web site section metadata

We are generating links using links wizard and using "Use default Web site section metadata" option.
We are expecting hyperlinked content file displays in the Web site section as currently specified in the Web Site
Section metadata field for the content file.
Link wizard is generating following link.

From the primary page of section 1 and doing mouse over on a secondary page link of section 2. It is generating URL with section 2.

When using a web site that opens a window within a window, Firefox doesn't perform this task as it normally would, but Internet Explorer still performs it as it should. Does anyone know what the problem is?

You could use the Contact field to point back to your home page, and have a contact point there rather than all over the LR galleries. Also, if you use the Identity plate I believe you could put in a link to your home page. There's also LR galleries at http://theturninggate.net and other sites, and likely other solutions that hopefully others will offer.

Distribution Point IIS Config - Multiple applications using Default Web Site

I've having some problems with a distribution point, when trying to download content I'm getting the following error in the datatransferservices.log:
Error sending DAV request. HTTP code 500, status 'Internal Server Error'
Looking at IIS, I can see that another application (uniflow print server) has published folders under the Default Web Site.
Reading
similar errors it appears it may be to do with ISAPI filters being configured by the other application. Unfortunately these filters are required by the Uniflow application. So, my question is:
Is there any way to change the web site used by the distribution point?

Not on a one off basis, no. The web sites are tied to ports which means you would also have to change the port. Both are global changes. The better solution is to not multi-purpose a DP.

Question regarding using Lightroom Web Module and Zenfolio

I use LR3 and like the galleries I can make in the Web Module. If I use Zenfolio as a web hosting service, can I upload or export my photos from LR to Zenfolio and use the galleries I create in the Lightroom Web Module,,,or do I need to use the existing gallery templates in Zenfolio? If that is the case, other than using Lightroom to upload photos, is it's Web Gallery Module superflous?

If you are asking if you need to use LR's Web Module to export images to Zenfolio, then no you would not use the LR Web Module but rather use a plug-in to export directly to Zenfolio. Or you can just export to your local HDD and use Zenfolio's upload module to grab the files from your local drive.
Jeffery Friedl has a nice LR plug-in for SmugMug so I am sure his Zenfolio plug-in will work nicely as well:

It's free, sort of, after the trial period, like 45-days as I recall, there is a limit on the number of files which can be uploaded. When the trial expires if ya like it you just donate any amount and get to upload any number of files as Zenfolio allows in a session.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these:
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Unable to Create Website using "Create Web Site" action component in Release Management

Hi Team,
I am trying to use Release Management to Deploy my Website along with DB in staging servers.
I have set-up 2 Staging Servers SIT & UAT Both 2012 Servers with IIS 8.5 Configured.
Defined Release Path and Release template.
Deployment Sequence is something like this :
Deployment Sequence - Server Name - Create Folder - XCopy - Create Website - Configure Website
Build is successful, drops the output to Output folder and RM gets initiated with it's work.
It creates folders as mentioned in the "Create Folder" activity.
It copies the whole content from _PublishedWebsites to the mentioned location.
It gets stuck with the "Create Website" step.
Initially I have provided details as follows :
AppPoolName
IsPreloadEnabled
IsAutoStart
SiteName FabrikamSIT
PortNumber 80
PhysicalPath c:\FabrikamRM\WebSite\SIT
Later, I tried providing
AppPoolName DefaultAppPool
IsPreloadEnabled 1
IsAutoStart 1
SiteName FabrikamSIT
PortNumber 80
PhysicalPath c:\FabrikamRM\WebSite\SIT
Then also no luck.
Deployment gets rejected and the error that you can see when you hover the mouse is :
Task failed with the exit code -2146232576".
No much info available with this eror code in net also.
Any help in getting this simple site created is highly appreciated.

For the deployment sequence, you might need add the action of "create application pool" before creating a website.
Another method is check whether the build output can be deployed manually. If yes, then you can trobleshoot the problem in your deployment sequence and parameters. You can create the website manually and deploy your build output to the website. If you have
any other concerns about the deployment, you can also open a new thread in IIS forum for a better response.
If the issue persists, please elaborate more details about your scenario with sceenshots.

Try clearing Safari, then close the app and finally reboot your iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Safari app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.

If you are using Internet Explorer to download the file, you can right-click on the '''Firefox Setup 3.6.8.exe''' link and choose "Save Target As"
That link is for the English-US version of Firefox 3.6.8, if you need another language, select the Parent Directory link and then choose the folder for your language.
You should also check that the internet cafe allows downloading of executable files. It is also possible that the internet cafe has security software that is corrupting the download.

Using Lightroom web galleries with iWEB

Adobe Lightroom has a very nice gallery template that can be used to create a gallery page. It outputs the page to a folder with the associated files, includingindex.html.
I would like to use this approach for presenting the galleries rather than the photo pages in the iWEB template I am using.
I have searched here, the Adobe forums as well as some dedicated to photography.
A solution escapes me.
I have no interest in learning HTML or other website programming skills.
I am looking for a cut and paste solution.

Ok now I'm assuming you have a .mac account like you said. When you click on the icon of the idisk in your finder, close finder and open idisk from your desktop. Then go through the hierarchy as I said, and drop your folder in the final iWeb folder. The page has to generate at that point. Then do what I told you to do i.e. http..........to see the page. Once you get the established address of the page, copy it. Then go to your iweb doc and establish a page where you would have text and maybe an image to link to your new gallery. Go into your inspector click on make hyperlink active and and enable as a hyperlink when you either highlight your text you want or the image that's going to link to your gallery. This is going to be an external page you want to link to so put that in. Then paste your new gallery page address into the area to let it know. Let it know you want to open page in a new window...check that, and that should be it. But you must delete the apple address in the external page info thats already their. Also, what version of iweb do you have? I have '08. My external pages were with either iphoto or a photoshop web gallery.

Oracle's web site is one of the most frustrating I have ever used

There are two major issues with oracles main web site: lack of consistency and lack of information.
I would challenge anyone to draw any sort of coherent information architecture map of the oracle property. It would be a dogs breakfast because there is no consistency in how the site is laid out. Consequently a new user has no idea where to go to get the information you want. Sometimes you are directed to downloads from landing pages and other times its more product information. But it's rarely what you expect.
Secondly, take for example the download a the BPEL Process Manager for JBoss. I can't even find that page now where I downloaded it from... But, nowhere in the download page, and nowhere in the 100+MB download is there any explanation of what JBoss versions are supported. Just unbelievable.
If I did not have to use the web site, I would never go near it!

Actually, I find there is an amazing amount of consistency. I believe that Oracle's technology web face is organized as a set of portals. Let me walk you through an example:
Start at Oracle's main tech page, Oracle Technet at http://otn.oracle.com . That page, and virtually all those below, are organized as follows:
Top banner - log in, search (not particularily good),
Top shortcuts - quick links to First glance, Download, Documentation, Forums, Samples and Tutorial portals
Left nav bar - Product, Technology (overlapping product or OSS), Architecture, Community portals by category
Right Nav bar - Portal specific navigation to docs, demos, downloads, tutorials, etc.
Center - the actual content of this portal
So, if I'm looking for BPM for JBoss, knowing that's a middeware product, I'd go to the Left Nav bar, Products: Middleware to get to the Middleware portal.
That portal has the same general layout as above, so I concentrate on the center section. Just below the enormous (and confusing) picture, I notice the Fusion Middleware Family links which includes BPEL Process Manager. Click to get to that portal, and
That portal has the same general layout as above. This one's an end portal as it's got references to documentation, downloads, and white papers. It's may have the information I'm looking for. In fact, it's got the link to the download page you want.
On that download page, I note, close to the bottom is an older download of BPM for JBoss, and it specifies "Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2.0.2 for JBOSS (v3.2.6) ". That is the older one, so I assume the newer download is either for that version or a newer version.
Aside from that, some of Oracle's better kept secrets are their Certification Matrices. In general, you could check http://www.oracle.com/technology/support/metalink/index.html and for App Server matrix, look at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/oracle_soa_certification_101310.html
