Using photo album page to connect to movie page

I wanted to create movie pages, but put them under an album page so I could group several video pages and not have all the movie pages listed in the top links. The movie frame is displayed on the album page correctly, but after it is published it doesn't work properly. When I click on the movie frame it will play the wrong video from a different page even though it is displaying the text from the right page. I've made several movie pages and it rarely plays the right video. Has anyone else tried this?

So, I tried loading 1 movie in My Album and uploaded it to my .mac.
Worked fine.
Then added a 2nd movie to My Album.
Only one of the movies worked for the two.
So, then deleted My Album, used a blank page and created a table of contents linked to several movie pages.
Didn't work. Only one movie played for all.
Still looking for a solution.

Movies on photo album page not working correctly

I have movies on some photo album pages, and only since updating to Snow Leopard, when I click on a movie, the sound begins to play, but the picture sticks on the poster frame. If I go "back to album" and click the movie again, it will usually play normally. What gives? Anyone else have this happening?

I have a similar problem with movies. Put a movie made on the iphone into a space holder place on a Blog page. Got the green plus sign and it played on the page.
After publishing I see the first frame on the main blog page, but when I click read more to see the movie and whole blog entry I get a faded quicktime symbol with a question mark symbol in the middle.

Vertical Pictures Cut Off in Photo Album Page

On my photo albums page, the picture I want to use as the first picture is a vertical picture. But on the albums page, the albums are all horizontal. So when someone goes to look at my albums page, they just see these cut-off pictures with heads missing. Is there a way to change the orientation of the albums so they are vertical? Or is there a way to edit the first picture so that you can move the picture down so at least the head is showing in the horizontal view?

Hi Kara,
the only solution I can find is to drop a vertical photo into the MyAlbums page and cover the album with it (thus hiding the other head-less photo) linking that photo to the photopage.
However this will cause the effects moving the pointer over the album cover (skim, dissolve, ...) to disappear.
As far as I know albums can't be rotated and vertical photos are cut off and you can't tell iWeb not to cut them off...

iWeb has no Italian version.
The language setting on your computer determines the language that is used.
Change the language settings on your computer or use this :

IWeb 09' photo album page cannot be displayed on IE7/8

I have created a photo album page with iWeb 09'. Publish to a folder and test on Windows system (IE6/7/8). All photo frames cannot be displayed, but just the title and some text. The page is blank afterwards with background colour only. Firefox for Windows is fine. Anything I can do as there is no other option for export / publish webpage to folder...... thanks a lot.

I am trying to make a web site using i web with several different photopages. I am using an albums page but the default display for the album covers is landscape. Can anyone tell me how to make them portrait so my pictures on the album cover are not cropped?

this sounds to me ridiculous. This has to be considered as bug, not limitation as I am allowed to put pictures in portrait to my "Pictures"-template site. How can I contact Apple regarding this issue as on their support page they seem to hide the way to contact them in case of troubles... Bad customer care Apple...

Need help editing scanned images of old photo album pages PSE 9

Before I begin this project, I thought I'd get some advice from someone who has undertaken a similar project. I have three photo albums from the 50's and 60's. The albums were made by my mother who mounted the photos (mostly black and white but some color photos) on construction paper (of various colors) using the corner holders or glue. She hand cut the construction paper so each page is not a perfect rectangle ( about 11" tall, 8.5" wide). The pages were punched and put into a three-ring binder.
She added text to the edge of the photo and/or to the construction paper. Each page contains one to 6 photos and text. Each album has about 120 pages. I want to keep the notes on the construction paper so I scanned each page into a TIF files, 400 dpi and stored the images in a separate folder for each volume.
I use (poorly) PSE 9. I see it has a auto straighten/crop feature that can be used one photo at a time. I tried the divide scanned images function and that did not fully separate all images on the page and also created an image for stray objects on the page such as an unused corner holder. (I know those things have a better name but it escapes me now.)
I plan to create photo books for my siblings. I am now thinking of cropping the image of each page (rather than each photo on the page) into a uniform size, adjusting levels, contrast and sharpness, saving this image to a JPEG file, and using these edited JPEG images to create the photo book. Since each page was hand-cut, there will areas of white where one page was torn or cut smaller than another page. Some pages will have blanks where old photos have been lost leaving behind only the corner things. It won't be perfect but it will be an image of the album as it exists today.
My questions are:
The pages are about 11 by 8.5. Does anyone know a photo service that prints photo albums in a portrait layout in this size? I have been unable to find one; it looks like most online photo books are wider rather than taller.
Let's assume I use a company such as Shutterfly that offers a 12x12 format. I assume it would be better to edit the images in PSE9 rather than any online software. What should I do to keep the proportions in the current images true but make the image fit a 12x12 page, for example?
IS there any other editing software anyone can recommend that will speed this up, hopefully a software that would take multiple photos at one time, auto-straighten and auto crop to a set size? And also auto contrast/level/sharp. If I could use such auto features on these images and then go back and adjust the photos that did not play well with the auto features, that would save me time.
I appreciate anyone's input. I dread doing this but we have one set of photos and 5 siblings so it has to be done. Thanks!

Mentioning your issues one by one:
1) PSE does not have any portrait Photobook available, so your thought was the best way to get the work done is by choosing the 12x12 - shutterfly one.
2) PSe does a good job of editing the images. You can set your images of approx. 11x8 size to fit to the 12x12 page. Just choose a one photo page Layout for the page and then right click on the image to " Fit photo in the frame".
3) If more edits are required for the image, you can easily go to Advanced mode and edit your photos, layouts, move the frames, images or add effects to the images.
4) Photo book creation sure takes time. because, you want it to be the best. I am sure PSE would help you best here.
Go ahead and create you photobook. Inc ase you get stuck somewhere, you can always post here to get help!

Photo album page won't publish in Go Daddy but does on Mobile Me...?

Created a photo page (from an iWeb template) which publishes properly in Mobile Me, but when published to a Go Daddy account, the photo album portion is blank. The "Play Slideshow" button is there, but no photos. Familiar to anyone else?

Lots of people (including me) are having problems with both photos and the navigation bar not working when we use the built in FTP server of iWeb. I haven't found an answer yet.

Is There a Way to Have Multiple Photo-Album Pages?

... specifically by duplicating a current album page. I have an Album page with 13 albums on it, which makes for slow loading.
I was thinking of breaking it into 3 Album pages. The easiest way, it would seem, would be to duplicate the existing Album page twice and then deleting the Albums I didn't want on each page. But Duplicate is grayed out for the Album page. Is starting from scratch the only way to have a 2nd or 3rd album page?
It also doesn't seem to be possible to copy an album so it can pasted on a new Album page.

Just as Cyclosaurus pointed out if you drag a photos page from an existing album page onto the icon of a new, empty album page that photos page will be transferred/moved to the new album page and the captions will be maintained.
Give it a try and if it doesn't do what you expect just quit iWeb without saving any changes.

Cannot find pic shown on main "Photo Albums" page''

Going into "Photos" brings up the "Photo Albums" main page.
Along the Left side, there is a small picture for each of the Albums (Typically the first picture in that album).
For "Camera Roll" a picture is shown that does not exist in "Camera Roll" or any of the albums on the phone. (Noting that It was a picture taken with the phone).
The picture is a good picture that I want to save on my computer.
Is there any way to do this?

You might need to reset and or restore the iphone to resolve any software issues.

Create Template for Photo Album Pages

I'm starting a project that involves creating a Web photo
album. However, there are special formatting rules I need to
institute for the individual pages I create in the photo album. Is
it possible to create a template for these pages (the pages you go
to when you click on the thumbnail on the contact sheet) rather
than going in and applying css files and other items after they've
been created?
Any help is much appreciated.

Using photos/albums from Elements 3.0 in 10.0

I've been using Elements 3.0 and have thousands of photos and numerous albums. Just installed Elements 10.0. How do I get 10 to "see" all photos/albums in 3.0?

Maximum # of photo album pages in a "My Album" page

I have 8 albums on a "my albums" page. When I add a ninth and publish (via iWebSEO Tool) the whole albums page goes blank. When I look at it in the local folder it seems fine, but after it is ftp'd to my server it is blank. Ideas why this is happening?

Photo album page

I'm just starting with iWeb so everyone please be gentle.
I've been doing the publishing to my desktop so far and it's all going well. Once I get everything set I'm going to do it to my .Mac account.
Right now, on my desktop when I look at my photo page, clicking the thumbnails opens up something similar to the old iPhoto pages. I know that iWeb has a snazzier slideshow once I get to .Mac. But is there a way to keep the simpler version?

iWeb pages published to folder will use the older style slide show. If you want to use these pages just drag the folder to your iDisk Sites folder.
This will publish that one page to a homepage.mac.com/username/foldername/pagename.html URL.
If you have more than one page they would all be published to a single Desktop folder. Drag that folder to the Sites folder of iDisk and wait for all the files to upload.

Using photos in Pages

The photos on my document are either frozen or disappear. Sometimes they cover the text. When I can move them, the space remains blank and I can't get the text to replace the image.

Have you checked the Wrap Inspector?
Making it Floating may help.
