Hey guys
I have ordered a uk 3G iPad 2 and am hoping to use it in Australia.
Does anyone know if Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns are pretty good at providing free wifi whilst I will be on the go?
If I buy 30 days worth of data from O2 over here for the £10 price could I use that data plan in Australia and not incurr any more charges?

You can't use your O2 data plan outside the UK, it is a UK only plan.
If you use data outside the UK you will be charged very high data roaming charges.
I suggest you use Google to search for Free WiFi locations in the areas you are visiting before you go, that way you can make a note of them and use them when you are there.

Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi so your should be able to connect to the internet where ever you are. Don't know about cellular though.

If you are in Australia then you can only use the Australian iTunes store - you need to be in a country to buy/download content from its store.

I have an article here that can help you change the country of your Apple ID so that you can use the same ID to access the US iTunes Store and the Australian iTunes Store. That article can be found right here:

I want to post my iPad from Australia to the US but Australia Post will not accept it because they say it has a lithium battery and cannot be put on an airplane. Is the battery in it a lithium battery?

I need to post my iPad from Australia to the USA but Australia Post is refusing to do it because they say the lithium battery in the iPad mini will be detrimental in the aircraft. Does anyone know if the iPad mini DOES have a lithium battery? The alternative is to use FedEx which will be too expensive.

Yes it will be as long as it is a WiFi only iPad. If it is a WiFi+Cellular it will not be international whether it is unlocked or not (and most iPads are unlocked unless subsidized by a cell provider.

THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem

If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be.

Connect it to your phone for what reason? The only supported Bluetooth connection would be for tethering. You would connect through the Personal Hotspot settings.

Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro. If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook. Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad. Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.

Sounds like you are a bit confused with version numbers.
Latest AirPort Utility version for the iPhone / iPad is 1.3.3. There is no option or capability to export/import settings on the iOS version(s) of AirPort Utility.....although you could take a series of screen shots and save them for future reference.
AirPort Utility 6.3.x is found on a Mac.....not on iPhone / iPad. Export and Import options are found under the File menu in 6.3.x.

Connect your iPad to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...

Yes, you would sign out of iTunes & App Store: Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on the Apple ID, click on Sign Out. Then sign back on with the new Apple ID. Also, if you have an iCloud account with the other Apple ID, you would delete that iCloud account, and then sign on with your new ID: Settings>iCloud>Delete Account.
