Using photoshop and Lightroom on two different computer

I thought that if you have a Creative Cloud membership you can install Photoshop cc and Lightroom 5 on two different computers. On one computer however it works on the other I get a trial version.I have a membership for photography. I checked my payments and they are allright.

Does anyone know how well the Intel Iris Pro installed on new 15" MacBook Pros performs using Photoshop and Lightroom?  I have seen some differing opinions out there, and I would rather not shell out the extra cash for the Nvidia if I don't have to. I mostly do photo editing for business and personal use. I have not used the 3D function in Photoshop, but I would like to know that I could.

You could download a trial and see how well it works before committing to a subscription. You get 30 days to decide.

  • I have been using Photoshop and Lightroom for years, purchasing upgrades. If I join CC do I have to pay the same as someone new to PS and Lightroom?

Adobe usually offers discounts on the full Creative Cloud (all apps) for customers with CS3 or later. However the Photography plan (Photoshop and LR) Is $9.99 pm (or local currency) and the initial benefits for CS customers who took what was then called The Photography Program (larger cloud storage) has now ended.

  • Can i use photoshop and lightroom on multiple computers with the monthly plan?

Please tell me all the pros of downloading the photoshop and lightroom and paying 9.99 a month. Thank you!

  • How many computers can I use Photoshop and Lightroom on?

I have Photoshop CC and Lightroom installed on my laptop. I bought a new HP Touchscreen 2 days ago. Can I also have Photoshop and Lightroom installed on it or will I have to delete the ones on my laptop before installing them on my new computer?

You are allowed to have the software installed/functional on two machines.  If your HP meets the specifications for the software then you should not have an issue with having it installed on both.

  • Help!! I purchased the 9.99 trial from amazon to use photoshop and lightroom. It took me to this website but i don't know what to do. Or how to install the software on my mac

i don't know what I'm doing wrong I'm pretty frustrated?

    Hi Cristinaflores,
My understanding of how it normally works, is Amazon will email you a redemption code after you purchase. The subscription is tied to an email address, your Adobe ID. You'll want to redeem the redemption code from Amazon on whatever email address/Adobe ID you intend to use here. https://creative.adobe.com/redeem
Once you do that you can download and install the Creative Cloud app to install Lightroom and Photoshop and start using your membership. Here are some instructions:

    Hope that helps,

  • Photoshop and Lightroom Images are Different - Much lower contrast

When I export an image from either LR 3 or 4, or from Capture One, into Photoshop the images are very different.  Compared to the original image in LR/C1 the image in Photoshop has dramatically brighter shadows, and less contrast in general.
Interstingly, if I make no adjustments in PS at all, and just save the file back to LR, the file looks like the original/correct image.
It almost appears as if some sort of curves preset or other type of automated correction is being applied in PS.
I don't think this is a color management issue - the monitor is calibrated with a ColorMunki, and the colorspaces in all programs are ProPhoto RGB.
This is happening in CS5 and 6, so it is likely some sort of setting that I inadvertantly created.
I uninstalled CS5 completely, and re-installed CS6, and also did the Command/Option/Shift setting reset, but the issue remains.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Here is the Color Settings:
Here is an image in LR
and the same image in PS6 - look at the shadows on the left behind the rope

  • I just purchased a chromebook, does CC Photoshop and lightroom work with this computer?

Does photoshop cc and lightroom work with a chrombeook?

No. Adobe software only works with Windows and Apple OS X operating systems.

  • Switching computers and need to install Photoshop and lightroom on the new computer. I own the products.

Hello. How can I do this? Do I need to deactivate it on the old machine?

You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you prefer you can keep the original installation intact.  If you prefer not to then the minimum you need to do is deactivate it.

  • Instalation of Photoshop and Lightroom

I already have Photoshop and Lightroom installed on my computer. If I purchase Creative Cloud will I then download Photoshop and Lightroom and install all new versions or will Creative Cloud simply upgrade my two existing applications?

No the CC Cloud is different from the perpetual licensed products. Those are yours to keep forever. The Cloud version disappear when your subscription runs out.
Of course thisis if you can download the Creative Cloud desktop app. I can't. I keep getting the message Creative Cloud desktop failed to install. Done it about 6 times. Restarted the computer twice. Window 7 PRO. Don't want to run clean tool as it only give the option to wipe out both CC and CS-PS6 and have too many specialized settings in CS-PS6

  • Images in Photoshop and Lightroom not matching on external display

On my external display the same image viewed in Photoshop and Lightroom is diplayed differently.
    My set up:
Macbook pro running Mountain Lion (10.8.4), DVI connected NEC Spectraview 271. Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom 5. Both displays calibrated using Spectraview 5 software and an Eye one pro puck. Photoshop working space is Prophoto RGB and is set to preserve embedded profiles. I'm using Andrew Rodney's and Bill Atkinson's test images to try and figure this out.
    Behaviour:
With the same image displayed in Lightroom and Photoshop on the Macbook screen they match perfectly. If I drag the Lightroom window across to the NEC it changes (as you would expect - richer colours & higher contrast). If I drag the Photoshop image across to the NEC it also changes but no longer matches the Lightroom image (cooler colours).
So, I don't really know whether Photoshop or Lightroom is displaying correctly, and whether they or the OS are to blame. I had assumed it was Lightroom as the image is more pleasing but this obviously isn't necessarily the case. What is clear is that somewhere there is a difference between how Lightroom and Photoshop are converting the image numbers for monitor display on the NEC.
Does anyone know how to find out what display profile Lightroom and Photoshop are using?
Is it possible they are both using the same profile but one is not using the NEC hardware calibration? (Seems unlikely as I assume it would be impossible for the NEC to be using different internal look up tables at the same time)
Could the OS be tripping up one and not the other in some way?
Could the X-rite software (which I don't use but is installed) somehow be interfering?
Anybody able to shed some light?
    Thanks for any help,
    Tom

I'm having trouble with Lightroom 5 soft proofing with reds too.  To rid my propossed print of a gamut warning I must totally desaturate or change my paper profile to glossy (or both).  This is odd because my monitor is calibrated, I'm using the correct paper profiles etc and when I ignore the gamut warning my prints are looking good. This isn't helpful to you but at least your not alone....

  • Photoshop and Lightroom old timers

I have been using Photoshop and Lightroom for years, purchasing upgrades. If I join CC do I have to pay the same as someone new to PS and Lightroom?

If you subscribe to the full CC package, you will probably qualify for a 40% discount for the first year. (if you have CS3 or later)
The Photography plan (PS + LR) does not have a first year discount, but is quite reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, only adobe can help you with that, as most people here are just posters such as your self and don't work for adobe.
If you go here and use the Chat now button (bottom of page), they should get you up and running by resetting your activations.
