Hello there,I have SoundBlaster Li've! 24Bit with Inspire T7900 7. Speaker System. I upgraded to Windows Vista 32Bit, used the latest Creative Driver (Feb 2007)?and now I have sound and speakers test is working....but not in music playback and stuff... I was confused reading all the threads here, I know everybody has this problem... but is there a BETA driver or a way to make my 7. works again?cause reading the threads about the previous drivers confused me more!?thanx for help!

I was the same way. Of course my setup is not 7. but 5.also my speakers are not using a digital connection...and when i went into media centre i had zero sound and same with music playback till i went into the control panel/sound window and selected digital connection...which again i am not using but this seemed to fix everything sound wise... maybe they got it backwards..who knows. but i'm trying to find out if you can get the cmss or eax stuff back. this having no treble or bass or equalizer or anyhting but plain ole sound..well.. sucks. I mean I might as well be using my onboard motherboard sound..

Using Live 5 with the new Macbook

Sorry, I didn't see a section for Ableton's Live software. But maybe you guys will have some insight.
I record music. Mainly guitar tracks with drum and base loops. Very simple stuff.
My old laptop was an older Powerbook G4 that my employer bought me for work purposes but I also use it to support my recording hobby. I used a program called Live 5 to put my music together. This worked well for me I never had any problems and the computer could handle quite a large CPU load.
My employer decided to upgrade my computer a few weeks ago. So now I have a MacBook 2.2 GHz Intel Core Duo with 2 gigs of ram (more than enough)
Everything about this computer appears to be superior to my older powerbook G4, except for one thing. The CPU's are through the roof when I'm trying to arrange and record music within Live 5. It is such a problem that I can't even turn on one single drum loop without the CPUs Blasting off to 50%. This causes a really nasty sound issue. It's like Snap, Crackle and Pop got into my computer!
Why am I having this problem? Is there an issue with the Macbook's hardware that I should know about? These are supposed to be the ultimate media creation devices, a simple drum loop should not be enough to fry the processor.
I am wondering if I need the latest version of Live. They have it up to Live 7 now. I'm thinking it may be an issue with the old software not meshing with the new processor. Unfortuneatly its a $150 upgrade for me and I need to know if it will solve the issue before I buy it. Or do I just have the wrong computer.

That's because this is an Apple forum, not an Ableton one.
You have a PPC version of Live. The first Universal Binary version of Live was 5.2 - this contains Intel code for your Macbook.
You are currently running the PPC version under emulation (ie sloooow).
You need to upgrade Live to *at least* 5.2 to use Live natively on an Intel Mac.

Tektronix AFG 3022: How to use both channel with VISA

Hi all!
I am trying to control the AFG with LabView using the NI VISA driver. There are several given VIs I can use, but I don´t know how to use both channels at the same time correctly. I attached a VI I made.
Problems are:
-Sometimes it works, sometimes random errors occur.
-The waveform generation doesn´t start at the same time.
-To stop the waveform generation I used the "initialize VI" because I found no better one. Else the generation goes on and on, even though the task was terminated in LabView.
-How can I trigger the AFG with my NI 6259 in LabView?
I hope someone has some good ideas helping me out...

thanks for the replay. You helped me out very good! I had the Visa driver. I downloaded the driver in your link and it´s way better (more functionality) than the one I used. I now have a configuration, which is working. But there are two things I still doen´t know:
- How can I put out a trigger signal on the NI 6259. Am I doing this over the normal daqmx VIs? (I, by now, didn´t have the time to try it myself, maybe someone can give me a hint. Saves time...)
- I want to create two signals on the AFG that are the same, but one is inverted. At the AFG it is no problem (output menu-> invert on/off). This function doesn´t seem to be available in the driver. Is there a possibilty to modify the driver and create a VI with that functionality? Can anyone do this for me or explain to me what I need to do it myself and how to do it?

Using Live View with PHP

Hi, I'm working locally on a Wordpress site via Dreamweaver in Live View. I can't save a background image in my CSS. It says no link can be found. I'm using MAMP.

MHDDK with Visa: event when DMA transfer complete?

We are using devices like PXIe-6363, PCIe-6321 depending on requirements and these are dealt with using the MHDDK with Visa backend on Windows (I hope that is the correct terminology).
All I/O, both analog and digital simultaneously, is done using DMA transfers using the standard MHDDK classes for doing so. This all works without problems.
One last improvement is I'd like to be notified using a callback/event system when a new block of data is ready: currently I'm just polling the input DMA's available number of bytes in a continuous loop with no sleep() in order to be able to process data as soon as it's ready. Works, but keeps one cpu busy the whole time.
I didn't see any way to use callbacks using the MHDDK which makes sense since it's purely based on register I/O if I understand it correctly.
However I noticed Visa has viInstallHandler, viEnableEvent and the likes. I went through some documentation on the event types but admit this is over my head and I have no idea where to start.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
First question is if what I'm asking for is possible? Second I think I just have to call viInstallHandler for the correct event type, then figure out if the event is for an input DMA transfer from PXI? Using viGetAttribute somehow?

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.

Due to the kind of plug used the US power cord is rated at the 125v value.. and legally we cannot advise you to use on higher voltages.. although I have never had issues in Australia.. 240v.
But adapters from your Euro power plug to US are generally ugly .. unsightly things.. and often sit high above the socket and are none too stable.. I agree with Bob.. just go out and buy a standard figure 8 power cord.. check with Apple in Italy for a white one.. if you are going to have it on show.. black are far more common. Or even check ebay for a standard power Apple power cord as a number of items they sell use the figure8 socket.

Well, in his defense, his parents bought him the player so I guess we can't blame him. Though the 6 GB versions were available in November so I guess they really did get 'nervous' about Christmas and like to get their shopping done early! Kudo's to you for trying to remain with the Creative line but for what you're looking for it's obviously not the player for you. Creative seems to be fine-tuning their line for the audio crowd. I'm into mp3 players for the audio. Sure, the ability to watch video's and look at pictures on a decent screen is a plus but for me at least, it's all about the music. And with music, 6 GB is more than enough. Heck, 8 GB would have been more than enough for me. I'm a subscriber to Napster-to-go, so I don't feel the need to carry 00 plus GB of stuff on my portable player. I honestly don't understand the desire to watch movies or TV shows on tiny little screens. But you're also talking to a guy who doesn't watch television. What a complete waste of time and brain cells. Probably the **competitor products we can't discuss here** or one of those players would better suit your needs. Companies are definately picking their niche markets carefully and Creative's decision to not offer hard dri've players any more seems to definately be saying bye-bye to that market. I can't say I blame them. Hard dri'ves eventually give up the ghost and are quite delicate for people on the go. Good ridance, I say. Let Apple, Zune and all the others cater to the Z generation's need to be spoonfed their video/TV addictions anywhere and everywhere. I'll pass. It's one thing to be able to enjoy some music on the go and enhance an otherwise dull work day or dri've. But movies/TV shows at work, school, or wherever? Please. Cut the cord! Just my $.02 - YMMV! We have the correct CVV2, Expiration Date and Billing address, but you keeps declining us. Please fix this problem for me. The issuing bank for this card is Techcombank, one of the largest banks in Vietnam. According to the bank, the transaction is processed in the US. This is a legitimate Visa card.
Please let me know as soon as possible. Apple does a disservice to its brand name by declining legitimate Visa account holders from using the cards in Vietnam.

Just as a warning, your credit card number has been sent in the clear to probably thousands of people, including anyone who subscribes to e-mail alerts to this forum. That's very, very bad. The credit card should be considered compromised at this point, and you should cancel it immediately, if you haven't done so already.
