Using mass processing - transaction wtymp_a

Hi all,
I am trying to use the mass processing tool of WTY and I have some problems
I have created an action, when operating the action from transaction WTY it works fine but with the mass processing tool the action produce a dump and errors.
While debuging both transactions i have found that the action is called from different programs and there different checks made by sap on the data.
does any one have any idea?
BR,
Naama.

Hi Naama,
true, the call points are different. The main difference is that you have the UI available in transaction WTY. While processing in WTYMP you do not have the UI. Thus you need to make sure that you do not send any popups (can be i-messages, too) during mass processing.
Additionally it might be that your action does not correctly select the version it needs to work with.
Best regards
Christian

  • Mass processing transaction for PP order

    Hi,
Is there a way to REVOKE the DLFL status in a number of PP orders at a time and then set CLSD status.
I tried using COHV but it doenst seem to be having that feature.
    Please suggest immediately.
    Rg,
    Vipul

    Hi Ravi,
You are absolutely right. Siva didnt see my reply at 10:53 hrs before in which I mentionedd the same problem as you have now conveyed.
I just request people to check the replies and go to the depth of the problem rather that giving repeated solutions. My remarks were not to finger any one here Siva. We all know we are busy and need help from each other in a proper way.
We are not testing each other knowledge here personally I guess.
Right, back to my query Ravi thanks for pointing..now can you throw some light as per how to REVOKE and DLFL using any MASS transaction.
As far as I think COHV or any other transaction cannot be used to REVOKE any other status.

  • Printing Adobe PDF using mass/batch processing

I've got Purchase Order, Contracts and RFQ forms created using Adobe PDF print forms. Currently, immediate processing is used to print/email/fax the forms (that means that after a PO/Contract/RFQ is created, it is immediately printed/emailed/faxed). An enhancement I'm working on is to allow for mass/batch processing so that the forms will be printed/emailed/faxed at a set time each day. The issue I'm facing is that using mass processing, the PDFs become corrupted (for example, the first PDF form is sent ok but subsequent forms become corrupted or become a duplicate of the first one). When customers receive the corrupted PDF, they get the error that the form cannot be opened.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to accomplish batch/mass processing using Adobe PDF forms? Right now, the immediate processing path is working fine since the there is low volume. However, the goal is to switch to mass processing once volume increases.

I copied and made modifications to the SAP standard print program SAPFM06P and called it ZSAPFM06P. I also made copies of the include files. So for immediate output processing, each time a Purchase Order PDF is created it calls the print program ZSAPFM06P. This process works great no matter how many PDFs are created from POs.
The issue is with BATCH/MASS PROCESSING. Here is the scenario:
    - Purchase requisitions are created anytime during the day.
    - Every 15 mins., the purchase reqs are batched together and an automatic process starts that converts them to purchase orders.
    - Creating each PO calls the print program ZSAPFM06P and depending on the communication strategy, the POs are either printed, emailed or faxed to the customer.
The problem seems to be that when multiple POs are created, some get corrupted and some become duplicate of other POs. However, using immediate processing, this is never the case no matter how many POs are created.
I checked the program and the internal tables and variables used in the code do get cleared/reset each time a PO is created so I don't see how using immediate processing works while batch processing doesn't even though they both call the same program.
I hope this makes it clear a little bit.

    Mass Processing of Production Orders
    Use
Mass processing enables you to carry out functions for multiple orders.
    Features
    Functions
The following lists contain the mass processing functions that are available:
    Order headers
    Material availability check
    Release
    Printing of shop floor papers
    Costing
    Scheduling
    Generate capacity requirements
    WM material staging
    Picking
    Set/delete user status
    Confirmation
    Technically complete
    Close
    Log display
    Operations
    Release
    Print shop floor papers
    Picking
    Set/delete user status
    Confirmation
    Log display
    Components
    Print shop floor papers
    Picking
    Log display
    Production resources and tools

    Log display
    Starting Mass Processing
Mass processing can be started in the following ways:
Triggering the execution of a function
The execution of a function can be triggered as follows:
    Execute function immediately
The functions are executed directly after mass processing has been triggered. This can take a long time for functions that require a lot of system resources. However, you can immediately check whether the function was successfully executed.
    Execute function with dialog transaction
Further processing is controlled by a dialog that is specific to the function. This option is available for the following functions: Confirmation, Picking, Log display.
Create a function request (refer to Processing Requests)
First, requests are created without any further checks. The requests are created very quickly. Mass processing is actually executed with the program COWORKDISPATCH. As a result, it is delayed until the next time the program starts. You can decouple the function in terms of time, so that the main work takes place at night, for example. The end users create requests and system administration takes care of their execution.
    Execute function in the background
First, requests are created without any further checks. Then a background process is started, which processes these requests immediately. Scheduling a background job does not create any administrative work and reduces the workload for the dialog.
    Parallel Processing
For parallel processing, you define server groups for mass processing (COWORK-DIALOG, COWORK-BATCH). This enables you to speed up the execution of processing.
Mass processing online/ in the background.
You can either execute mass processing online or you can schedule it in a background job (no online steps are possible).
Application Toolbar with Mass Processing Functions
You can define that an application toolbar, with selected mass processing functions, is displayed in the list of the selected objects. You can use this application toolbar to execute the functions in the dialog.
For more information refer to Display Application Toolbar with Mass Processing Functions.
    Test Run
You can decide whether changes caused by a mass processing function are executed in the form of a test run only. Error messages that may occur are collected. No changes are updated to the database.
You can use the test run for these functions:
    Close
    Set/delete user status
    Release
    Costing
    Generate capacity requirements
    Technically complete
    Scheduling
    WM material staging
To test a function, select the option Test function without changes to data on the Mass processing tab page.
    Log
Log records are written and saved as a function is being executed. They provide information about the execution of a mass processing function. If no log record exists, the function was executed without any problems. The log records are assigned to the order or the collective order

  • Internal Order on Service Process Transaction

    Hi All,
I have complex problem for which i need your guidence. Our Client wants is the internal order(r/3 side) for the service order created on the CRM using service process transaction. He has asked us to create a view using eewb trans having internal order field(aufnr). Now the problem  is how to get the internal order which is created at the r/3(automatically) side on the crm side.
Any input would be of great help.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

    Hi Madhu,
It is possible to create the return order as a follow up of the service confirmation.
All u need to do is to maintain the copy control settings.
I think it is better to copy the header level and not the items. Since ur service confirmation will have the items which are used and not the replaced items.
The replace item can be entered directly in the return order.
    Wish the information is useful.

    Hi,
Iu2019m trying to configure a SAP transaction iView with some given parameters.
The application parameters work fine. By excuting the iView all fields of the transaction are filled with the desired parameters.
But when I use the property u201EProcess first screenu201C the transaction uses the wrong button. It always executes the function check of the transaction and not the function show, which should be used...
Does anybody know, how to define which button / function should be used by processing the first screen?

  • Mass processing of Workorders-Reg

    Hi,
We are having standard Tcode COHV for mass Processing of Production Order.
Like that do we have any tcode for mass processing of Workorder.
The reason behind is instead of having CO99 for closing the order with only one plant(my requirement is multiple plants and multiple order types) ,Is it possible to use IW38 in Background to change the order from TECO to CLSD.
Because the option is given in IW38(Menu- Program-Execute in Background). If so how to do that?
Pl throw some light on this.
    Regards
    KRISHNAN

    Krishnan,
In my 4.7 A&D IS system, we don't even have a menu path starting with Program in IW72 or
    IW38 (Menu- Program-Execute in Background).
Only Order > Completion > Complete business, but these programs are designed to release, TECO etc all from within the transaction.
Additionally, you are not restricted to one plant and one order type in CO99. You can leave these open, you are then only restricted by one Controlling Area.
Problem with that is that you are not restricted to PM orders, all order types are processed.
If you are using PM task lists in all your orders, that may work for you as a selection criteria, but that's an unlikely case.
If not, you should be able to reach an agreement with all internal order type users that all orders should be (financially) closed after n days in state of TECO.
Most companies are keen not to leave any 'finished' orders open and available to financial postings.
The usual late postings are differences in invoices and purchase orders. If there are a lot of these it is practical to wait a number of days and then close.
The errors that occur afterwards can always be processed by reversing the closure.

  • Mass processing for SOP

    Hi,
I am able create sale plan through MC87 transaction by selecting the create sale plan through forecasting, when total consumption values are maintained in the material. But I want this to be done by MASS processing function. In other words I want to up date key figure sales in S076 table.
There is one tcode MPBT which is to create total forecast in background. But this is happening only when unplanned consumption values are maintained in material. Is this behaviour is correct?
Can u detail the configuration settings required for mass processing of SOP.
Through help I came to now that mass processing can be done for forecasting. Is this forecasting and creating sales plan are same. Kindly brief.
    Thanks & Regards,
    N. Laxman

you can refer the below link:
    configuration steps for SOP:
1)Set parameter for Info structure and Key figure
    2)Maintain Transfer Profile
    3)Define Activity
    4)Define Key figure assignment
    5)Define copy profile.
    procedure of Standard SOP:
    1. Create Plan in inactive version
    2. Disaggregate product group plan & Check capacity
    3. Version Management
    4. Transfer Product group to planning
    procedure of Flexible Planning:
    1.Create Plan in inactive version
2.Convert Plan in to Active Version
    3.Transfer to Demand management
    Master Data in SOP:
    1.Information Structure
    2.Planning Type
    3.Planning Hierarchy
    4.Product Group
    5.Resource
    6.Rough cut planning profile
It's very helpful link & std procedures for SOP.
    SOP steps have 3 classifications
    1) STD SOP for Material
    2) STD SOP for Product Group
    3) Flexible Planning
    A) Now Let we take STD SOP for Material
This will takes place in Material and Plant level
so the charateristics will be Material and Plant
The key figures are Sales,Production Qty,Targer stock level,.......etc
    Steps
    1) Create Planning for material MC87
    2) Copy to Active Version MC78
    3) Transfer to Demand Mangement MC74
    B) STD sop for Product Group
Here also the Characteristics are same material->product group
You have to maintain master data Product group
    steps:
    1) Create Product Group MC84
    2) Create Plan for Product Group MC81
    3) Disaggregate Product Group Plan MC76
    4) Copy to active version MC78
    5) Transfer to Demand Management mc75 for Pg or mc74 for material
    C) FLEIXIBLE PLANNING
Here you can able to Define your own characteristics and Key figures
Char like Sales org,Dis chann, Div,......
    Key figures like stock,invoice qty,....
    steps
    1) Create Info structute MC21
    2) Maintain Planning Parametes MC7F
    3) Create Planning Type MC8A
    4) Create Flexible Planning MC93
    5) Copy to active version MC8V
    6) Transfer to Demand managemet
    5) Create Std SOP Planning -MC
    6) Transfer to DM from change mode of Flex Plann with active version MC94
if you want use the flexible planning info like SIS in std sop after the 4th step of above it will be like
    5) MC87 std sop there Sales data from SIS it will ask for info str and version then you can get it automatically then the std steps like
    6) Copy to Active Version MC78
    7) Transfer to Demand Mangement MC74
Pls let me know any clarifications.

  • Background processing in CIFING/mass processing while CIFING

can anyone tell me what are the settings/steps to perform CIF in background?
how to do mass processing while CIFING ?
as I have to cif some lacs of ppms what is the feasible option to save time?
    thanks in advance.
    regards

    Anand,
    Regarding CIFing lacs of PPM
You can implement funnctionality of parallelisation and optimum block size for intial data transfer of same object type in your case : PPM
Path for Parallelisation in customization  :
Logistics ->Central Functions -> Supply Chain Planning Interface ->Core Interface Advanced Planner and Optimizer ->Environment -> Current Settings ->Define Number Ranges for Parallelization or using transaction
Path for defining the Block Size in customization the optmimum packets of data transfer
Basic Settings for Data Transfer ->Initial Data Transfer ->Set Filter and Selection Block Size or using transaction CFC3.

  • DP Mass Processing error Variant &0000000000322 does not exist

    Hi,
When I double click on the process chain which is created already in transaction RSPC, the system displays message Variant &0000000000322 does not exist.
Please help to resolve this issue.
    thanks and regards
    Murugesan

    Hi,
Variants starting with & are temporary variants and are not transported from one system to another. So if you have transported your process chain from one system to another, the chances are the temporary variants have not been transported.
So pls change your process chain to use a more permanent variant. You can create permanent variants for mass processing jobs as follows.
Go to SE38, type program name as /sapapo/ts_batch_run. Click on variants and create variants with the relevant info.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Mass processing MC94 without LSMW?

    Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to mass process MC94 without using LSMW. We do not want to give authorization to end users for transaction LSMW, therefore I need another solution. I already tried CATT, but somehow that doesn't work either. I might also be making a mistake when trying to use CATT for MC94, so any help here would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried CATT for this process before? The users have authorization for CATT as well as other ones but creating a program will be consuming the resources (we only have one ABAPer), therefore the solution will be rejected most likely.

  • Mass Processing for Forecast SOP

    Hi Experts,
I have one requirement, I have to run Mass Processing for Forecast SOP in background Job based on consumption values updated in Material Master.
I have followed all instruction give for doing this process (SAP SOP Mass Processing - SAPs'WORD - We SAP For Your Cause) but could not achieve.
Can any one help to run in background job for Mass Processing for Forecast SOP.
    Thanks in Advance
    V.Sundeep

    Hello,
Refer KBA    1778072 - Error message MA 653 when running mass processing forecast (program RMCP6BIN)
Internal condition NOT IPRWA-VGVON IS INITIAL not fulfilled
Internal condition NOT IPRWA-VGBIS IS INITIAL not fulfilled
Forecast/historical period cannot be calculated MA 653
Check your planning type which is used for your batch job. The number of historical periods in planning type (transaction MC8B) must not be smaller than the number of historical periods in forecast profile (transaction MC96). If the number of forecast period is maintained in the forecast profile (transaction MC96) the number of future period in the planning type must not be smaller than the number of forecast period in the forecast profile.
A not appropriate entry in SOP User Settings (transaction MC79) in Number of periods in the planning horizon can have an effect on this also.
