Using Photoshop in the Cloud (monthly Subscription)

Hi all!
i already bought Photoshop (not Extended) in a monthly Cloud subscription. Everytime i open Photoshop iam asked if i like to make a monthly subscription of PSD Extended. Why? How can i switch that off...because i dont want to!
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Marc

Did you have the software activated, then it deactivated itself?
If so, did you try reactivating it with your serial number?
I'm just curious.  There have been several other recent reports of the same thing happening.

  • Can I use photoshop from the cloud on two computers without paying extra?

I rent photoshop/lightroom on my laptop and just got a new desktop I want to be able to use them on.  I was wondering if this was possible?  If it is, how do I do it?  Every time I think I have it figured out, the site asks me to pay again...

Yes, your subscription provides for having two working installations.  You should only have to download and install that Cloud manager, sign in, then install the applications thru the manager... pretty much the same thing you did with the first machine.

  • Trying to be sure I have latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop (I am on monthly subscription plan).  After I sign in - told I need "administrative privileges to continue."  The initial downloads went without any problem.

  • What Photoshop in the Cloud should we be using?

What Photoshop in the Cloud should we be using, CC or CC2014?  I thought the promise of the cloud was that we would not have to keep updating and loading plugins but with 2014, do I delete CC, load 2014 and then load my plugins again.  Will there be a 2015?  I am still using PS6 but am signed up for the cloud, what version should I load and use?

    Hi Charlie_Boy,
With Creative cloud, you have ability to use CC-2014 and CC both the versions. If you are comfortable with CC version, you can find it and install it from your Creative cloud Desktop Application.
Follow this link to install CC: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html
If you have already installed CC, you do not have to uninstall it to install CC-2014. You can keep CC and keep on using CC-2014 as well.
Both will work for you on the same machine and would not conflict with each other.

  • Re Photoshop via the Cloud

As I understand it, if I subscribe to Photoshop via the cloud for around $20 per month and use it for say two or whatever years then have a cash flow problem and stop paying for a period of time, Adobe not only stops sending updates but they disable Photoshop so that I have nothing to show for years of payments.  Is this really true?

You are not the only one who feels that way.
You can post over in the Adobe Creative Cloud forum, to add to the many complaints there.

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%)   If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly  – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display   Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see?   There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light.  MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

  • Using iTunes in the Cloud

I was wondering if I can use iTunes in the Cloud just for offsite storage of my music? I want to keep the files on all of my devices and only use iCloud to store the originals. Can this be done? Thanks.
    Steve H

    Hi,
No. Itunes in the cloud is not a back up service. This stores your iTunes purchase, not the rest of your music. iTunes Match is a different product, again it is not per se a back up service.
    Read this https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4112,.
What match does is scans your library and matches your music with a version that is available in the iTunes Store. If it is not matched and is eligible, it will be uploaded. You will now have access to those tracks on other devices when you are signed into match.
Nothing happens physically to the tracks on your computer unless you opt to upgrade or delete them. Nothing beats a proper back up on an external HD

  • I presently have Photoshop CS5 loaded on my computer. Should I erase it before downloading Photoshop from the cloud?

I presently have Photoshop CS5 loaded on my computer. Should I erase it before downloading Photoshop from the cloud?

Nothing wrong with leaving CS5 installed and having both available to you.
You can still run CS5 if you have Cloud versions installed.
    Bottom-line: it's up to you.

  • Can I use InDesign in the cloud? Or must I download it?

    Hi There,
I have a mac without a lot of disc space left and everytime I download InDesign, my disc space disapears. Is it possible to use InDesign in a cloud based app without having to download it? Any help would be much appreciated!

The whole Creative Cloud nomenclature is a marketing thing. InDesign (as well as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat) continue to be installed and executed on your own computer! The only cloud aspect of this is that you download from a server and there is a built-in feature in InDesign 9.1 to syncronize files on an Adobe server-based cloud directory.

  • Using vtext with the cloud

Before the cloud I could "text" my son's iphone from my laptop and get the response back to my lap top......now I can "text" him from my lap top and the response only goes to my phone!  What happened???  and How can I fix it?

Thanks for the reply.  I am fairly tech-saavy (engineer) but I have to say I am confused.  T
If you go to this support article, it indicates that iCloud does in fact support Office and PDF. See below.  Also, I have enabled iCloud documents in both my Mac and my iPad, but I don't see any way to actually share the documents - do you have to buy iWork for that?  I don't get it.  Normally Apple software is so intuitive and easy to use but not here.  All I need is Dropbox-like capability.
iCloud: Get documents stored on icloud.com
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2704?viewlocale=en_US,
    It says
When you create a document on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) set up with iCloud, the document appears automatically on icloud.com/iwork and on your other iOS devices set up with iCloud. You can edit the document from any iOS device, and the document is immediately updated everywhere.
From icloud.com/iwork, you can also download the document to your Mac or Windows computer and edit it. You can then drag the edited document from your computer to icloud.com/iwork. The document is automatically updated on your iOS devices.
Supported file formats include Keynote ’09, Pages ’09, Numbers ’09, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, TXT, CSV, and PDF.

  • How to sync playlists if using iTunes in the cloud?

I don't fully understand this cloud thing...
I have successfully linked my iphone 4 to the cloud and downloaded a bunch of new purchases.
Now...I want to manually sync some playlists and the music they contain with my phone.
iTunes seems to want to erase all the cloud-downloaded songs and replace them with what I'm manually syncing.
Is there a way to keep the cloud-synced songs and add some others manually???
    Help!

It is Adobe’s largest software release since CS6 and it includes all-new versions of 14 CC desktop applications, 4 new mobile apps, the immediate availability of creative hardware and new offerings for Enterprise, education and photography customers.
There are hundreds of new features that are performance boosters, that make everyday workflow better, support for chanign hardware and formats, as well as some Adobe magic that customers have come to expect, like the new Blur Gallery motion effects in Photoshop
