Using my Apple TV in photo stream, I am only able to view 92 pictures out my 1000. Why
In photo stream on my Apple TV I can only see 92 of the 1000 that I have. Why is this.
A common cause of this would be if you moved images on your computer, and didn't do that within Lightroom. In that case Lightroom is still looking for the images in the old location. You can correct that problem by right clicking on the folder and choose to find the missing folder. Then, all you have to you is browse to where the images are located now.
There is no way I know of to retrieve images after the hard drive has been reformatted.

Incorrect. Photos added to the Camera Roll are automatically uploaded to Photo Stream. Photos deleted from the Camera Roll are not automatically deleted from Photo Stream.

A friend of mine was recently in an accident and we need to delete some photos from her iPhone's "Photo Stream From my Computer" album, but cannot figure out a way to do it (there's no delete button). Help?
Sounds like it was synced from her computer using iTunes. Connect the phone to her computer, open iTunes, click on the name of her phone in iTunes, go to the Photos tab and see if this folder is checked. If so, unchecking it and syncing will remove them all, or deleting/moving the photos from the folder on her computer and syncing will remove the deleted/moved photos.

Can anyone tell me why my photo stream is not loading all 1,000 pictures onto my new iphone 5c? i backed up my old phone onto the mac and plugged in my new phone then hit backup. it only gave me 100 pictures????? why?
thanks for any help!Because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing enough time for your devices to download them. Only shared streams keep photos in iCloud indefinitely. Your other photos are probably older than 30 days and are no longer in iCloud.
Also, photo stream photos aren't included in your backup, only camera roll photos are. If you want to include photo stream photos that are not already in your camera roll in your backup, you have to save them to the camera roll before backing up. -
In IPhoto '08, in Library/Photos, I'm no longer able to view a screen of thumbnails. I'm only able to view a single photo at one time. This was not true in the past.
Note the slider lower right of the iPhoto Window. Drag it left.

im using 2 apple ids in 2 different countries. i confirugered all the ios, mac and apple tv in one apple id and when i canged to my primery id only the photo stream cannot be changed, it is still in the old id how to change this plz help.
iPhone's Settings > iCloud > Account > sign out and sign in with Apple ID you want to use.
Your Mac do not support iCloud or Photo Stream. You need OSX 10.7.x Lion.

I just got a new Apple TV and for some reason it will not detect my photos in Photo Stream. It works on all of my other devices, but it does nothing on my Apple TV.

Not sure if you've figured this out yet. I had the same problem and this is how I solved it (only moments ago)
I was already signed into PhotoStream but couldn't get my photos to appear.
Under the Internet channel, there is a PhotoStream App. Open that app and sign in if you aren't already. Then give it a few seconds/minutes to load into AppleTV all your photos from PhotoStream. You'll see them all load in automatically.
And that's it. When my AppleTV next went to screen saver my photos appeared. (Of course, I had already selected PhotoStream as my screensaver folder choice.) So you'll need to make that selection under ScreenSaver, obviously.
I'm guessing that each time you have new images in PhotoStream you'd like to add to AppleTV, you'll need to open that App again so that AppleTV brings them in.
But this new feature is fantastic. I've been trying to find an easy way to make my personal photos be my AppleTV screensaver since i got the device, and this addresses that. Tho to WC's comment, I'll be curious to see what happens when there is a photo in there i don't want included in my AppleTV screensaver feed.
I've also not tried removing images from my PhotoStream yet. Not sure how easy/difficult that might be. -
I have IMac on Yosemeite, 500GB. IPhone 5 on 8.2. My photos, from iPhone, had not appeared via photo stream on my Mac. I had been away from a while But expected the photos to appear on the Mac. There were 1000 in Photostream and 1200 in Camera Roll. I used a cable to import the Camera Roll, it stopped importing after 1000 photos. The photos, though, are in iCloud and I don't know how to access them to put them to Events. There are 3 recent Photostream events showing up in IPhoto withOut any photos. I tried to import to Library but was directed to Finder and no access to iPhoto. I tried to shut down iPhoto but got a message telling me photos were being imported. That's 6 hours ago and I'm still getting the same message. I don't know what to do. I'm not an expert, just a user.
HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated. -

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone. -
Apple Tv no photos. Home sharing only lasts for one session
My Apple Tv only shares photos for a while then my computers name disappears from head list I can only access Music after subscribing to I match and using I cloud. Have tried some ideas suggested by others with similar problems; and 4 calls with Apple TV support culminated in in 2 responses "we are not trained to assist with entering access ports in port forwarding. " Try calling BT re your home hub. Bt check out all ok with set up . Final response from Apple support "must be your Dell computer (only one year old and all is well!! Other people seem to feel abandoned by Apple. I had a response to an email as a last resort which was full of meaning less platitudes and attached 3 links to Apple support pages. Have now spent about 30 hours on this and next step is return to Amazon to see if they will exchange or refund. I do thinkl that Apple tv is a great concept. Why is it the Itunes store and paid for purchase areas always work fine. Am I being uinkind? If not please let me know of same problem and any fix that works because I am pretty fed up with it.

Photos from my photo stream show up in a location that pictures were not taken.
Hey guys, this is sorta creepy. I took some pitures with my Iphone4S and now when I click on photo stream or camera roll and then click on places, 59 of my photos show up in Algeria. I have never been to Algeria nor do I have any friends in Algeria. So far 59 of my pictures are there and I can't get them back. Every few weeks they come swipe more of my pics.
This is really creeping me out. I can't delete the photos in Algeria and I'm getting scared to take pics with my Iphone.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Double click the Home button, delete Camera in multitask-bar.
In Settings > Location Services > Camera > switch it off.
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.
Switch Camera Location Services back on. -
A renter used my Apple TV to access his Netflix movies, and now I can't log him out. Besides calling the renter to ask him to fix this using his Netflix.com account, how do I fix this?
There is no option in Apple TV to log out of Netflix. The internet tells me to go to netflix.com to "Disconnect from All Devices". I can't because I'm unable to log in to a renter's Netflix account.
Why is there no option to log out when using Apple TV? I can't ask my next renter to reset my Apple TV each time.

How can I get my pictures to continue downloading?
You could turn off photo stream and then turn it back on. The one danger to that is if you have some pix that are more than 30 days old in your photo stream album on the device. When doing the off/on, I pretty sure all pix will be deleted from that album and when turned on again, only those pix in the stream on the icloud server will download (those under 30 days old).
