Using pc to phone software with the router
I have a wrt54gl v1.0 router through which i connect the net. i want to use a phone to pc software which mentions to make some entries in the router so tht an internet ip is availble to make and receive calls.

well it is possible to use the Phone to Pc software along with the router.
And the settings which is required for this is, you will have to open the ports for this software in the router in order to use it.
For this you will have to first get the Port Numbers for this software, which you can get from the Phone people. You then connect one of the Pc to the router and log into the setup page of the router with http://192.168.1.1 username leave blank and the password is admin. On the setup page under the Applications and Gaming screen you can open the ports given to you and the ip address asked would be the ip address of the Pc which has the software installed on it. You can check the ip address of you Pc from start >run > cmd and ipconfig in the command prompt.
Also under the security tab disable the Block Wan Request. ......

You may have debris in your headphone jack blocking the sensor. Try blowing hard on the jack, and inserting/removing your headphones quickly multiple times to clear it.

First , I have been with Mac for many years ( 14 to be exact ) I do have some knowledge and understanding of Apple product .
At the present time I'm having lots of problems with the router so I was looking in to some info , and come across one web site regarding : port forwarding , IP addresses .
In my frustration , amongst lots of open web pages tutorials and other useless information , I come across innocent looking link and software to installed called Genieo , which suppose to help with any router .
Software ask for permission to install , and about 30 % in , my instinct was telling me , there is something not right . I stop installation . Delete everything , look for any
trace in Spotlight , Library . Nothing could be find .
Now , every time I open Safari , Firefox or Chrome , it will open in my home page , but when I start looking for something in steed of Google page , there is
''search.genieo.com'' page acting like a Google . I try again to get raid of this but I can not find solution .
With more research , again using genieo.com search eng. there is lots of articles and warnings . From that I learn do not use uninstall software , because doing this will install more things where it come from.
I do have AppleCare support but its to late to phone them , so maybe there some people with knowledge , how to get this of my computer

hopefully moving over tomorrow to the new up to 20Mb connection.. question is ..will the HH phone work with the new router that Bt have sent out for the new connection ? Doesn't appear to be anywhere to connect to the new router like the HH which you can connect it to on the front .. so can it connect wirelessly using the power adapter ??None of the BT HH phones will work with the 2700HGV.

Am considering buying a Time Capsule. But all specs I read about it (re: printing) is how to hook up a printer via USB connection. Need to confirm...that a wireless printer will work with the router feature of the Time Capsule. I assume yes...?
A wireless printer connects to the network just like your computer, or iPhone/iPad, etc. connects using wireless.
The printer must be set up intially to scan to "find" available wireless networks, then your specific wireless network needs to be selected. Then the password for the network needs to be entered.
Once the printer is configured to join the network, it is always connected to the network. No further configuration is required. -

Does anyone have a Motorola T 501 speaker phone working with the I Phone 3 G in the car? If you do? Can you tell me how I can answer the calls from the T501, and not have to answer from the iphone, as right now it doesn't seem to be working correctly, unless I am doing something wrong?
ThanksI have the Motorola T505 speakerphone which I too am using. And no, it doesn't work correctly either. It seems I have to answer the iphone first and then the call is transferred to the speakerphone. I do end the calls with the speakerphone but that's it. I also found that the Motorola no longer announces the incoming call and I've lost certain voice commands.

I am using Aperture 3 now and I love it. But I would like to purchase or download perhaps some freeware, easy to use photo imaging/editing software with more filters, perhaps layering etc. I don't want something with a very steep learning curve, getting to old for that. My Apple mentor suggests Pixelmator or Gimp ? Are there some others out there? When I was still in the Windows world, I used Photoshop Elements but that is now in my past. Any ideas?
Pixelmator or Gimp are both nice tools for advanced image processing and compositing. I.e. Gimp can do pretty much the same as Phtoshop. You might also have a look at digikam http://www.digikam.org/drupal/download/binary
Digikam is not just an advanced image processing and compositing program, it is also content management system like Aperture or iPhoto.
I also find GraphicConverter a nice tool, but it is not free.
If you want your image editing tools to integrate well with Aperture, I would look first at the available plug-ins, start with the plug-ins offered in the Aperture pull-down menu

However, does this mean my purchases will be split into 2 accounts; or does the fact that I currently see everything under my apple id (regardless of the purchased by username) mean this will all still appear in my current account as it does now?You see them where when you login your non-AOL account ?
If you currently have two accounts (the AOL username account and an email address account) then you will continue to have two accounts, and nothing should change when you update the AOL account to be an email address (apart from how you access that account).
You will just be renaming the account to have an email address for accessing it, not creating a new account. -

ThanksYes you can use two (or more) AppleTVs with one iTunes library. They can both stream from iTunes (or the internet) at the same time, as long as you have a good working LAN and internet connection.

I have two Macs, connected through WLAN. From each Mac I can use Mail (sending and receiving) with the same mail address. This worked well; on each Mac I have separate files storing the mails (input, sent, trash, …).
Some days ago I had to change the provider. (Perhaps this may be the reason for my problem?) Now both mail systems are connected - in the way that if I put on Mac *1 a mail into the trash it is automatically thrown into the trash on Mac *2.
What is to be done to separate the two systems (i. e. make them independent of each other)?

I have lightroom 5.7. Now I have apple TV to connect my Mac to the TV scree. I wish to do a slide show on the TV. However, on the Mac, using ITunes to share photos with the TV, I cannot locate all photo files. What is the best way to save the slide show and put it where the Mac sharing can find it? So far, I made on one folder in Lightroom, put some photos there and I found them easily. Can this be done with a slide show? Please help quickly! Also worried that the photos I put on the new folder are hard to find afterwards, when the show is done. Where do they go when I delete from from the new folder?I am not alone
Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

I did a full system restore to my phone along with the new 7.0 update. Now I went to restore my phone setting back through Itunes and it goes through all the steps but when it is completed it wont get past the "Connect to Itunes" screen
