i bought an ericsson pc card GC83 and have been unable to get support from Cingular. Anyone know how or what to do to get it to work with MAC OSX on Powerbook G-4? Thanks. A converted pc user still a bit lost.

check the sony ericsson website. You'll probably find a better answer there than Cingular.

A friend used her Dell to access our wireless router. She entered the router number on her pc, and it asked for the administrator. Using the Aiport Express as a Wireless Access Point on Windows XP

I would like to use my airport express as a wireless access point so that it will connect wirelessly to my router and via an Ethernet cable to my laptop that does not have a wireless card. Also, I have a laptop that I don't have admin rights to, so I can't install the airport express software. I do have another computer in which I am able to set things up on, but ultimately I would like to use the Ethernet port on the airport express as a DHCP device that once configured it will automatically connect to my laptop even after powering off and on any machine with DHCP. I believe that this can be done - but correct me if I am wrong.
So far, I have been able to get the airport express to connect to my router, but I can't seem to get the intenet connection on my laptop. Can someone help? Does the software have to be installed to work even after it is configured?

I have successfully gotten my AX to connect to my wireless router via the wireless client mode, but I can't seem to get the network connection to come out the either net jack of the AX.
Unfortunately, the wireless client mode will not activate the Ethernet port. The purpose of this mode is to connect to an existing wireless network as a client (just like any other device connecting to the network) and be able to either/or stream iTunes or share a USB printer.
The only mode where the Ethernet port is enabled, would be to configure the AX as either a relay or remote base station in a Wireless Distribution System (WDS). But, unfortunately, your Belkin wireless router may not be WDS-compatible with the AirPorts.
Again, the only Belkin routers, that I'm aware of that are compatible are the F5D7230-4 & F5D7130.

Error while Accessing Smart Card using Open Card Frame Work

Using Open Card Frame work I am trying to access GemAlto provided Smart Card (java card). I downloaded the Open Card Frame work from http://www.openscdp.org/ocf/download.html.
I am executing a basic program to access the data stored in smart card.

Do you have another router? If not, then the TC must be connected to the modem by Ethernet cable for you to have a network.

Used credit card, now cannot access previous account balance

I have always used iTunes cards to buy things, but for one purchase I had to use a credit card. I entered in the information and bought the item, but when I later went to make a purchase iTunes with my iTunes card (I had still had money on it when I used the credit card), it wouldn’t show that I had money left and asked me to enter credit card information.

Having exactly the same problem with a TP which hasn't been used for some time as it decided to pretend I had no internet connection &, after leaving it to go dead flat & need reawakened, I now find I cannot complete registration without connecting to my webOS account. Keep getting BS on the Touchpad telling me it doesn't exist when I'm looking at the details on my PC screen.

X220 - Access Connections Wireless issue - Driver disconnected while associating

I am trying to connect to our wireless network at work. I have verified that my settings are correct with the other X220s that we have connecting to our network. When the connections fails and I select "help me fix this" I get four error messages.
Thanks in advance if anybody has any ideas.

I share your pain with same Intel WiFi Link 1000 bgn. After many, many hours yesterday I am now solidly running Wireless N at 144 Mbps on a LinkSys E4200, 99% reception from 30 feet away.
Previous to yesterday I could not get 'N' to work at all.
First, if you have a newer dual frequency Router, this Intel adapter only supports 2.4ghz..
1. I am using Access Connections 5.85, Windows 7
2. Router: 2.4 Ghz Network Mode: Mixed
3. On my LinkSys router Channel: Auto NEVER worked for either 'G' or 'N'. I picked channel 4 by chance and things got better. No further experiments.
3. Channel Width: Auto (20mhz or 40mhz).
4. Earlier forums indicate WPA2-P and AES must be selected. That's what I am running.
5. Numerous references to "power" conflicts. Set all Power Management to Maximum Power.
(Control Panel -> Device Manager ->Network Adapters -> Intel WiFi Link 1000 bgn -> Power Management)
(Access Connections -> Wireless Settings -> 4. Advanced Configuration-> Maximum Performance)
If you followed these steps, Wireless G should be working stabily for you now.

Save the instructions! For some reason my EDGE 14 wireless totally quit this week and that's what sent me down this wireless rabbit hole again. At least this time I was able to make N mode work for the first time.

This is stupid.my monthly plan is almost done so i went to my Verizon app to add airtime and it is declining my card.so i decided to use the 800#to add air time.the declined my card as well because apparently i used my card to many times in one month ...this is sooo dumb is there any way around this?

I want to take old emails from one user account to another. Can't access 'net with old user account.

My computer was infected some time back, and the only way I could use most programs was to set up a new user account. Now I want to retrieve some old emails and move them to my new account, but can't seem to make it happen. F/fox opens under old a/c, but can't access 'net so I can't forward them. I tried putting them into a folder, putting it on a USB drive and dragging that into 'fox in my new a/c, but it won't open. I am using Win XP.

He will run into a problem when he wants to use his own account. Some apps will have been purchased on one Apple ID and other apps will have been purchased on a different Apple ID. That's a nuisance situation when the apps need updating and, unfortunately, there is no resolution at the present time (IDs can not be combined).

Internet drop outs on my G5 since I use a wired router instead of wireless

Hi guys!
I used to have wireless internet at home (1 x G5 & 2 x windows laptops). Internet worked fine and fast. Although I couldn't get all computers into a internal network (for easy sharing files...), but that's not the issue now.
Anyway, I have a new roommate in the house that doesn't have wireless on his windows pc. So, I connected all computers to a 4 ports router. I ditched the whole wireless thing because I couldn't get it working together with the wired router thing. So all computers are linked to the router by cable.
Now, at first everything worked fine. All computers had internet and I even had my long awaited network so that I could share files at high speed between computers (mac - windows). Suddenly, I guess after a couple of hours, my mac started having difficulties finding the network. At times I have no internet, or it takes looooooooooooooong to load up webpages and sharing files with my windows laptop takes like 6hours for 3giga (which normally is done in a couple of minutes). My windows laptop has no problem with internet, no drop out no nothing, everything works fine (except sending files to my mac which also takes hours...).
Anybody knows what to do?
Also anyone knows if the following is possible:
- cable comes in my house (WAN)
- goes to wired 4port router
- from the router 1 wire goes directly to a pc
- from the router another wire goes to my wireless accesspoint which then would be used to connect 1 or more wireless pc's.
- with all that, I'd like to have internet on all computers AND have a fully working network between all computers (mac and windows)
Anyone knows if this is possible?

The wireless access point is a D Link Airplus G+ 2.4Ghz. It has no extra ethernet ports.
I also thought of having a wireless router with extra ethernet ports. But of course this would mean another cost... I was hoping that I could fix it with the things I allready own.
But, nevertheless, there might be a little change in things as I just tried connecting with the second ethernet port on my mac. Haven't had any problems yet (+/- 10minutes). Am gonna try to send big files to my laptop in order to test the speed between them.

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.
