Using LP8 and training on LP9

Hi there,
Non technical question, but essential non the less.
I just got LP8 on my macbook pro and am about to book a training course on LP9. Is it alright or shall I look to find a LP8 specific training.

However, i've been burned so many times by shabby developers (apple included) releasing software that isn't fully operational until at least 4 months after the relase date and not being able to work on projects due to crashes.

Can't answer your question directly, but I bought the full version of Logic 7 and later upgraded to 8. I am able to run both versions, which is essential for me as 7 can open my ancient Logic 2.5 files, but 8 can't!
So it should be the same for Logic 9... hopefully!

Thanks for replying and apologies for my tardiness in responding. I have just completed a re-creation of my web page using CSS/HTML rather than XML/XSLT and now I find that when saving in MHT format the watermark/background image is saved, which is nice, but trying to save it as 'webpage complete' under 'save as' in the browser still does not work. (For those who are new to Firefox, MHT files are not supported by the browser, but using the FF extention UnMHT one can open such files and save web documents as MHT files, meaning no accompanying folder is required to properly view the file.)

Sorry to say you are out of luck.
The serial numbers came on the cd case. If they are no longer there, you have no way of using the program except as a 30 day trial. Adobe does not sell CS5 licenses any more.

Start and stop acquisition using a pulse train

Hi
As illustrated in the attached picture I would like to use a pulse train ( connected to PFI line) as a triggering devide to start and stop acquisition on rising edge
Could you please help me to do it in LabVIEW. My problem is I have to use the same line to start and stop ( trigger and reference trigger ) and both should use rising edge

Captivate 5.5 Template -- Settings for Demo and Training modes

Hi
I am trying to create a Captivate 5.5 template for our simulations which will be captured in both Demonstration and Training modes.
In the template file, I go to Edit > Preferences > Modes, select the both the modes (from the drop-down list) and make required settings, and save the template.
Now, when I try to record a new project based on this template, I am asked to select any one of the modes. As a result, I get only one type of output. How to get both modes in one go? Is there a workaround?

You'll need to add your simulation capture slides to the template AFTER capturing the two outputs. The template can only really be used as a shell to add introduction and conclusions, as well as quizzing etc.
Since (as Lieve points out) you end up with separate files for each different output, you'll also need to use the templates to create a shell project for each different output, and then paste the slides from the captures into the shell as it were.
Quite frankly, you're better off doing things this way anyway (capturing first and then pasting the capture slides into another shell project) because in any capture project you need to do quite a bit of editing and culling of duplicates or redundant captures. It's quicker and easier to do this editing when the project file is smaller. So what I do is clean up my captures first to get down to the minimum number of slides required for the simulation, and then paste those slides into my project file generated from the template. I do the copy/paste after culling out the unnecessary slides, but before saving the capture file. That way, I always have all of the original captures as a backup in case I went too far in the culling. Only after the project has been finalised to I go back and delete the original captures.

The DJI cameras were first supported in ACR 8.3 and more support added in ACR 8.4:
Lens profile support | Lightroom 5, 4, 3 | Photoshop CS6, CS5 | Camera Raw 8, 7, 6
You will need PS-CS6 or PS-CC or PSE12 with current updates on OSX 10.7.x or Windows 7+ to use this version of ACR.
However, even if you have an older version of PS or older OS, if you can install the Adobe DNG Converter, you can copy these lens profiles to the User's lens profile folder and they might be seen. I can give more specific instructions about doing this if you are unable to update PS's ACR to 8.3/8.4.

In order to display custom training PDF, an alternative approach could be to make use of workbench channel "Links". You can store the custom PDF on intranet and display the link under links channel.

Profile Match up and Training Event details without LSO.

hello,
We have requirement where we want to show Profile Match up and Training Event details in MSS.But we are not going to use LSO.
so now que is without LSO there ivew will work or not. Now this iview are present in MSS folder.Is this iview are using LSO function module because of that they might not work?

To make it more clear.... sorry for not explaining this initially.
1. There is a service in ESS(ITS) for profile match up.
2. For mss siddharth is asking from where does the data come in case of pv7i and 8i
So the answer for MSS is that if you need to use profile match up without LSO then you make use of the ITS based profile matchup service to identify how you will carry out a development.
I am not aware of any existing transaction for profie in MSS so you need to develop but the answer to your question is
"you can certainly use TEM (without LSO) to create profile match up in MSS".
This has been done for most of the customers by SAP as not everyone uses LSO.
Function RHPP_SHOW_PROFILE_MATCHUP will help you achieve this very easily without LSO.

Editing Demo, Simulation and Training simultaneously

Hi all,
is there anyway to change the demo, simulations and training captivates simultaneously?
At the moment, I am working on a project where the starting point is the Demo file. I am making changes to the Demo and then have to go into Simulation and training files individually to make these changes which is really duplicating work..
I would really appreciate if someone can point me to the right direction.

I am using Captivate 5. I have captured a project and made changes to the Demo file ie reworded captions and deleted some slides. I was hoping if there was any way simulation and training files can update depending on what I do on Demo.

Difference between Learning Solution and Training in ESS

Hi,
I would like to know the functionality difference between Learning Solution and Training when will be using through ESS.
I have found that Training is part of SAP's old version and java based application not available on ESS for Training. In Learning solution, we are getting java based application for all the activity. Functions like, Training Activities, Qualification Profile, Profile Match-up, Settings are available on Learning Solution but the same are not available on Training. Even Pre-booking is not available on ESS through Training.
I would like get feedback from forum. Please who have experience on the same, do guide me. I would like to suggest the client for the same.

Need help to understand the devices and technology which will provide internet connection in buses and train, i am aware of 3G & LTE, but this connection will be used for RFID and M2M connectivity.

There's a lot of factors why this technology has a very slow uptake:
1. Cost - How much to implement;
2. Fees and Charges - If it's for customer use, how much?
3. Coverage
The main issue is the "uplink". You could get away with LTE as long as there's more-than-adequate coverage where the bus/train goes to. Some cities use the railway station as a wi-fi hotspot (like London) but once you leave the station it goes. It makes sense anyway because of the roaming issue by some clients.
Unless your city's LTE is poor, you wouldn't want to put wifi in trains and bus because a majority of the commuters would probably their phone/tablet "quota" to do surfing.

While trying to grap the concept of prompted filters in sap bo web intelligence, I had a question whether why we cannot use NULL and NOT NULL while creating a prompted filters in our report.

'Is Null' and 'Not Null' are the predefined functions in webi which only eliminate the null values or considering only null values.
'Is Null' and 'Not Null' are itself predefined functions that why you are not getting prompts.
Null values are standard across the databases so this is defined as a function in webi to specific eliminate the null values.
If something is not standard then there is option in the webi to use different operator with static values or with prompts.
