can anyone tell me how can i use this bluetooth headset as an audio output device for my netbook(windows 7 starter)?
it has output only when im using skype. please tell me if this specific model can be used if i want to listen music , play movies etc. in the pc...

Just pair it with your laptop/pc just like any other device. That should be enough and you can use it windows media player

Another thing to remember is the phone is actually usable for 911 calls and maybe others. Not a real good idea. Especially for a child.

Are you signed into iTunes on the computer with the same Apple ID the apps in question were "purchased" with? Is the computer authorized for that account?

i bought an ipod touch at a pawn shop and it has account and registered to another person on it and i don't know the password. and i started my own itunes account on the computer and when i connect the ipod to the computer the other persons account shows up to be synced to the computer and when i hit the sync button it says that the ipod can only be synced to one library at a time. then it says that it would erase his library contents and all other apps in order for it to be synced to my account. so i was wondering if there is anyway to sync all the music and other apps to my account with out it erasing everything on the ipod.

Do what iTunes is telling you to do. Wehn you purchased the iPod the apps and other media do not transfer to you. Then are permently locked/lienced only to the person who purchased them. Using the stuff on the iPod is stealing.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, no. iTunes Match is tied to an Apple ID and regional store. Once you sign into an Apple ID on a device and use iTunes Match it is not possible to switch between Apple IDs for 90 days. You will not be able to regularly update your apps.

Playing music and an app

I have a 2nd generation ipod touch and it won't play music through headphones. I have tried several different headphones and made sure they were plugged all the way in but it still plays through the speaker on the ipod. How can i fix this? I also bought the game called name that tune that uses your own library but it doesn't work. it tells me the song i selected was wrong even when it then shows me the right one which is the one i picked. how can i fix this? Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup

Using an External Drive for Time Machine and Other Things

I have a 2TB external drive which I use for Time Machine Backups on my 2 macs. The macs have HDs of 500GB and 160GB so the external drive has ample space for backups.
Is it okay to use the external drive for other things that I don't care if they aren't backed up (like digital copies of DVDs)? i.e. Will Time Machine cause any issues if a drive is used for more than just Time Machine backups?

It's best to put such things in their own partition. See #3 in the FAQ.
You may also want to make separate partitions for each Mac's backups, if you're backing-up either one directly (ie, not over your network). See #4 in the FAQ.

Using slugs on database for categories names and others

I have the following SQL Categories table:

On an ASP.NET MVC application I need to display products by category but I would like the url to be meaningful, something like:
    http://mydomain.com/books-and-magazines
So I suppose I need a slug field in my database. But should the slug be unique?
On the MVC application I could also use the following url:
    http://mydomain.com/2/books-and-magazines
Where 2 is the id of the category and now I would look by id ...
Or should I create a slug which would be equal to "name converted to slug" + id so:
    http://example.com/books-and-magazines-2
How is this usually done on the MVC side and on the SQL side?
And if a name changes should I change the slug?
Is there a way to generate the slug on the database?

In firefox 21 using flash-player to play music and then opening other one (for example in deviantart picture suffle) mutes the music instantly.

I switched to Firefox 21 and did the usual run to see if there are clinches, one came in the first run: using flashplayer in youtube to listen music and then opening other flash (in this case Deviantarts picture shuffle) mutes the music instantly and the only way to start the sound is reloading.
This didn't appear in 20, so there's one where 21 is weaker.

I have the exact same issue. Reboot is not helping.
Trouble is, I had it working properly in my other Arch install. I have tried ncmpc and Sonata and gmpc, they all start to play the song - I even see the CD covers (for the songs that I have CD covers for) -- but only for a split second and thenit stops.
I don't think alsa is an issue, because cplay plays all songs without a hitch.
I was hoping for a solution - but all I found was this thread and unfortunately Varreon doesn't know what he/she did to get it to work.
Could you maybe retrace your steps - if you remember them ?
EDIT : This is my mpd.error file. Having a look at it, it does seem that mpd is not recognizing mpdvol

Hello, thank you for your prompt answer. I did have an idea that Home sharing might be the answer but could not quite figure out how to do it. I have enabled home sharing in my iTunes account, put in username and password, clicked on creat etc. But the homs sharing icon doew not appear in the left side of iTunes. So I got stuck. No, it is not a storage solution as if you need to get the things off it you can't. If you deete things from iTunes they'll delete at the next sync. Provided you have backup copie on an external drive or CD/DVD, you could delete the actual file from the Finder leaving the database entry in iTunes - in this way you free space on the laptop but files stay on AppleTV.
An alternative would be to change itunes Preferences (Advanced tab) not to import into the library, then for things you don't want on the Macbook Air, have them on external drive, drag and drop to itunes, sync, then disconnect drive for portable use. Again when the files aren't available they won't be deleted, unless you delete the itunes database reference.

Your options are basically small portable drives most of which are USB powered (though may require powered hubs if you have a hub) or larger desktop externals requiring power adapter and more space.
For value the desktop externals give more capacity per pound/dollar, and will also have bigger capacity maximums at a given time (bigger and bigger capacity discs being developed all the time).
Try and work out the capacity/pro

Peronally I like Western Digital, Seagate and Freecom models, but they're all fairly good these days, and even popular brands can fail. I avoid Maxtor and IBM/Hitachi having had failures in the past, but all drives eventually fail.
