Using mail for mailing lists???

As Mail has a limitation of sending a single message to a maximum of 100 recipients, what program would you recommend for larger mailing lists please?

Better to use G-Mail for mail when roaming??

Hi - if i go abroad (from the UK) with the iPhone - given the charges per megabyte of data - am I better off having emails from my normal ISP mail accounts forwarded to Gmail (or similar) and then use Safari to go to Gmail to check my emails (rather than accessing my 'regular' Mail accounts on the phone) - i am guessing this method means you are downloading a lot less (in my case I receive LOADS of spam i would rather not be paying to download into my iPhone mailbox)

I don't know where you live or what you're talking about being sent from one address to another. Your iMac has a 90 day warranty with tech support and service, if needed. Apple has toll-free phone numbers in the US. You call that number, get to speak to a tech, give that person your computer's serial number and describe the problem. I suspect that there are similar arrangements in other parts of the world. That is "direct contact" with Apple. Have you tried to do that where you live? Wny are you trying to communicate in writing (by e-mail?)? In addition, if you don't have Apple Care you should immediately purchase it if you're still eligible. It'll extend your warranty to 3 full years.

In outlook try these settings :
1.From the Oulook Tools menu, select Options (if you don't see the Options menu item, you may ahve to expand the menu window with that little double arrow that points downward).
2. In the next screen for Options, click on the Email Options button
3.In the next screen Email Options, click on the Tracking Options button.
4. In the Tracking Options screen, you have a checkmark for Delivery receipt. Click this and all your emails you send out will give you an alert when your email server delivers them.
Moreover check in SOST, the traffic signal should be green indicating the mail was send successfully to outlook.

Send one mail for multiple list item update

i have 3 lists storing customer details which are displayed in a page. i need to send mail whenever there is customer details update(any or all 3 lists). should send only one mail per customer details update(not per list item update).Please advise how to
achieve this using SharePoint workflow.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to send an email when this are list items update.
A workaround is that we can use one big list to store the customer details from these three lists, then let users update their information in the big list and send email.
Or we can create a form to update these 3 lists, then send a mail when the form saved.

Using hotmail for mail

i have been trying to use my hotmail for my mail account. i have downloaded the program but still having problems. when i try to send an email i get a message that says "cannot send message using the server services.msn.com". i have tried to change this but it still reverts back to it. any help would be appreciated.

I think you need a Hotmail plug-in for it to work with Mail, try do a search in VersionTracker

i am usning Preview on my MacBook Air, when ever i try to mail a documenet or a pdf in outlook, te Mail stamp jumps up which i do not use. My primary and only email sysmtem that i want to use is Outlook. can anyone suggest how to find where i can place the needied setting?

Using smtp for mail

3) When I try to forward something by mail, it does not recognize my SMTP account or password. How can I get that fixed?

I've had this occasionally occur and deleting the account in Mail>Preferences>Accounts and then re-creating the account solved it for me.
The awkward account was an IMAP account so on deletion all my emails disappeared but reappeared once the account was recreated. I still made sure I had backup just in case.
If the account is POP, don't do this until someone else offers advice. I believe that deleting a POP account will delete all the emails and they WON'T reappear when the account is recreated.

I can't use Markup for Mail in Yosemite and I can't see the extension of it.

I tried to use the Markup feature and I can't, also I tried to enable the extension of it but it doesn't appear.

Why are security headers not visible when viewing "sent" mail for mail sent with S/MIME certificates?

I am using an S/MIME certificate to sign my emails using Mail on Mountain Lion 10.8.2. I have a trusted S/MIME certificate for each of my email accounts. The certs and private keys are properly installed in the keychain. I am able to successfully send signed (and optionality encrypted) email and the recipients are all all receiving the emails showing a trusted signed email without having to acknowledge or trust the signature. So technically the certificates are working. Obviously the encryption option is only offered when I also have the recipients certficate in my keychain.
What I am noticing is that when I look in my sent items - (regardless of which email I used as the "sender") - I don't see any indication in the mail headers that the mail was sent with a signed certificate - even though I know the recipient is seeing that the mail is signed with a cert. I have no way of telling whether I sent the mail as "signed" or "unsiged". The default is to use the certificate for all outbound emails - unless I specifically uncheck the secure signing option before sending. In mail that I recieve - sent from others with certs or sent from one of my email accounts to the other - I see the the certificate indication in the email header.
On rare occasion - I do see the certificate when viewing sent mail - but only for random sent mails - and so far I believe I have only seen the certificate show up in mail that is sent from my iCloud account. I can send subsequent mail from iCloud - and still not see the certificate in the sent items.
Why am I not seeing the Security Header showing the certificate when viewing mail that I have sent in my sent items folder? Is there some setting that I am not seeing that controls this - or is this a bug in Mac Mail? Also why does the security header show up for just a handful of sent emails - when hundreds of signed emails have been successfully sent.
Any help would be appreciated. The behavior is the same on my other Macs - at least the ones on which the certificates are also installed.
Also - I don't have my certs installed on my iPhone yet - so I can't tell on the iPhone if the certs are showing up in the sent folder - but I can see the certs on mail that I send to myself from the Mac but receive on the iPhone.

I stopped using the S/MIME certs and stopped signing my emails. Too many recipients were receiving them as "attachements" especially if the recipients email account was on an Exchange server. My certs have since expired and I have not done anything to further analyze the situation. My original post was over a year ago and I have long since been on Mavericks.

You say you are seeing the exact same issue - yet you are also saying you can look at the sent mails from os x and ios - does this mean that you see the security badges on the sent emails in both os x and ios? I assume you are on Mavericks?

BC Mail vs Mail Hosted on Bluehost?

I have a client who wants to keep his email hosted on Bluehost ( they are moving from a wordpress site to BC). I'm against this plan because Bluehost is a shared and reseller hosting, which means there are other people using your mail server. This means that one spammer can get everyone on that IP address blocked by a blacklist. Does anyone know how the BC mail servers deal with spammers? I would like to assure the client that if he moves his email to BC, he won't have to worry about being blacklisted by someone else's bad behavior. Also, they are using Outlook for mail, I am assuming I can either make a copy of the .PST files and reinstall the data files on outlook when we set up the new email accounts? They don't want to lose the old email. Or I could upload his old mail at the server level to the BC server? Advice Please!

Hi there, unless you pay big bucks most mail systems are on the same servers. Methods, managability and derlirablilty are means to avoid one person harming things for all. This is common practise as all systems are a form of shared system or cloud system - how else do you think they work? You can get dedicated servers for a project but you will pay for that.
BC email is 3rd party and they manage and handle it the same as any other decent mail service and you can choose to use who ever you do. Personally, from history BC email is not that stable compared to dedicated email providers. Those providers can offer 24/7 suppport being dedicated as well.

I'm not sure if the code you display is 'Exactly' how it is written.
If it is:
1) The class needs to be public (i.e. public class ArrayL {.....})
2) In the code below, the value of searchexp is a string
           var searchexp = $("continent").value;
          ArrayL.getNumbers(searchexp, displayItems); but the function
public int[] getNumbers(boolean big) takes a boolean.
3) In the call DWRUtil.addOptions("country", data); 'data' isn't defined did you mean 'items'?
Finally in the statement that you have if (items.length == 0) I have found that does not work with Collections (at least Maps) returned from a method to DWR (as of 1.1.3).

One workflow for two list

Hello:
Is there a possibility to have one workflow and use it for two list. For example, I have a workflow1 for list A and the document A has been approved, in list 2 Can I use workflow 1 ? If I can use the workflow1, then if I upload a document A, will I see the
status as 'Approved' ?
What I am looking for is that once the document is approved via certain workflow and if user upload this document on their MySite document library then they should know by uploading the document if it has been already approved or not somewhere else.

I am not sure if the Metadata associated with the file in List 1 will be carried over to list 2 if the user is going to upload the same file to list 2. Incase of InfoPath forms this is possible by creating a column in the form.
@Udaya - Even if Visual studio is used to create workflows and attach it to many list, every user will have his or her own mysite, so how will we know on whose mysite the workflow should be associated?
Let me check on this further.
