Using multiple headphones with apple tv and projector?
Hi,
I own a Barbers where we have an apple tv set up with a projector (through HDMI). It would probably be a good point to say this is attached to the ceiling
As we're trying to take things to the next level, i was wanting to provide over-ear headphones on the waiting area for people to listen to whatever is playing on the screen.
Currently, i have tried a 20m long audio jack (connected to the projector and a headphone splitter) which dulls the sound dramatically to the point of it being unlistenable. I have heard of splitters with amplifiers to boost the sound but i was wondering if there was another way?
As apple TV uses airplay i have tried to research into this with little to no luck. As we are a fairly new business i'm trying to keep costs low.
The guy from apple advised to buy sonos PLAY1 and said that these work with air play (which wasn't true so i had to send this back, later finding that only the sonos bar works with airplay)
I like to think of myself as fairly tech savvy but this is starting to get out of my league. Is there any fairly simple solution to achieve multiple headphones that'll recieve the same sound without loosing too much volume?

That's because the ATV only allows one iTunes library to sync with it, you can however stream up to 5 computers

I am using My iPad with Apple TV, Airplay and projector in my classroom. The projector screens blanks out and back on several times during a presentation. It seems like a problem with connection but I'm not sure as it comes back on after a few seconds. Any idea of what is causing this and how it can fixed?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Using dvd player with apple TV and airplay
I am having problems to use the apple TV to see a DVD with the air play mode
I tried to watch a movie using the default DVD player that comes with my iMac and when I activated air play to connect the iMac with the projector through the Apple TV, the video window would go blank
The problem disappears as soon as I disactivate airplay but then I cannot use the projector big screen
Funny eough I do not have this problem when I use VLC to watch .avi files
Can anyone help?

PS I have the latest version of the Apple TVit happens with remote desktop too it's the DRM copy protection of dvd's which kick in
so the native player is doing the right thing and VLC may be breaking the law as it's compromising the digital material in a way it could be copied -
Is there a way to use Bluetooth headphones with apple tv
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to use my Bluetooth headphones with my Apple TV3. I know it has Bluetooth as I can use the keyboard.

....especially as AppleTV has no analogue audio out, and most non-Bluetooth wireless headphones would expect an analogue input (there are some expensive ones that handle optical, or the user coudl maybe use TV headphone/audio out, but Bluetooth audio might be handy for many.

Optimal use of iTunes with Apple TV and Time Capsule
I’m undertaking a major “infrastructure” upgrade. This will involve Time Capsule and Apple TV. My current environment consists of 1 PowerBook and 1 Desktop PC running WIN XP. I’m running on a wireless network based off of an old Linksys Gateway (G-Cable). I’m backing up each device with separate external hard drives which are quite old. Shortly, I’ll be adding a 2nd Powerbook to the mix.
My configuration plan is to install Time Capsule to backup all of the devices. I will then add Apple TV to stream iTunes content to my TV. My current Powerbook contains my iTunes Library which is nearing 70G.
In regards to Apple TV, is it recommended to go with the 40G model and maintain the iTunes library on Time Capsule or other external drive?5 Ghz may help avoid interference, but it also has shorter range, it depends on the circumstances surrounding your location whether it's a better option or not.

Can i use airport extreme, with apple tv and pc without the internet
While renting/buying films on itunes is all well and good, my wireless capacity is poor, if i buy airport extreme, without connecting it to the internet, will it stream my films on itunes from the PC to apple TV?

Yes. An Internet connection is not required. However, of course, the AirPort or your Apple TV will not be able to stream content from the Internet. -
Using Multiple Libraries with Apple TV
I've been running out of space on my main iMac with iTunes content - call it my Media Server - so I decided to create a new TV & Movie Library on an external hard drive to store movies and TV Shows (that went well). Unfortunately AppleTV does not sync to both the Media Server Library on the iMac and the TV & Movie Library at the same time. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How do you use multiple displays with a MacBook Pro and iMac
I have an iMac and a MacbookPro laptop both upgraded to OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). I'd like to use multiple displays with them. Can I do this without an Apple TV? They are both on the same network. If I can, can someone please give some instructions on how this can be done?
Thanks!Both computers have ports for external monitors. Check your user manuals. Only one display can be added to the MBP, but newer iMacs have dual Thunderbolt ports.
Do your own Google research to learn what to do, but reading your manuals should be all you really need. It' not rocket science yet. -
I am working on an interactive book and have set up each page as a separate composition in edge.
I am using the edge commons JS library to load multiple compositions into a main composition.

The way the edge commons tutorial is set up requires a button for each composition i want to load. I am interested in loading multiple compositions with a "next" and "back" button, and a "swipe left, "swipe right" gesture on the content symbol that each composition is loaded into. I also need the swipe features on the content symbol not to interfere with the interactive elements on the loaded composition.
Please suggest a solution that will work without adding additional scripts beyond edge commons and jquery.Sort of. I'm using this code inside an action for a button symbol. But it doesn't work perfectly. Trying to debug it.

Question about the problem mentioned in subject.
I have configured that JNLP opens with 1.5 version, both versions are enabled in Java Control Panel Runtime Settings but when I try to start a desktop java console says:
Java Web Start 1.5.0_22
Using JRE version 1.6.0_07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
And the opening of the desktop creates an exception:
Java Web Start - Invalid Argument Error

I'm trying to open my desktop with 1.5 version and other programs with 1.6 version. What is it that I still need to do? I'm kind of confused with this. Some of my collagues have succeeded with this and some doesn't, with the same configuration.
So the question is, how to use multiple JREs with IE8 so that one application uses 1.5 version and others 1.6 version?

I run my business with Apple Computers and own more than 20. I personally use more than 5 devices both at home and at the office but can't "authorize" more than 5. Is there anyway around this problem? Thanks
Use the Deauthorize All command documented in this article, or if it isn't an option, the 'contact iTunes Store support' link at the bottom of it.

MacBook will not start. I have restarted with original CD. I have used Utilities and "no problem" with hard drive. I have reset PRAM. I have tried safe boot. Nothing is work. Gray screen with Apple logo and rotating wheel. Thanks for any suggestions!
Snow Leopard is a Mac OS X version. You say that it's the version you have in your Mac (10.6.8). Do a back up of your files, format the hard drive (using Disk Utility) and reinstall again

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 - earlier systems don't show the iCloud preference pane. If you want to use iCloud you will have to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion (assuming your computer meets their requirements) but even so you won't be able to publish web pages to iCloud because it does not provide web hosting.
