Using of GL in pubic industry

Dear all,
My public organization is actually a tax agency with multi level organization.
The tax revenue it earns actually belong the the government.
Also it doesn't manage other costs, HR .... in SAP.
It uses SAP just for purpose of tax collection management.
So in this case, do we need to use SAP GL?
I raise this question because actually for this agency there's no Chart of Account or Balance Sheet associated with the duty it performs.
The agency just to have periodical report on revenue/receivables categorized by other criteria such as organization levels, revenue types...
(it also need to record data by period)
So another questions: how to best achieve this?
Giang

This is actually very project specific solution

What are the key things to note in Capital Goods Industry
    Thanks In Advance

    Hello mdillon,
I just wanted to point out that you could use an NI-DAQmx simulated device.  With NI-DAQmx 7.4 and later, you have the ability to add a simulated device to your system.  That simulated device will respond with the appropriate NI-DAQmx errors (if you try to set invalid parameters, etc.).  It will allow you to program a system as if the device was present.  Just a suggestion

  • Industry Samples/Examples

Hey there...I'm exploring the use of Flex for
"situational-based" elearning development, which gives the learner
different scenarios that they have to walk-through to learn a
    particular concept (e.g., Selling, Negotiating)...definately NOT a
    linear approach.
The library of samples, although very inspiring, didn't have
anything on how Flex can be used in the learning development
    industry.
Many people use Adobe Captivate...not good enough for me (too
linear). I use Flash more than anything, but I want to use Flex to
build a framework for developing my e-learning apps. So that I can
crank out new projects quicker, but still maintaining a
recognizable structure/look/feel. I THINK Flex will really
help...just would like to see it in action, on a real e-learning
    development example/sample..that is not linear
The Flash Learning Paths (beta) application is great! It's
just that the tutorials/videos don't provide a complete
context...how the components fit in a larger, real world
application. Maybe the Flex Learning Paths isn't the place for
this...but more so for the larger Developer library?
Also, it would be really nice (for me), if you can filter on
not only Designer/Developer Vs. Manager Vs. Architect
(etc...)...but also on the TYPE of Designer/Developer for example.
I know that's a LOT to ask...but it would be a nice to have.
Thanks anyway...I will certainly continue to use the Flex
Learning Paths... Again, I think the beta looks great. Easy to
navigate and I like that it provides a variety of learning
opportunities (blogs, videos, exercises, examples, articles). Great
    job!

  • I m using EBS 12.0.6-10gr2..can i use discoverer..if yes then how

    i m using EBS 12.0.6-10gr2..can i use discoverer..if yes then how
I dont know how to use it nor do i know the basic theme behind using it
but people from industry told me that its good and i should use it for ad-hoc
    so please help me out

    Hi emm
Then you need to get hold of Discoverer before you can get this working. Compared to EBS it is not expensive. Oracle will allow you to download the software from OTN for evaluation purposes but before you can use it in a Production environment you would need to have the license.
You can download it here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/htdocs/devlic.html?url=/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101202.html
On the page, after agreeing to the licensing terms which in your case you should read before clicking that you understand them, you should scroll down to the row headed Business Intelligence. This is the application server that runs Discoverer. At the very least you will need the Tools CD under the Windows column - this is the Discoverer Admin software, plus you will need the various CDs for the platform you are using.
If you have never done this before you definitely need some help because there are a lot of steps involved in getting Discoverer up and running correctly and then interfacing it with EBS. This is not something you will be able to do by asking questions in a forum. You will need to find someone who has done it before or at least speak with your DBA who will have some experience of installing Oracle software and will have an understanding of Oracle Homes.
With regards to having it on the same server as EBS I would strongly advise against this. Discoverer is a memory hog and heavy use of it when installed onto the same server as EBS will cause no end of problems. Put it on its own server, Windows is the cheapest and perhaps easiest to install, then be done with it. This question is a little like asking should I put my eggs in one basket. Yes, you could but the real question is whether you should do it and my counsel would be stringly in the negative. You will get much better performance from Discoverer if it is on its own server.
    Best wishes
    Michael

  • LabVIEW using PCI-CAN, Error -2147136366

Here is a little bit of background. I am trying to use LabVIEW with an old PCI-CAN device. I am using the DNet toolkit for industrial communication. This device has been used by my customer with a LabWindows application which uses the devicenet functions, and is functioning correctly. The first step of the LabWindows application is to call Open DeviceNet Interface, and this is where LabVIEW errors out.
I was originally using example VIs provided by NI to get the device up and running, however did not have any luck. I finally stripped this down to the simplest version possible and this is what I get. When using the Open DeviceNet Interface.vi and all of the configurations matching the LabWindows application (which runs correctly), I get error code -2147136366. The error message states that the device handle is invalid and to try using the handle created by "Open DeviceNet Interface.vi" (which is the VI I'm trying to run). I have attached the application and error message.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi kcollier
Could you let us know exactly which PCI card are you trying to use and which version of LabVIEW and the DeviceNET are you using?
Since the VI seems like a really simple test, and you connected all the required inputs in it, I can inly think that:
    - The card is not supported by that version of the DeviceNET driver, or
    - The environment is not recognizing the card as a DeviceNET interface

  • Garageband in the music industry

I know that there are a lot of DAW's out there that are used for professional-level production and recording. I just wanted to know if it was possible to use garageband itself in the industry. If I wanted to producer or write music for artists or movies, could Garageband be sufficient? What else would I possibly need?

A couple of years ago Oasis recorded an entire album in Garage Band. They said it freed up their creative process (or something similar). Probably something worth googling.
Also, a few years ago Trent Reznor released his song The Hand That Feeds in garageband format for anyone with a Mac to remix as they please. I had a lot of fun with that one.
Sounds sufficient to me ; )

  • SAP Biller Direct utility industry based business package

    Hello Experts
Can we use SAP Biller Direct utility industry based business package with Finance module???
points will be given to right answers
    regards
    srinivas

    Yes
Biller Direct is aimed to be linked to the FSCM suite.
There are two views of Biller Direct, B2C and B2B.
B2C is used where customers deal with consumers, an example would be the utility industry. The Consumers can pay online their bills and view their account, update master records and so on.
The B2B is where there is a fuller customer master, normally you have less customers, but the customers have more line items. There again is the possibility to make payments here, however this is unlikely. They can however review their account, and raise disputes, print off copy invoices.
All of this functionality is delivered via JAVA and it is pretty standard, however the area that takes the longest time is setting up the users.
