Using Named Anchors with Dynamic PHP Pages

I have a web app that uses PHP to generate pages out of a
MySWL database. The links to the page look something like:
www.domain.com/display.php?id=300.
On this page I'd like to include a link to an anchor towards
the bottom with a feedback form. I have a named anchor called
"add_rating". The link I'm using is
"www.domain.com/display.php?id=300#add_rating".
This link doesn't work in any browser/OS combination I've
tried and so it must be my code. Any help?

"
http://www.domain.com/display.php#add_rating?id=300''
(that's double quotes around)

  • Using named anchors

    Hi everybody,
    Let's say I have a two column layout with a series of links inside the left column (sidebar). Is it recommended to use named anchors to link text in one DIV to text inside another? Can I create a menu inside the sidebar and then target text inside the mainContent DIV? I've done a few tests and it seems to work well, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to do this. If not, can anybody recommend a better alternative?
    Thanks so much.
    Kind regards,
    Mark

    I don't like 1 page web sites.  I really think it's a missed opportunity.  Search engines pay more attention to sites that are broken up into logical sections with unique page titles and plenty of relevant, keyword rich content.
    index.html
         <title>XYZ Company Home Page</title>
    products.html
         <title>XYZ Products</title>
    services.html
         <title>XYZ Services</title>
    contact.html
         <title>XYZ Contact Form</title>
    testimonials.html
         <title>XYZ Testimonials</title>
    etc....

  • Creating Report using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters

    Hi All,
    I am new to BPC, In BPC 7.5 i seen like we can generate EPM report using EVDRE function very quickly and easy too. Is the same feature is existing in BPC 10.0 ? if no how can we create EPM reports using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters on the Members of the dimension like in BPC 7.5.
    And i searched in SDN, there is no suitable blogs or documents which are related to generation of Reports using EPM Functions. All are described just in simple syntax way. It is not going to be understand for the beginners.
    Would you please specify in detail step by step.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Siva Nagaraju

    Siva,
    These functions are not used to create reports per se but rather assist in building reports. For ex, you want to make use of certain property to derive any of the dimension members in one of your axes, you will use EPMMemberProperty. Similary, if you want to override members in any axis, you will make use of EPMDimensionOverride.
    Also, EvDRE is not replacement of EPM functions. Rather, you simply create reports using report editor (drag and drop) and then make use of EPM functions to build your report. Forget EvDRE for now.
    You can protect your report to not allow users to have that Edit Report enabled for them.
    As Vadim rightly pointed out, start building some reports and then ask specific questions.
    Hope it clears your doubts.

  • How to use a queue with dynamic data

    When using a collector I have found that it significantly slows down my loop times. I am using LabView7.1 on a Dell PC with Windows XP.  If I use a queue with dynamic data do you think that will require less of my processor and allow for faster loop speeds?
    I have created a queue using dynamic data in one loop and I want to retrieve all available samples each iteration in a slower loop. If I use the flush queue I get a 1d array of dynamic data. What is the best way to convert the 1d array of dynamic data so that the array of dynamic data is consolidated back into a single dynamic data type? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Dennis,
    You could for instance wire the array to an auto-indexed for loop. I attach an example. I assume you wish to concatenate the arrays a singel waveform.
    Hope it helps,

  • PHP installed with Apache, php pages showing nothing [SOLVED]

    I've followed a couple of guides to install a LAMP stack on my Arch install, and I seem to have done everything correctly (no errors anyway...), but I still can't see anything on my basic phpinfo page.
    Viewing source shows nothing.
    Is there anything commonly missed out I should be looking for, in order to get it showing properly?
    If there's any more specific information I can give, please let me know. I'm new to these forums and realise I'm lacking detail, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Adam

    Here's my httpd.conf, I've not moved those lines yet,
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
    # will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
    # Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
    # same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
    # least PidFile.
    ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
    # Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
    # for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
    # Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
    # mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
    # other reason.
    # Mutex default:/run/httpd
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.

  • How do I get Started with Dynamic Web Pages?

    I am presently following Janine Warner's Dreamweaver CS3  video series.  I noted that the Advanced part of this tutorial series focuses on Dynamic Web Pages, but only uses Cold Fusion.  From what I can gather, CF costs around $1000, while PHP is free!  My question is really this: in going from static to dynamic web design I'M A COMPLETE NEWBIE, so what do I need?   I am doing some planning here -- I know it won't happen overnight.
    (BTW:  I was surprised to discover that CF is NOT included in my CS3 Master Collection).  It might appear then that support for PHP is better than for CF?
    Apparently, I need a server -- well, OK I have PCs to spare.  Fast internet, I also have: Comcast standard -- 12MP
    Now, I think I also need Apache -- which apparently runs on the server and does something.
    So then I DL PHP, figure out how it works, and it will integrate with DW CS3 in some way.
    Now, what have I missed?  Is there some really basic, first-time-with-using-a-server place or tut I should go to or read?  Before you ask: No, I'm doing all this myself on a shoestring budget.
    Are there expensive hosting fees for dynamic web sites or other items I will run into?  Can I just use a PC over my Comcast cable as the server run from my home?  (Really high traffic is not anticipated)
    All recommendations appreciated, thanks.
    Thom

    Many of these questions have already been answered in your thread in the Dreamweaver General Discussion forum, so I'll just stick to a few basics.
    You need a server whichever server-side technology you choose, but "server" is not a physical machine, but a piece of software that you install on your development computer. You'll find details of how to install a PHP environment in the following article: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_php.html.
    Similar instructions are available for setting up a ColdFusion server at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_coldfusion.html. The article is for ColdFusion 8, but ColdFusion 9 is installed in exactly the same way.
    Hosting for PHP/MySQL is plentiful and relatively cheap. However, make sure the hosting company offers a minimum of PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5.1. Hosting for CF is harder to find and tends to be a bit more expensive, but not prohibitively so.

  • Animate within a symbol using "named anchors"

    hi everyone,
    i would like to set up navigation of 3 colored buttons (red, blue & green) that will scroll on mouse down to the corresponding large colored rectangle.
    https://www.yousendit.com/download/UVJnUGhlZ2owMEhFdzhUQw
    in the below link, there is a file that i was able to make the blue & green buttons work if pressed from when the page first opens in the browser.
    but how to get the buttons to work if you are on "green" and want to go to "blue" or "red"?
    thank you all for your help

  • Reating an HTML Table Contents using named Anchors

    I have a on website:
    http://www.vpea.org/Bylaws/Test/bylaws_toc.htm
    a table of contents for our Association Bylaws. Just in case
    I've created named anchors using titles such as article_I,
    article_II, etc.
    is there anyway to make when clicking on a given TOC entry
    that it will go to that point perhaps highligting it, going to that
    point the document?

    firstly, if you have multiple rows.. you need to start each row with <tr> and end with a </tr>. You just have one in the beginning and end,which will obivously give data in one row.
    out.println("<tr>");
    for (int a = 0 ; a < log.length; a++) {
    for (int b = 0 ; b < 4; b++){
    out.println("<td>" + (log[a]) +"</td>");
    a++;
    out.println("<td>" + (log[a]) +"</td>");
    a++;
    out.println("<td>" + (log[a]) +"</td>");
    a++;
    out.println("<td>" + (log[a]) +"</td>");
    a++;
    b++;
    out.println("</tr>");

  • Retreive named anchor from On Load page process

    I am trying to utilize named anchors on a page and need to access the named anchor from a PL/SQL page process of type: On Load - Before Header.
    I first tried owa_util.get_cgi_env ('QUERY_STRING') which has been helpful in retrieving GET params, but for a URL like:
    http://host:port/pls/apex/f?p=121:75:3747918990426914:::75:P75_ID:25769#asdf
    it returns:
    http://host:port/pls/apex/f?p=121:75:3747918990426914:::75:P75_ID:25769
    What I actually need is everything else ... in this case: #asdf (or just asdf).
    I don't see anything relevant here either:
    owa_util.print_cgi_env();
    I'm punting now, assuming that there is no way to retrieve these hash url parameters. If somebody has any insight into this, I would greatly appreciate your direction!
    Thanks,
    John

    Could you use location.href in javascript to stuff the URL value into a page ITEM and then substr/instr it out?
    Just a thought.

  • Cannot use text:TextField with dynamic text in 3.2

    Hi,<br /><br />I have a multi-lang app which uses English LTR and Hebrew-Arabic RTL.<br />I am using a properties file for each language, and I get the<br />right item using resourceManager getString.<br /><br />Until 3.2 I had to reverse the order of the words in each item when using<br />Hebrew (or Arabic for that matter).<br /><br />In 3.2 with the new Text layout framework, this is not needed (MAJOR IMPROVEMENT) but I cannot get it to work with dynamic text only static text.<br /><br />of course all works great if I upgarde to flex 4.0, and use the textBox component, but I do not want to do that, so late in the development phase of the application.<br /><br />Here is a small mxml which shows the problem:<br /><br /><?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><br /><mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute"<br />   xmlns:TryComps="appComponents.*" xmlns:text="flash.text.*"><br />   <mx:Style source="css/flashTypeStyles.css"/> <br />   <mx:Script><br />     <br />       import mx.resources.ResourceManager;<br />     <br />   </mx:Script><br />     <mx:Label text="Using text:TextField FIXED : THIS WORKS"/><br />        <!-- some text in hebrew if you dont see it you probably dont have it insalled --><br />     <text:TextField text="&#1506;&#1489;&#1512;&#1497;&#1514; &#1499;&#1493;&#1514;&#1489;&#1497;&#1501; &#1502;&#1497;&#1502;&#1497;&#1503; &#1500;&#1513;&#1502;&#1488;&#1500;"/><br />        <mx:Label text="Using text:TextField DYNAMIC :  THIS DOES NOT WORK"/><br />     <text:TextField text="{resourceManager.getString(Locales.LOCALE_BUNDLE,'BI_DIRECTIONAL_TEXT')}"/><br />     <br /></mx:Application><br /><br />Any one has an idea ???<br />The 'BI_DIRECTIONAL_TEXT' is an entry in the property file which has the same value as the static text above.<br /><br />The run time error I get is : <br />TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter text must be non-null.<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Eli7

    If you look thru the TextField class in the help documents you will find all of the properties you can manipulate.  One property is the wordWrap property which will keep you text from going off the side of the textfield.  Another is multiline which will allow the textfield to have more than one line.  And another is the autoSize property which will make your textfield adjust to fit the amount of text loaded into it.

  • How to use a formula for dynamic New Page After?

    There is a formula for dynamic New Page After.
    How do I get value of formula?
    I am using RAS and the ReportClientDocument.

    There is a section object.  Off that there is a format property that is of type sectionformat.  From there there is a ConditionFormulas property which I believe is a collection of all the formulas you can set for a section.

  • Help Needed with Dynamic RePort PAges

    I've created a link that dynamically will generate a data
    report from my db. I have about 30 reports the client needs to be
    able to run. Do I have to create a separate page for every single
    recordset?? Is there a more efficient way to do this??

    You could make a drop down menu with the name of the report
    in it and then show that report on the redirect page using an if
    statement to determine which sql statement to run. Also you can
    have multiple recordset on a page.
    Are you using php, asp or cfm?

  • Viewing dynamic PHP page in browser

    It doesn't appear possible to view a PHP-based web page using
    the F12 command while building a site saved in the htdocs folder of

    the site once finalized? Thanks in advance!

    This, however, is a VERY dangerous option to select in my

    One silly mistake and you have garbaged both the local and
    the remote

  • Itextsharp using livecycle form with dynamic table

    Hello all, after searching Google for the past two days and not able to find any relevant information, hence this post.
    Some background:
    1) Created a pdf form using Adobe Livecycle designer 9.
    2) It is a dynamic form with textboxes and a table configured to repeat rows dynamically.
    3) Testing form using xml data within designer works just fine.
    Requirement:
    Need to populate form dynamically using data from database.
    Solution:
    Found iTextSharp (free assembly) which assists with populating existing pdf form.
    Issue
    This assembly works without any issue when populating textfields (see sample code below). The problem I am facing is with the dynamic table where in I am not able to reference rows greater than 1. Since the pdf template contains a table with just one row referencing the first row using acrofield works.
    I was under impression since this is a dynamic table with repeat enabled, in asp.net if I referenced row2 onwards the table would grow automatically. Which I have come to realize is not going to be possible.
    So I am looking for ideas on how I can accomplish this. I wish this could have been a fixed row table then reference rows would have been easier. However in this situation the table has to be dynamic.
    Any ideas thoughts would be appreciated.
    Below is my sample code:
    PdfStamper ps = null;
    try {
    // read existing PDF document
    PdfReader r = new PdfReader(
    // optimize memory usage
    new RandomAccessFileOrArray(Request.MapPath("itext.pdf")), null
    ps = new PdfStamper(r, Response.OutputStream);
    // retrieve properties of PDF form w/AcroFields object
    AcroFields af = ps.AcroFields;
    // fill in PDF fields by parameter:
    // 1. field name
    // 2. text to insert
    af.SetField("txtCompany", "Company name");
    af.SetField("txtDateDepartLocation", "date depart location");
    af.SetField("txtDate","test date");
    af.SetField("txtServiceNumber", "Service number");
    af.SetField("Table2.Row1.Cell1", "1test");  this works
    //doesnt work!!!
    af.SetField("Table2.Row2.Cell1", "1test");
    af.SetField("Table2.Row3.Cell1", "1test");
    // make resultant PDF read-only for end-user
    ps.FormFlattening = true;
    // forget to close() PdfStamper, you end up with
    // a corrupted file!
    ps.Close();
    catch { }
    finally { if (ps != null) ps.Close(); }

    Hi FourEyes;
    Try using this.
    Select Col1, Col2, Col3
    into :P1_Field1, :P1_Field2, :P1_Field3
    from Your_Table
    Where (your conditions);
