Using Pages to produce mailing labels

I love the way Address and Pages work together but was disappointed in not finding a template for the mailing labels we have done in Word. Am I missing them? Any plugin for Avery 5160 labels?

Welcome to Apple discussions.
You can use all your old Word templates in Pages, or you can download new ones from the Avery site.
Having said that, you might just want to print out your labels from Address Book. Works great.

Using Address Book for mailing labels

I know how to use the address book for mailing labels, but when I went to print I had children's names appear on the labels. Is there a way to request souces, but not children. In other words can you select specific information to appear on the labels. Or do you have to go into address book and delete the kids names. Any advice would be great.

There are several 3rd-party applications which will print mailing labels from your address book data and give you greater control of what is printed.
Roll Call Directory and Imprint have both been mentioned.
I don't know how they handle linked cards, so if you try either you might let us know.

Can I use Page to print address labels

I switched to a mac and used to print labels for my homeade wine using print shop or word. I used avery self-adhesive lables and printed 8 of the same label on each page. Can Page be set up to do the same thing?

If you did that in a Word document try opening it in Pages.

The application Contacts holds all your addresses and telephone, email etc details.
It has a comprehensive set of Avery labels in its print dialog.
You select the Contacts or groups of Contacts you want to print then in the Print dialog click on Show Details where you can choose Style : Mailing labels and choose which labels you want.

I want to print an entire page of mail labels using 1 address and repeating the same address for all labels on the page. Does anyone know how to do this?

Having a print problem on a mailing label report using the merge modules.

Crystal Reports 2008 v 12.1.6.1116
when I print directly from Crystal Reports designer, the labels print correctly. If I print the report from our application software using the Crystal merge module, the top of page margin is not the same.
I am using Crystal Report 2008 Fix Pack 1.5 Merge Modules.
Any idea what might be causing this ? I do not see any settings in the CrystalReportViewer that would cause the top of page margin to change.
Note: We were using a previous version of Crystal Reports, version 11 using the merge modules and it worked just fine. After changing to the 2008 merge modules we are running into this problem.

       The mailing label report works just fine printing directly from the Crystal Reports 2008 Design application. However is I try to print the exact same report using the CrystalReportViewer in the merge module, the top of page margin is different. Basically printing from the designer, there is some spacing at the top of the page, printing in the vb.net app the spacing at the time of is missing.

Can Pages Print Mailing Labels?

I have a number of clients that currently use mail merge on their PC's in Office 2003 to print mailing labels. Their biggest issue has been getting this to work painless, as theres always some sort of file compatibility issue or what they see on the screen is not what they get in print form.
Can Pages do a 'mail merge' or similar to print mailing labels easily? Is there any way to print mailing labels from an address book stored on the Mac? If so do you need to manually enter label sizes or is there a list of compatible brand labels (such as Avery) like Word has?
A few of my clients would consider switching over to a Mac if daily tasks like this were more painless then using Office on a PC. You would think after all these years someone would be able to make this simpler.

Pages 2 can do mail merge using data in Address Book, but it appears to be intended to use in form letters & envelopes & prints one record per page not for printing a page of labels.
But, there is no need to use Pages for the labels. Address Book in Tiger will print labels directly. There are several printing options in the Print dialog - labels, envelopes, lists or pocket address book.

Mailing Label and Blank Page

Hi,
I created a mailing labels report using Report 10g. When I run the report with format RTF and open it in Word, the first page if great, but then it inserts a blank page, followed by the third page being correct.
Is there any way to delete the blank page?

this might be caused by MS word. check the page settings and the margin settings word assumes when you open the document.

Mailing labels + pages = yikes!

Being able to create your own address book fields so you can instantly drop contact info from your address book is great. But what about creating mailing labels or place settings without having to hand type each individual box (i.e., why address book fields rock)?? If you merge your address book into a pages document or try to drag and drop multiple contacts or select groups, each contact is on an entirely separate page.
Sure, you can drag and drop multiple cards in an "enabled" address book field, but the contact info pops up an additional page each (ex: 3 contacts merged = 3 pages total). What if you like using the address book fields but want to create address labels or placeholder cards all together on ONE page (Like in address book, but more customizable features included with Pages)?? Somebody, anybody please *help me*, I feel like I've tried everything (copying and pasting, changing the field from sender to recipient, carousing the inspector...)! Any tips would be much appreciated.
Make me a believer in address book fields again!

How do I do a mail merge from my iCloud contacts within outlook to create mailing labels for a family newsletter? It used to be so easy before I started using iCloud for my contacts. When I select the contacts I'd like to use for the mail merge, outlook brings up the standard dialog box to hvae me create the mail merge file, but when I click OK after checking all the right boxes, nothing happens. Mm, yes, if you mean Address Book. Difficult… but, conceivably, doable.

Eminently possible in Pages. Get a template (or employ the one used with MS Word) and look up Merge Fields in the Pages user guide.

How do I find the setup for mailing labels on Pages

I cannot find the place on Pages to set up labels. I use Avery labels and there is no icon once I go to Pages for setting up labels. Thanks

Use Contacts or Address Book. The Avery labels are part of the Print dialogue.
If you want to use Pages, it depends on the version. Pages 5 has merging removed, recently patched with an AppleScript which is a bit fiddly.
Pages '09 merges from Numbers Tables or Address Book data.
In either case you will need to open an Avery label Word template from their website and fill in the Labels which are individual Textboxes.
