Using Muse

Within some text panels I'm unable to use a hyperlink. This sign appears, "Hyperlinks applied to text inside a rasterized frame cannot be exported." In other cases the hyperlink works perfectly. Why is this happening? What is inconsistant in my precedure that causes the difference?

Muse rasterize (converts to bitmap image) frames of text that contains non-web fonts (system fonts). Try to change the font with a web safe or Typekit one, the problem should be resolved.

I have just started to use Muse for our design agency and learning how to build ourselves a new site, I have managed to create a basic lightbox which contains sliding images, what I need to do now is have a pop up window which goes into detail about the projects, what I would like is a piece of text or icon that when you roll over it and then click a separate window pops up with additional information in, once finished reading the info you can then click to close the box, any advice on how to do this?

The best way to do what you're asking is with the Composition widget. Start with the Tooltip preset, which, by default shows the info on rollover. You can change the option to show on click, which is what you're after. You can also add the close button or have the info disappear on rollout.

I'd keep trying the other way. You may have hit it when BC was doing an update or something. If it works one way it should work the other way. But sometimes BC can be kind of temperamental and you have to do a little dance or something to get it to work. But it generally comes around and fixes itself in short time.
Have you tried the other way again?

Adobe Muse: Is it possible to create a Social Network type website using Muse?

Hey everyone,
So ive recently came up with what i believe to be a pretty nifty idea for a social network type website, but i was just wondering is it possible to create such a website using muse? Ive created a few websites with it but never integrated features such as profile pages for users, searching options and other common things found on a few of the more well known sites such as Facebook, Twitter and so on. I dont really want to say what my idea is for obvious reasons, but if anyone knows if you can create a social network style website using Adobe Muse that can incorporate these such features, Id love to know. and if so can you point me in the direction of how to go about it, or to some instructional videos or sites that will help me out. thank you so much everyone,

Hi Prabha Sharma,
I am afraid that at this stage this is not possible via Muse as that requires server side coding. You can start off creating a skeleton/template for your social networking site via Muse and then use that further with your own custom code. however, I will not recommend that you continue making your site with Muse as you will face issues in altering the muse generated code.

I am using Muse v7.1 Build 329 anchor links not working

I am using Muse v7.1 and have found that anchor links from buttons and from text boxes fail to work in IE v10 but all work fine with Chrome.
I have seen comments from others that if I use a space in the code it will work but the whole point of Muse is that I don't need to code in Dreamweaver.

Firstly, your country is detemined by several factors, including your phone's regional settings, your SIM card and your NokiaAccount settings, if you used this phone whilst abroad then you may need to check that your regional and account settings are up to date since you have arrived in Canada.
For services like Gigs, you should also ensure that the MixRadio app has access to your phone's GPS location as well as the main location being on in the phone settings. To check this, as well as Location being turned on in the phone settings, in MixRadio itself go to Settings>Location>On:
The concern with favourites may also be related to location, if the music from certain artists is available in Canada but not where the service might think you are, availability of content may vary from region to region.
If all settings in both the phone, your Nokia Account and the MixRadio app are correct, we may have to investigate deeper.
It is impossible to comment on your camera without seeing it, you cold have the phone checked by Nokia Care locally, but of course if it was supplied in Europe it will be covered by the European Limited Warranty which is not valid in Canada.

Using Muse on dual screens

Is it possible some how to use Muse on dual displays?
I use it all the time in Premiere, and would love it for Muse too, but when I drag the application window to fit both screens, everything is centered, with the two black edged of the monitors in the middel, whic is a tiny frustrating

No, the iPad cannot support two external screens, not if you want different content on each. If the client wants both screens to display the same content, then you'll just need an appropriate splitter to take the output of the iPad to each screen.

It is not possible to edit html files in Muse at the moment. Muse can read only .muse files.

Just recently I had someone perform an audit on my website and the results that came back weren't good. It seems I have all sorts of problems with my site, mainly from an SEO perspective. The guys that did the audit said they could rebuild it for me, but the quote was very expensive. I'm thinking I might do it myself to try and save some money. A good friend of mine suggested I use Muse, but before he mentioned it, I'd never heard of it.
I've only ever designed my sites using Dreamweaver, and am very confident using it.
So my question is, should I use Dreamweaver or Muse? Which is better? Is there really much difference?

I found your site alittle too big on images and low on manu bars but nothing that needs a major redo... you don't ask for credit cards.
As for the other thread, yes muse is not a dreamweaver replacement but it also has improved a lot in the last two years so some of that post is out dated.
I'd watch the Muse demo veds and make a test page or two to get your basic design then you can always load that into dreamweaver to fine tune the code... any thing made with Muse is happy to be opened in Dreamwever so worse case is you finish with a site that cann't stay with Muse.
p.s I only looked at 10 or so pages but didn't see anything Muse can't make on it's own, any way.

i d'like to switch from A to B frequently, but muse is blocked on ID A, impossible to switch.

If incase you want to use Muse subscription with two different adobe Ids, you may use the option to deactivate Muse and reactivating it, to know from here to deactivate check : http://prntscr.com/1ddc49 . However, Could you please provide me with the specific reason why you want to switch the accounts, is it for publishing to BC site under a specific adobe ID? If yes, you might need not to deactivate muse again and again.

Using Muse, I was wondering if there is a way to convert a website that is already built into a mobile website. I have no idea how the website was originally built. My client is asking me to build a mobile site for his current site without touching his desktop site. His site was originally built in Dreamweaver I think but he have no way of finding the files and lost contact with his original designer. We don't want to start a new site from scratch with a new domain because he is afraid of losing his seo work.
In other words. My client site was build in Dreamweaver or something else. I am not a programer and was going to use muse to make his mobile site. So the question is how do I link a muse made mobile site to his desktop site?

What you are able to adjust is the USB connection mode by going to the home screen and selecting'recent apps' (in the touch keys bar), settings,storage, the menu (the 3 tiny dots) and tap usb pc connection. If you do not want the software to try and install choose either the internet connection or camera option. Let us know if this helps.

Every time I use Muse, I have to log in to my Adobe account

I will wait patiently for a few days for an answer before I get all indignant. I belong to the cretive cloud and I can't use Muse while offline because it needs proof for some reason. No other Adobe program needs this. This question has been asked before, but I haven't seen it addressed.

I use templates as a start for creating websites, I add my own design, manage it with Joomla and have a company to host it. I have a CC licence so am able to use Muse, but why would I need to. How does it help make my life easier, reduce time to create a website etc? Just interested to hear the pros and cons.
