Using Orchestrator to read ConfigMgr collection then move AD accounts

Is it possible to use Orchestrator to read a ConfigMgr computer collection or maybe boundary group, then based on that read move the corresponding computer accounts in AD to a specified OU? What I am ultimately trying to accomplish is to move AD
computer accounts for machines on a specific subnet into a specified OU. I know this could probably be scripted. But, I'd like to know if it's possible through the method I described, and how it would be done?

So, now I have another issue. I have the workflow setup. But it keeps moving computers that are not part of the Config Man collection. When I put the runbook through the tester and do the step through it gets the exact number of computers
from the collection in the "Get Computer"step. But, when the workflow proceeds to the "Move Computer" step it starts moving computers totally unrelated. I have the Include filter on the link between "Get Computer"
and "Move Computer" set to "Get Computers returns success". I tried setting up Exclude filters on the Links. But, that does not resolve the issue.

Using mavericks, mail, and gmail and have been through the latest configuration recommendations (all mail is shown, etc.. When I drag a message from the inbox to a folder/label in mail it will reappear in the inbox briefly, then move to the destination folder. That odd bounce back to the inbox is amazingly annoying.

Whenever I dragged messages from my Apple Mail Inbox to the Apple Mail Archive Gmail All Mail folder, they were returned to my Apple Mail Inbox within a few minutes. I read a number of posts here, and fiddled with settings in Apple Mail and Gmail, and made a host of other changes until I was red in the face, but no luck.
Then I reasoned that DRAGGING the mail items might be the problem, so I conducted an experiment which showed that whenever I dragged items to new folders, Gmail was not updated with the new label, and so the mail ended up back in my inbox. Whenever I MOVED mail items by means of the menu system, the mail moved successfully. Therefore it appears that Apple Mail does not change the mail labels if the mail is dragged, hence the original problem.
With this information, I opened Apple Mail and Gmail (in a web browser) and manually reconciled the Inboxes with each other. Once they were identical, I then customized the Toolbar in Apple Mail to include the Archive Icon, to make moving mail from the Inbox to the Gmail Archive All Mail, easy.
This solved the problem for me.

Why not just connect the PC directly to the TC by ethernet and copy the files over?
It is hugely faster and much less mucking around.
In windows load the airport utility for windows.. if you have not already as this will help you access the drive.

You can directly install Mountain Lion 10.8.0 to 10.6.8, and then apply the 10.8.2 Update.

Both atv,s are on the same network, they are wirless and the computer can see them and they are named different.
what ever one i switch on first gets to stream from my computer and the other one asks for home sharing to be switched on, then if i switch both off and start the other one first it gets to stream and the other one which worked asks for home sharing to be turned on. i have hidden all functionality, netflix etc as these are for my 7yr old kids.

What's the easiest way to create a new VLAN and then move all existing devices to it?

One of our locations was implemented using VLAN1 as the main (native) VLAN. My goal is to create a new sub-interface on the router and then move all the existing switches (all Layer 2) into the new VLAN, without disrupting the network (and remotely). I am trying to determine the best way to proceed. Thanks.

I wanted to shed a little more light on the situation. The "new" VLAN has actually been in existence since the network was initially setup. The network runs VTP and the new VLAN already has an interface on the router and already shows up on all the switches when you do a "sh vlan" command. We have about 10 VLANs in all. In reality, I am simply trying to migrate about 8 switches from VLAN1 (which they never should have been on) to the new VLAN. I know that I need to create an interface for the new VLAN on each of the switches and then swap the management IP to that interface. If I could connectly directly into each switch via the console port, this would be a simple task. However, the switches are in extremely remote locations with special circumstances, thus I have no physical access to them. This fact has me a little reluctant to making the changes, as we can't afford any mistakes that would potentially cause network downtime. I am looking for some guidance on exactly the steps to take to achieve my goal. Let's call the new vlan, VLAN2. During testing, I logged into a local switch that was on VLAN1 (that's where it had it's management address). It did have VLAN2-VLAN10 as well, via VTP. I created an interface for VLAN3 on the switch and then accessed it via VLAN3 to swap the main management interface from VLAN1 to VLAN2. The changes took, but I couldn't access it via VLAN2. I am assuming this is because the router still has VLAN1 listed as the native vlan and the VLAN2 IP address is still assigned to VLAN1 on the router. What would be the best way for me to make the required changes on the 8 switches that need swapped, without losing remote access? It wouldn't hurt if the network went down for 5 minutes or less, but we can't have a big outage. Thanks.

I would bet a corrupted preference file could be at the root of the
problem. Log on as a different user. If it works then its a preference
file problem.

I see same question has been asked in the past with older versions of SCCM, BMC and Opalis...but would like to know if there are any specific benefits or advancements or even higher feasibility of implementing below, using Orchestrator
1) Data load: Load HW/SW Inventory from SCCM into BMC Remedy System. Is it even possible to load Asset Intelligence data so that both systems can correlate common data
2) Create a flow which connects both BMC remedy & SCCM using Orchestrator
a) End user to raise a request in BMC remedy system
b) Shoots an email to Assset Mgmt & Mgr etc for approvals
c) Record their approvals back (thru email or over webisite/url)
d) If approved to create an instruction (deployment) in SCCM for that system
e) Retrieve the status codes received by SCCM, if successful then short mails to user & service desk
f) Modify BMC Remedy Asset Mgmt for that software to reduce availability by one count
g) Close the ticket

Should I use orchestration

I am currently in the process of porting an existing application (Biztalk 2004) to a newer version of Biztalk. The current solution takes multiple types of EDI documents, modifies it if its necessary and sends it to our legacy system to be loaded and processed.
This process is developed using a combination of Receive Ports, Pipeline component, Send Ports and Maps, Schema and Message Queue Components. This solution uses 10 send & receive ports to handle various aspects of the process such as Bursting EDI into
individual messages, Transforming Messages, Error handling, Edi Validation and Batching of Edi Messages. All the modification of EDI is done using Message Queue Components.
This solution does NOT use orchestration at all. I am considering implementing the current solution as a Biztalk orchestration. I have read up a bit on orchestrations and worked thru few sample applications. But I am still very confused over what benefit
of using orchestration, if a solution can be developed without it. I am sure I am missing something here. What additional benefit orchestration gives that the current solution does not?

The use of Orchestrations are sort of religious when it comes to BizTalk desgin, so I'm just going to leverage what I think:
The use of Orchestrations is never a goal in itself. They should be used if required. In other words: If your integrations cannot be done through simple Content-Based Routing using Pipelines, Maps, Ports and Subscriptions then you start to look into Orchestrations.

Anyone using PrPro CS4/5 plus Corel DVD Movie Factory (Ex-Ulead)

Hi Folks,
I've been using Prem Pro for a while now and usually make my DVDs in Encore.
However, I recently wanted to use some rather good DVD menu templates that are standard in Ulead's DVD Movie Factory (Now taken over by Corel).
I imported my tapes into PPro, edited the footage as normal and output an avi file (via Adobe Media Encoder) using the presets "Microsoft avi files" and "DV Pal Widescreen".
Now here's my problem and hence the question: When I import the files into DVD Movie Factory, they show up as 4:3 instead of 16:9.
I've tried several versions of Movie Factory, 4,5 and 6 and also Corel Video Studio Pro X2. All give the same result.
Now if I import the original tape files (captured using PrPro) they show up as 16:9, it's only after editing in PPro and exporting via AME that they show up as 4:3.
Also, as an added twist, this only happens on long files.
I'm currently doing some tests and a 5 minute file exports OK but a 1 hour file turns into 4:3.
I'm not sure where the cut-off or changeover is as I'm still testing.
I did check with a friend who has just upgraded to CS5 and the problem is identical.
So I'm baffled. Is there some kind of problem with long files in AME or is there more than one method of marking files as 16:9, and Adobe uses a method not recognised by Corel or vice verse?
Any info or results of anyone elses experiments most welcome.

This really is a very, very common issue with standalone recorders.
The data rates they use are often very high indeed, and it can often result in discs being burned from them that will only play correctly on the machine they were made on.

And what are you converting with?
Remember the Adobe monitor is showing you the footage both in progressive scan format - ie, non interlaced, and additionally it's streaming directly off the drive, not from a written disc.
Once you get to disc, the rules all change - and this is where you will see the results of "conversion".
MPEG files are heavily compressed, and converting them to another compressed format will cause inevitable quality loss.
Can you please give some info on exactly what the structure is from the Sony, the file types, and if at all possible the data rates of your MPEG-2 files after conversion?
