Using one account on two computers

Howdy! I have itunes on my PC Tower. I just bought a MacBook Pro and wanted to buy a song, but "it said no" .... I have to create an account first. My ID/Password did not work. Can I just have one ID for both computers?
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   2.0 gig ram

You may need to 'authorize' your new computer under the Store menu from w/in iTunes. Keep in mind that your iPod (if you use one) will only sync with one computer--not both. Also, the songs you buy on one computer will not automatically show up on the other--you will need to transfer them yourself (burn a CD, copy files, etc.)

  • Hi all - is it really possible to use one license for two computers or is it just a rumor?

    I heard that it would be possible that you can use one license for two computers. Is that the truth? And if so - how does it work?
    Thanks
    K

    Adobe CC or any perpetual previous version allows you to install & activate it two times (on the same computer or other different one).
    As per End user license agreement, only one computer can be used at one given time.
    Please refer to:

    Hope it helps you.

  • How to use ONE IPod on TWO Computers

    I have an Desktop-PC using ITunes 5.0 and an IPod 20 GB. When I connect my IPod with my Laptop, the complete IPod is deleting by the ITunes on the Laptop. How can I use ONE IPod on TWO Computers without deleting the music hole time?!

    I think you need to manually update on at least the computer that has the smaller music selection.
    it may be best to turn off automatic updates on both machines and manually add and delete songs.
    or you could network both computers to share one music library

  • Can i use one ipod on two computers?

    Can anyone help me please?
    My son has ipod shuffle and has a separate itunes account, but before he got an ipad for his birthday, we set up itunes on my home computer, using my itunes account.
    His account has lots of credit whereas mine now doesn't as we have to use my account to purchase his music!
    We need to know if it's possible for him to purchase music from his itunes account either directly from his ipad or from my computer using his itunes a/c and ipod. A friend told him that he can't use his ipod on another account as it would wipe out his songs. Is this correct?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Merging mail from one account on two computers

    I have mail up until December 2007 on my Mac Mini and mail from December 1 to present on my Powerbook. I want to get all my mail until now onto just one computer.
    Can anyone tell me the best way to do this?
    Thanks in advance
    MK

    See Mail | Help and in the search box, type "importing email into Mail"
    Mail Help doesn't say so, but I would be sure to make a copy of your /Users/mk/Library/Mail before starting, just in case something terrible were to happen. Single-click on that folder then control-click on it and select "Make Archive".
    Find a firewire cable and connect the two computers together via firewire. On the one from which you want to import mail, reboot it while holding down the "T" key -- let up once you see the big firewire symbol on a blue screen. An icon of that computer should now show up on the desktop of the computer to which you want to import its mail. Then follow the instructions in Mail Help.
    I don't know if "import Mail" creates new mail folders or not when you do this. But whatever, if it does, once the messages have been imported, you can drag them to whatever mailbox is appropriate then delete the newly created imported mail folders once they are empty.
    If something goes terribly wrong (like the import operation overwrites your existing messages or something ugly like that), just drag the /Users/mk/Library/Mail folder to the Trash and doubleclick on the /Users/mk/Library/Archive.zip that was created when you made the archive of your Mail folder three paragraphs ago. Then you'll be back to where you started.

  • Using iTunes account on two computers?

    Can I use my iTunes library on two different computers? For example, if I have all my songs downloaded to my office computer in my iTunes, can I sync my ipod to my home computer and use the same library as the songs I downloaded to my office computer?

    You can't auto-sync an Ipod with multiple libraries. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:
    Using iPod with Multiple computers
    Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
    Syncing Music to iPod
    Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
    Songs you purchase on one computer can be loaded on the iPod and copied to the second computer if you wish, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

  • How do i have one account on two computers

    I am fixing to leave for college and my phone and ipod is synched onto my family desktop. I am wanting to change that too my laptop but still have all of my music using my mom's itunes account. PLEASE HELP!

    The iCloud service would only work if you had a wifi connection when you are traveling.  You could also use a flash drive to store your music.  Same concept.  I can see how a big hard drive would get a bit annoying, but since your iTunes library is relatively small.  You could just get a small 4GB flash drive.  That would work fine too.  That is your only option unless you want to transfer that data whenever you travel, which wouldnt be too big of a hassle really, right?  iCloud requires a Network connection to work.

  • Using one mouse for two computers

    Hello... I use the bluetooth mouse and keyboard that came with my iMac G5... I also have an iBook G4 that I'm using right now. I usually just use the trackpad, but sometimes would like to use a mouse. Can I just use the mouse from the iMac, or do I have to "unpair" it from the iMac first? I've tried to just bring it near the iBook and attempt to pair it, but the iBook doesn't recognize it.
    Thanks so much!!

    Hi..Try using the Bluetooth set up assistant .
    I don't think U need to un-pair it
    located in the "Utilities" folder in your macs "Applications" folder .Set up a wireless mouse on the laptop ..

  • I can use the same account on two computers?

    I can use the same account on two computers?

    You can use the same serial number on two computers, given the conditions in the end-user license agreement (You cannot have Lightroom using the same serial number in use on two computers at the same time, and both installations must be for your own personal use.)

  • Can I sync one iPhone via two computers (MacBook and Windows XP) using iTunes?

    My idea is the following:
    Sync one iPhone using iTunes installed on two computers:
    from Windows XP:
    * Outlook 2010 contacts
    * Outlook 2010 calendar
    * music
    from MacBook:
    * contacts
    OR
    from Windows XP:
    * Outlook 2010 contacts
    * Outlook 2010 calendar
    from MacBook:
    * contacts
    * music
    Can I do this?
    How would I have to do the set-up?
    Additional question: Can I buy apps from iTunes App Store on either of the two computers and having them downloaded automatically on the iPhone?

    You can't. You can only sync with one library at a time. I is possible, though not recommended, to sync contacts with one computer and media with another. There is no way to sync contacts with more than one computer.
    The best idea would be to sync it with your MacBook and the cloud, and sync Outlook on the PC with the cloud.
    Since iCloud requires Windows 7, you would probably be best to sync contacts and calendars with Google or Yahoo.

  • Use one account for apps and other for itunes match

    Hello everybody
    My question today is quite simple. I use one account for apps and tv shows, but inwant to use a different itunes account for purchasing itunes match. How can I use them both on my devices? Will it be asking for my user-pass each time i play a song? What other thing should i consider?
    Thank you in advance

    I would strongly recommend you not do this.  You will regret it.
    I have played with this issue a lot.  You have to remain signed into match in order for it to show up on your phone. If you sign out to purchase an app or redownload one from your appstore id you use then match will be removed from your phone and when you go into your music app the icloud will not be there.  You then have to go sign back out of the store id you used for your app purchase and then sign back into match and everything will have to go though the download to your device process again.  This really is not what you want to do.
    Sign up to match with the apple id that you know you will use the most or has the most purchased items and use that for all purchases, i.e. books, apps, movies, and music.  You don't want to go though the other process.
    Plus apple will start not letting you sign into match because you signed out and back in, in to short a period of time.
    all store purchases on an iphone are linked to the store id.  if you sign out of your match id on the appstore and sign into another account to purchase an app then itunes match will sign out in the music app.  You can't have two store id's signed into your iphone at the same time.  They are all linked together.

  • Multiple users using One account and issue making calls to 1-800-###...

    We have 15 volunteers who are using One account we set up for them. They login at the same time and need to make 1-800 calls (same number) concurrently. Right now, when you start pressing 800 all of sudden the display goes blank (cx300) and can't even finish
    entering the number. We have Lync 2010 and 2013 running together and most services moved to Lync 2013. Before we introduced Lync 2013 we did have this problem, but only intermittently. Now with Lync2013 it is consistent issue.
    What settings do I change?
    Do I need to create more accounts and assign Lync #s respectively?

    Hi,
    Would you please tell us what did you do with this scenario?
    Please check if there is any error message from Mediation Server and FE Server when the issue happen.
    Check if it is a performance issue, you can test to login the same Lync account with two users, make call concurrently. If it works work, it may be a performance issue.
    The best way is to create more account and assign to these users.

  • TLS cipher suites: Is there any Windows application that is using one of the two NULL cipher suites?

    My question is about these two standard cipher suites from Windows 7/8 (and Windows Servers):
    TLS_RSA_WITH_NULL_SHA256
    TLS_RSA_WITH_NULL_SHA
    Question: Is there any native Windows 7 application/process that must use one of these two ciphers?
    If not, I would simply kick them out to make sure that they are never used.
    Bonus question: Is there any reason to keep these on any Windows Server?

    Thank you for your response. I kicked out the NULL ciphers and everything weaker than 3DES. Consequently I also deactivated SSLv3 on five windows clients (computers and not servers, no server admin here). Rearranged the order of preference according to
    my needs. So far I don't experience any issues. Did the same with JRE many years ago (just kicked it out), now I lean back and enjoy the show.
