Using Pages as the email Editor in Mail

I find OS X Mail very limited in spelling error correction and grammar correction. Is there any way to use Pages as my email editor or would it be faster to learn how to spell?

Pages is a word processor, not a text editor, and Mail compose is not a Word processor in its capabilities. Apple Mail makes no provision for an external text editor, and I would advise against using copy/paste between Pages and Apple Mail. I find Apple Mail spelling and grammar checking adequate, when properly enabled.
In Apple Mail, you can enable Spell Check as you type (or before sending), and Check Grammar with Spelling. This would not let me type incorrect or incomplete words. For words that it does not know about, you right-click, and tell it to learn that spelling. People are basically patternistic, and draw from the same basic word choices in communication. You could also keep Apple's Dictionary app in your Dock, and refer to it as needed — I do.

Google them to confirm the settings that you need for the outgoing server, then check the setting you entered on the pad. Pay real close attention to the outgoing server name, and port. You may need to change in on the pad.

Yes, you can. Nearly all email software can do this. It involves creating two folders and a Rule for each folder.
Maybe call one folder Personal Mail, the other Work Mail (Apple Mail calls folders Mailboxes). One Rule would route all mail from your personal email account into the Personal Mail folder; the other Rule would route all mail from your work email account into the Work Mail folder. It's actually easy to do, all you have to do is click a few things and the rule is set up. Once the Rule is written you can also apply it to existing messages already downloaded to your Mac.
In Apple Mail, Rules are under Preferences > Rules. Follow the prompts to create a rule like this:
If = Any
Account = my Personal account (select the name of your personal email account)
Perform the following actions: Move Message to Mailbox = my Personal Mail (select the name of your Personal Mail folder (aka mailbox))
This rule says, "take any message that comes in from my Personal Account and move it to my Personal Mail mailbox (folder)"
Create a similar rule for your Work email.

Welcome. I am using Photoshop CS5 and this works fine for me. Possibly Adobe has changed this in CS6. Hopefully, LarryHN will have further suggestions. Best.

Share pages doc via email with chrome mail client

When choosing to share via email I see my mail client listed (chrome webmail) however when I select the format I want to email and select it nothing happens!
Any thoughts or solutions (using native mail app is not an option at work - need to use the chrome browser and email due to working practice).
Also sharing iCloud link via mail doesn't seem to work either!
I am using the latest Yosemite update, latest Pages 5 version.

Pages v5.5 for Yosemitie saved its documents in one format type: package (folder). Unless these are purposely compressed into a .zip (single file solution), they are incompatible with non-Apple user mail agents. By default, Pages v5.5.1 will save in single file (Apple terminology) format which is this compressed zip format, but with the .pages file extension. Just like the default in Pages ’09. It is compatible with non-Apple mail and storage solutions.
I mention this because your issues may be related to using Pages v5.5, instead of Pages v5.5.1.
Pages v5.5.1 has a File > Advanced > Change File Type > Single File menu item that should allow you to convert (in place) Pages v5.5 documents originally written in the incompatible package format. It you choose the Package style on this submenu, it can be opened by Pages v5.2.2 on Mavericks — something that didn't work with Pages v5.5.

Why can't I use and in the email address on my iPhone?

When in email address input mode, on iPhone, the < and > are not available. These characters are used to indicate an email address when a name is used as well. For example.... John Smith <[email protected]> This will add John Smith and his email address to my contact list, not on my phone, but in my email. Please tell me this will be possible when iOS7 comes out.

For now, the only way to do this is to go to the body of the email, enter the info John Smith <[email protected]> cut and paste it into the email address location.

You should be able to delete an email account from the iPad by selecting it on the right-hand side of Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then tapping the Delete Account button on the popup, and there should also be an Add Account button on the right-hand side of that Settings screen

Q using ease in the motion editor

I really like the motion editor in CS4. A lot is easier than before, particularly working with ease. But I wounder how you use the custom curve when having a complicated motion with a lot of keyframes. In programs like AE it's easy to select a key and tell if it's going to be a easy in/out or both, and then I select next key and tell how that key should ease. In Flash CS4 I allways get a easy curve that range the entire tween. Is the workflow to brake everything apart so you tween every single motion, or is it another way doing it?

What you're needing to do is ease between keyframes. There is one way of doing this for spatial properties (X, Y, Z properties), and two ways of doing this for all other properties (such as blur, rotation, etc). This blog post explains how to do it:

In a nutshell, if you are doing eases for any property that is not X, Y or Z, simply smooth the curve in/out from the property keyframe in the graph. You will need to use a custom ease for X, Y, and Z.
As for all the keyframes in the custom ease (assuming you still need it), there isn't a way to avoid that if you have that many keyframes that you need to ease in and out from. However, there is a "snapping" feature in the custom ease graph (described in the article above) that may help you place each keyframe and after you get used to it, working with the graph may end up easier.

How do I clear the email addresses from Mail memory auto-fill?

I am constantly getting emails back from people I didn't mean to email, thanks to the auto-fill option in my email. I don't mind mail remembering the people in my address book, but not EVERYONE I've ever sent or received an email from. Does anyone know how to clear the cache in my mail memory?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

I want to copy only the email address from Mail, not the name and email

When I get an email I want to be able to copy ONLY the email address and NOT the name.
Before I would click on an email, click on the email address and paste the email address to a list.
Now I do that and I get the name AND the email address, which makes me edit out the name every time. UGH.

Why is the "From:" field being changed in Mac Mail. I have multiple gmail accounts setup and it seems to change the "FROM" field even though I've selected which account to use to send the email.

This becomes apparent when the person replies to my message and it goes to the wrong account

Check you accounts in Mail and make sure each account has the correct outgoing server address. Check the box to use only that server.
Second, go to the gmail website and in settings under the account tab, make sure you have the correct settings for replying to messages.

Using Attachments in the Email Adapter

I'm using an email adapter(Sender - XIPayload) to send message to XI. It was working fine when my mail content was the XML messsage. But now i have to use the content of an attachment file to do the mapping. The attachment is an XML file. I have checked the Keep attachments option and now i can see that the payload contains two sections. One is the mail content and the attachment content. But the mapping fails. How can i specify that the content of the attachment is to be used for mapping? Can somebody give some inputs on how to achieve this?

Hi Sandeep,
To use attachments in mail adapter, just do the following things:
- Set the Keep Attachments indicator.
- And you use the PayloadSwapBean module to swap the application payload with one of the attachments.
