Using MPviewer - and determining which MP to look in

I get email alerts from Dell management packs for ambient temperature. I've used the MPviewer but it's been a while.
I want to check what the ambient temperature threshold setting is. How do I determine which management pack to look in? And once I find that how do I determine where to do an override, if I need to?

I believe you have the date and time for the alert. Find the alert in the Console (Active alerts, Closed alerts) - In Alert Details you can see Alert Monitor/Alert Rule - click on the Alert Monitor/Rule, choose Override, Override for the object......I believe
you can find the temperature there.

I-movie. I made a movie for a party of my daughters using photos and music. The video looks great on my Mac but when I burned a dvd and watched it on several t.v.s it looked like crap. The pictures looked blurry because of the movement of transitions?

When to use the Adapters and in which case

Hi Experts,
I am little worried and searched the sdn, but i am not getting the proper answer for my question.

If an incoming or outgoing message is a file(.txt,.csv etc), we use a file adapter
If the outgoing message is an IDOC, we need an IDOC adapter.same for RFC also.

How to determine which Windows application has focus

I'm new to JAVA and new to programming. I hope someone will help me out. I'm trying to write a simple JLink program (JLink is a JAVA API for Pro|Engineer, a CAD design program). In part of this program I need to determine if Pro|E has focus. Is there some way to use JAVA to determine which actively running Windows application has focus?
I basically want my program to pause when focus changes to another program. For example: While Pro|E is active and has focus the program runs, when I select an Excel window, or Outlook, or Notepad or any other window my program will pause until focus is returned. I just need to determine which window within Windows has focus.
I hope I have explained this properly. I searched the internet for an answer but found nothing. I did come across some references to JNI, but I'm not sure what that is or how to use it.

I just need to determine which window within Windows has focus.No, you don't. All you need to determine is whether your application has the focus. If it doesn't, then some other application does, but it's really irrelevant which one does. All that's relevant is that your application doesn't have the focus and hence it should pause.

Determine which button is clicked

I am creating the download buttons on my page dynamically and I am assigning the name also dynamically attaching the counter with the name. Now On form post, i want to know which button( button at which counter ) was being pressed. Could u help me on this.

Use request.getParameterNames( ) to get an enumeration of all the names passed by the form. You can then go through the list and determine which button was pressed since the name of that button would be passed along.
If you are uncomfortable with using the enumeration technique, do a request.getParameter( button_name ) for each button and check whether you get a null value which implies the button wasn't pressed, or the counter value, which implies the button was pressed. If you have a lot of buttons, this results in some redundant code, but if you have only one or three, then this is probably an ok way to do it.

Determine which component fired an action

I don't see anywhere where I can determine from an IWDCustomEvent which component fired the event.
I was hoping to setup a help system and wanted one single method to handle all the help events. It was my hope to determine which component fired the event that called the method and use that to determine which text to display.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can use event parameter mapping for this. Example: You have 2 buttons "Button1", "Button2" and assign the same action to their "onAction" event.
Now you can add a parameter "button" to the action, and use parameter mapping code (or declaratively, if available in your IDE).

How to use EvLST and EvSET in BPC NW 7.0

I would like to list the members of dimension "Entity" by putting a filter on one of the property.
In 5.1 I used EvLST and EvSET, which was working fine.
But in NW 7.0 , I am not getting the list of dimension members eventhough the function returns TRUE.
Any idea on how to use EvLST in NW 7.0 version?

I regret to have to tell you that EVLST and EVSET are functions which are not supported currently in BPC 7.0 NW despite these being shown in the function list available from the action pane. The explanation given by development was it is not possible to pass the MDX SetExpression to the shared query engine from the client front-end.
I suggest you please try to use EVDRE and filter your entity dimension using properties in the Expansion MemberSet cell. For example you could use CURRENCY='USD" AND CALC="N" to produce a list of entities which report in USD and are also not parent members.

SharePoint Databases - How to determine which ones are being used and which ones aren't

I am not sure where to exactly post this question. On the SQL Server side or on a SharePoint side.
I am a SQL Server Database Administrator who is monitoring some SharePoint databases. On a daily basis it seems that they are creating new databases but don't delete the databases that they are no longer using. For example, they might be testing
on a development server and if things aren't working properly instead of asking that the databases be deleted they just go ahead and create new databases to do what ever they need to do. Is there a way on the SQL Server side to determine which SharePoint
databases are being used and which ones aren't being used? Or does one determine this information through the SharePoint Central Administration console?

Here's what's going on in the catalog you sent me, "Joel & Caitlin's Wedding". There is the keyword "gwenn", which is explicitly assigned to 7 pics. But keyword "schwartz" has a number of synonyms, including "gwenn", and it is assigned to 25 pics. There is no overlap between the two sets of pics.
I discovered these two occurrences by doing Metadata > Export Keywords, opening the exported file in an editor, and then searching for "gwenn". I found two occurrences of "gwenn":

From this, you can see that the keyword "schwartz" has 9 synonyms, of which "gwenn" is one.
The filter criterion "Keywords Contain gwenn" will match the 7 pics that are explicitly assigned the keyword "gwenn", and it will also match the 25 pics assigned the keyword "schwartz", because that keyword has a synonym "gwenn".
This illustrates the behavior I mentioned above: The criterion "Keywords contains x" will match against any of a pic's assigned keywords, any of those keywords' ancestor keywords, and any of the synonyms of the assigned keywords and their ancestors.
So LR is operating correctly here, if not in a way that's easy to understand.
It appears that you are using the synonyms of "schwartz" to represent individual members of the Schwartz family. A better way of representing family relationships is to have a parent keyword "Schwartz", with subkeywords for each family member, e.g. "Gwenn Schwartz", "Joe Schwartz", "Jane Schwartz", etc. Repeating the family name in the subkeywords has a couple of advantages. LR usually only displays the "leaf" name of a keyword, so instead of showing you just "Joe", it will show you "Joe Schwartz", helpful when there are a number of different people whose first name is "Joe". Also, if you ever export your pics to other software, it may not understand the LR hierarchy and won't show the parent keywords, so again it's more informative to see a keyword named "Joe Schwartz" rather than "Joe".
