I have an account where everything gets put onto my credit card. I now have an itunes gift card. Is it possible to make a purchase for "applications" instead of using the account I already have??

Redeem the gift card when signed into your account; the balance on it will then be used instead of charging the credit card, unless you're purchasing software in Canada.

I have a Canadian apple ID and password andhave used ITunes cards in the past when in Canada to purchase music and download to my computer. I reside in the U.S. for several months each winter and just purchased an ITunes card here in Arizona. When I tried to purchase music on the Itunes store it would not accept the ITunes card as it said it was associated with a Canadian account. If I open an account on the U.S. itunes store and download music to my computer will I still be able to transfer that music to my Iphone without losing any of my existing music??? ?Thanks for your replies. Using an iTunes card to purchase multiple copies of an ITunes item

Does anyone know of a way to purchase multiple copies of an app using an iTunes card for a single account? I know that Apple offers a volume purchasing program however all items are not available in the program such as books and videos. I am open to legal suggestions if this is not possible.

The MAS is a complete mess for non-individual purchases. I handle most of the Apple purchase orders at my college and for digital distribution via the MAS the key is number is a quantity of 20 or more.
First of all, you should have some kind of contact within Apple's NZ Education Sales department. If not, you should find out who that is.
For FCPX, if you need three copies, you need to create three individual Apple IDs and make three separate purchases. This is absolutely asinine, but that's how it's setup. Even better, in America, there's no way to become tax exempt, so they charge us tax and then we have to request a refund, where they then mail us a paper check.
If you want 20 or more copies of anything, I contact my Edu sales rep and get a quote for it, then we pay via purchase order. Then we receive an E-Mail with individual MAS redemption codes for the number of licenses we ordered. Then you just redeem one code, download the app, and deploy it out, either through ARD (Apple Remote Desktop), or however else you want to.
So in summary, try to order 20 or more of anything. Once you hit 20 there's a price break of roughly 50% and your Apple NZ Edu sales rep should have a PDF of their Edu product matrix pricing. If you order less than 20 of a product, it's a huge pain in the ***. Establish one centralized MAS Apple ID, or at least one per dept. For example: [email protected] (music dept's redemption account). Redeem one code for whatever App you've purchased, deploy the rest out however you prefer and just keep track of the amount of licenses you've used vs. the amount you've ordered.

Then purchase iTunes gift cards which you can redeem from the iTunes Store to make purchases. Be aware, that the None option is not available in all counties.

I couldnt redeem w/o an apple ID so when i did it asked for a credit card. And I want to discontinue and remove my account from itunes but it wont let me, there is no account discontinue or removal of account

My crashing has seemed to have ceased with a revert to an older version. I noticed today that the newer crashing iTunes had been launched for hours but not playing anything, when I played internet radio it crashed within 5mins, fed up I reverted to an older version.

Then it says you can use store credit. How elese would you get store credit other than a itunes gift card? Maybe there is a quasi answer. Yes you can use existing store credit before you sign up for account, but not actually during the checkout. At times thru the year apple will rune utunes $25-$50 gift cards on sale for 20% off. Usually when a new iPhone comes out. I just bought a $50 gift card for $40. Xmas I guess.
