Using Nokia headset with Skype

Is is possible to use my HDW-3 headset with Skype? My laptop's bluetooth enabled & I can pair the headset qwith it. I don't know how to tell Skype to use the headset (if it's possible).

basicly you need to find a way to make sure you are NOT using the microsoft bluetooth stack which has no support for a bluetooth headset. skype now sells a nice motorola kit from its store as well that does everything for you if you dont want to get to technical.

Hi all,
I have Bluetooth headset model BH-601 and need to use it with my 6680 mobile.
I was able to pair the headset with the mobile but I couldn't listen to music as stereo, I was able to listen to music on the left speaker of the headset with very low quality as I was listening using normal headphone.
I tried to use the headset with my PC and it worked perfectly.
Is there a way to configure the mobile to use the BH-601 as stereo headset?
Is there a compatible music player.

The 6680 does not have the bluetooth profile necessary for listening to music in stereo on a bluetooth headset. As far as I am aware there is no way to get this profile onto the phone.
The only Nokia phones that have this profile is the 8800 and possibly the 7390 which I dont think is even released yet.

Yes you can use earphones or earbuds. You can use iPhone or iPod earbuds and there are many other headphones that will work with the iPad - and bluetooth headphones wiill work as well.

After downloading OSX 10.8.5 I can´t use the camera with Skype.

After installing OSX 10.8.5 I can´t use the camera with Skype. Incoming video works just fine. Problem is my camera doesn´t turn on automaticly and all camera text in Skype menus are greyed out. Camera still works with facetime and photoboth and so on, so no problem with the actual camera.
Please help, Im in Kabul Afghanistan, I have my support in Sweden!

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

Hiya, I have succesfully paired my headset with my mac. The headset's microphone works with Skype, but there is no audio output on this device. Is this possible? Can anyone offer any solutions?

Nopes. I cant see that.
But in Bluetooth devices, I can see my headset configured and paired with the mac, but it is not connected for some reason. The headset stops beeping which means it is connected. But it is not being shown there.
I think there are some connection probs. Ways to find it out ??

How to use photo booth with skype???

I can't seem to figure out how to use the photo booth effects with Skype. I would just use iChat but my husband is on a PC and I am on TDY for the military with my MacBook.

There is a folder called Compositions in the system side of things that booth Apple apps of Photo Booth and iChat can access for the Video Effects (And Backdrops on Intel computers in iChat)
Third Party apps such as Skype do not access this folder and therefore do not have Effects.
(there may be a Skype add-on that has them but I don't use it so I don't know).
It seems CamTwist does work for Skype.
iChat should Video to AIM on a PC (free) (Or Trillian Pro for a small amount).
Results can vary with AIM (Post in iChat if you want to know more) but you would then have access to the same effects Photo Booth has.

Using Logitech Headsets with Rosetta Stone on Mavericks

Rosetta cannot find the Logitech Headset with microphone. I googled it and there was a fix using the Midi Tool in Utilities, which fixed their problem but not mine. When I go to Preferences>Sound>Input or Output- I can choose the Logitech Headset and words spoken register on the gauge, but Rosetta does not see it.

This is great! I've got one follow-on problem to this, though: My format rate seems to keep snapping back to 16000, and breaking until I go back and fix it again (32000 works fine for me). Any idea how to twiddle things so that 32000 is the default for my device?

For the issue of your CyberLink You Cam not working with Skype. To confirm is the WebCam able to work with other program? I have also included two documents for you. Can I use a headset with its own mic with my iPhone?

I know we can't use brand names with AD but I do want to know if a headset will preempt the mic on the iPhone. It seems to defeat the whole purpose of hands free driving when i have to cradle the iphone in my lap or actually hold it while talking. I also have had decreased hearing over the years (sigh) and I much prefer a wired headset that allows me to hear from both ears. People are always telling me I'm talking in a hall when I set the iphone on my lap or on the seat next to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anyway I can use a Bluetooth headset with my latest generation iPod shuffle?

There is no built-in Bluetooth, obviously, but I suppose it is technically possible if you plug in a Bluetooth transmitter like this one

which works with anything that outputs audio through a mini-stereo jack. It might look somewhat rediculous with a tiny iPod shuffle connected.
It might be better to get something like this

Using EZCap 116 with Skype

Hi Guys,
Can someone help me on using my EZCap 116 with Skype?
I have it connected to a Sony HandyCam and it works in OBS XSplit and other programs like that.
But when i enable it in Skype it says "Cant connect to webcam" or something like that.
Why does it do that?
It also just shows a black screen with Google Hangouts.
I am on Windows 7 64-bit.
I have all the drivers and things installed.

To do that you will first have to turn off the Power Save Mode in your camcorder which you will find it Under the General Settings of your Menu. It is neccessary to turn off the Power Save so that your camcorder does not shut down automatically while using it as a webcam. Also plug the AC power adapter for the camcorder into a working electrical outlet so that the battery does not drain while using it.Connect the supplied composite video cable to the A/Vjack on the camcorder.Connect the other end of the composite video cable to the VIDEO IN jack on the computer.Turn on the camera.Turn on the computer.Start the Webcam application to be used.
