Using OSS-user after leaving the company

Hello,
When you have an own OSS user id (by certification) and you leave the company, what is the status of that user id? Will it be legal or illegal to use that user-id for searching notes and downloading software after you left.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi,
I have the same question, because the previous company has the control,
Anyone with the same problem?
Thanks

need rights to archive mailboxes of users who leave the company. Can anyone tell me to which group should I get added so that I can have permissions to archive mailbox ?

    Hi,
    Here is a duplicate thread:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/383b75df-907d-4a86-8e62-86b2a4b00fb7/how-to-provide-an-exchange-user-permission-for-mailbox-archieve-?forum=exchangesvradmin
If you want to access other's archive mailbox, you need to grant full access permissions to user primary mailbox first, then you can see personal archive from Outlook side.

  • Best practise for SAP users who leave the company

    Hi
Could anyone reccommend a best practise document or give advice on how to deal with SAP user ID's when employee's/contractors/consultants leave? I am the basis admin just starting an SAP implementation and we have no dedicated authorisation team at the moment, so I have been asked to look into this :
Currently we set the validity date in SU01 to the termination date.
We chack there are no background jobs scheduled under that user id, if there are, we change the job owner to a valid user (we try to run all background jobs under an admin account).
We do not delete the user as from an audit point of view I believe it restricts information you can report on and there are implications on change documents etc, so best to lock it with validity dates.
    Can anyone advise further?
We are running SAP ECC 5.0 on Windows 2003 64 Bit/MS SQL 2000.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
Different people will tell you different versions of what they believe is best practice, but in my opinion you are already doing reasonably well.
    What I prefer is
    1. Lock ID & set validity date.
    2. Assign user to user group LEAVER or EXPIRED or something similar (helps with reporting) out of SUIM/S_BCE* reports.
    3. Delete role assignment (should you need it, the role assignment will be in the change history docs anyway).
    4. Check background jobs & act accordingly.
For ease of getting info I prefer not to delete the ID though plenty of people do.

  • Use of half months in the company code configuration after  Go Live

    Hi,
Our client has a requirement to activate the functionality of u201CUse of
half months in the company code configuration in Asset accounting after 3 month of Go live.
For the above purpose, we enabled the same in our Development server
(DE5) after Go Live and we are getting some Errors at the time of Asset
posting in F-90 and Asset Explore AW01N and even depreciation Run.
Already we ran 3 months depreciation without enabling this
functionality and now the client requires this in our Production server
before running the 4 period depreciation.
We are using the same Fiscal year variant (V3) at Depreciation area
level for all our company codes. All other company codes enabled this
functionality except one company code (NOPE) .
So the client requires this Half month depreciation calculation
Functionality in company code NOPE too.
Please advice to resolve this issue at the earliest and its quit urgent. We are using the same depreciation key, asset class in all company codes.
    Thanks
    Man
    Error details,
SYST: You cannot change the depreciation periods
    Message no. AA662
    Asset affected: 000016000025-0000
    Diagnosis
Processing terminated because the number of depreciation periods in
company code NOPE has been changed. However, you cannot change the
number of periods in your live (productive) system.
    Procedure
Change the depreciation periods back to the original value in company
code NOPE. The number of depreciation periods is determined by the
fiscal year version and the use of half-periods. At least one of these
    parameters was changed.
If you want to change your system so that you can now work with half-
periods, you have to use depreciation keys with time-dependent period
    control in that company code.
If you need to make general changes to the number of periods for
calculating depreciation per fiscal year, you will have to consult your
    system administrator

    hi
If you refer to SAP Note 2993, it is not possible to change to/from half
period. This is because the expired useful life are based on 12 periods
and the system is not able to change this to 24 periods.
To be able to change this settings under:
Asset Accounting>Valuation>Fiscal Year>Use of Half Months in the
    Company Code.
Company code must be in status  2 (Test company code with data transfer)
Once you have finished your legacy data transfer you should set company
code as productive to avoid this changes.
Regarding error AA662,  it occurs if you change the number of period
in the fiscal year version or the use of half-periods, after you have
    already posted to assets.
The cause is a different value in field ANLB-PERFY which
is the number of periods in the fiscal year.  If the number
entered here does not correspond to the number of posting periods
of the fiscal year used, the system raises error AA662 (except
for none posted areas for which ANLB-PERFY = 000 or areas
with depreciation to the date for which ANLB-PERFY = 365)
    If T093C-MONMIT = 15 (half periods), ANLB-PERYF = 012 is not
    correct. It should be 24.
Please note that changing the PERFY value will not be sufficient because
the expired useful life is calculated on base of PERFY. Thus PERFY has
to be adjusted and the expired useful life also.
    Blaz.

I have an iMac for work and I am leaving the company. How do I clear the computer so that my soon to be former company is unable to see my personal information Ie. - internet, contacts, etc...

Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
           A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
           B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
              1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
              2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
              3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
                  side.
              4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
                  sure to opt for that.
Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
                   startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
              1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
              3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
              4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
              5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See.What to do with iCloud before selling your computer
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
         A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
              1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
              2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
              3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
              4. Install OS X.
              5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
              6. Shutdown the computer.
         B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
it is three times faster than wireless.
              1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
                  Utilities window appears.
              2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
              3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
              4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
              5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
              6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
              7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
              8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.

  • TDS is Generating for employess who already leave the company

    Hi Experts
i have deducted the TDS of employee which are leaved the company in previos year but when runing report PC00_M40_F24 then its not showing for leaved employee.
    can anyone please help me?
    Regards
    Ratan

    Hi Ratan,
For form 24Q to be generated consistently, make sure you have done challan mapping correctly.
For form 24Q you have to use PC00_M40_F24Q and for challan mappin you have to use PC00_M40_CMAP.
For challan mapping help documentation you can goto:
Service.sap.com/HRIN -> Media Center -> Key Documents -> Challan Mapping. Once mapping has been done, data will appear in form 24Q as well.

Previous user has left the Company and is uncontactable. The company owned iphone is associated with thier account.
How do we provide POP to Apple for Apple to dissasociate the device form the previous users account?
    Thanks.

Without the previous user's ID and password, or getting him to remove the phone from his list of devices, the iPhone is useless. There is no workaround for this and certainly where individuals are concerned Apple cannot help.
I have seen a suggestion that Apple may be willing to do this in a corporate situation like the one you are in, but I've seen no confirmation of this. You have nothing to lose by contacting Apple and asking, but don't be surprised if you are told it can't be done. This is a security device and if it was possible to bypass it there would be no point in having it in the first place.

  • Whenever i use pencil tool after completing the fig. the color change ............

I am new to adobe flash cs3 . whenever i use pencil tool after completing the fig. the color changes to green .. even though the box indicates black  color ..

See if you have outline mode selected for that layer, or if you have it set for the file.
For the layer look at the last icon on the layer, the small square icon.  If it appears as a solid it is not in outline mode, if it appears as an outline of a square, click it to change it to be solid.
For the file level, in the main toolbar choose View -> Preview Mode -> and make sure Outlines is not selected.

  • HT201441 Hi, what if I don't know who had the device before.. I am working in a company, where we have a huge amount of iPhones and people come and go. When they leave the company, they turn in there phone after it has been erased and then that is it.

Now I have a stack of Iphones that I can't use and I don't have a track record of who had them.??
From a company point of view, it is not very smooth.

If you haven't kept records of who had what phone, or required the user to wipe the phone properly before returning it (maybe time to update your company policies), you'll have to contact Apple Support directly and provide proof of ownership for these devices.
Although there is no published process for getting devices unlocked, there have been reports that Apple can unlock corporate owned devices in situations such as yours, when device ownership is able to be proved.
In future, when someone returns a phone, make sure they go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings and enter their password for the process to complete. Then you'll have no problems.

  • Does Apple have a way to manage iTunes accounts on Corporate owned devices, meaning if someone leaves the company how does the company access the purchase apps as they are the owner of them.

Does Apple have a way to manage iTunes accounts on Corporate owned devices?  So, if someone leaves the Corp. how would the company have access to all purchased apps for any device.

If the apps were purchased using a corporate iTunes account, someone at the company should have the password. If they were purchased under a user's iTunes account, even though the device was owned by the company, the apps are tied to the user's Apple ID and do not belong to the company.

  • Detect/prevent when user is leaving the page

Is there any way from Flex to detect that the user is
attempting to browse away from the web page the swf is loaded on
    and prevent it?
I want to be able to warn the user that if they leave the
page before they save they will lose changes.
I am guessing no, but I am no guru so I thought I would put
    the question out here.
    Thanks.

  • Can't use local users after they are created

I have a mid '11 macbook pro, with OS X Lion w/ Server functionality installed on it from Apple, so far no third-party server apps/functionality.  I have been using Macs and *nix style systems for some time and haven't this specific problem before on lion or previous versions.  I have used the server app but never had any problems before.
Ok, so my actual problem: I create local user accounts, through the system preferences pane, configure parental controls and everything that needs to go along with the new accounts, have fast user switching enabled and can see the icon up in my status bar but it will not let me switch to another user account at all.  Even upon a fresh boot, I don't have a list of users or anything that might let me select anything other than my main admin account.  I do not want to keep using the local admin just because (for possible security reasons) and I am trying to allow family members access to the computer as well with these accounts and it just isn't working (with all known pertinant options checked).
Please help me with this, if there are any screenshots you would like I can provide you with necessary info.
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • How do I set up different icloud accounts for each family member and make them able to access them on our common mac using their user name on the mac.  I am doing this to make sure kids don't get access to our messages.

We have several apple products in the family.  I would like to set up different icloud accounts for each memeber.  I lately noticed having activated different devices with same icloud account that each device can access everyones messages by going in their settings and clicking which number or email they want to use to see messages.  Let me make sure I am understood, on my sons ipod in his messages settings he can switch to my cell number and see all my messages.  Re setting the devices isn't my great issue but can i set up each kids user account on my mac to their individual icloud accounts?
    Thanks!

Any devices connected to the same icloud account can sync all the data on that account.  For this reason an icloud account is really for a single user.
On a mac, if each user has their own account, then the itunes for that mac account should be set up to connect to that user's icloud account (System preferences>icloud).
