I currently have a Photoshop CC license that I use on Windows 8.1 I plan to buy a MacBook pro. Can I use same license on Mac and still occasionaly use it on my Windows machine?

Yes, you can activate the software on a maximum of two computers simultaneously, regardless of operating system. Mac/Mac, Win/Win or Mac/Win are all OK.

I'm using a Fujitsu T901 laptop, with a stylus pen. Painting works great in Photoshop, but for drawing there is no sensitivity at all. Frans Vischer

"Use my Microsoft Windows user ID and password" is grayed out

Hello Experts,
I've disabled "SOX Auditing" option in Server Manager in BPC 5.1 SP03, but "Use my Microsoft Windows user ID and password" is still grayed out. The only option I unlocked is saving password.
How do I enable Windows Authentication in BPC?

Enabling/Disabling SOX Compliance does not take effect until the 2nd time you go through the Connection Wizard.
Your problem could also be within Internet Explorer.
Go to:
1. Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Security Tab
2. Click on Local Intranet zone>Custom Level
3. Scroll down to User Authentication>Logon. Ensure that Automatic Logon with Current UN and PW is checked.
4. Do the same for the Internet zone.
Try on multiple machines.
Also on the client machine, look at the value for BASICAUTHENTICATION in:
hkeycurrentuser>software>vb and vba program settings>outlooksoft 5>latest

100% disk usage in Task Manager when using Photoshop CC (Windows 8.1 - 64 bit)

I have been using Adobe CC for a month or two now. I own an Asus laptop with Intel i7 (2.4 GHz), 6 GB RAM, 1 TB hard disk space and 64 bit, nearly 6 months old. Following apps are currently installed: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Audition, Acrobat XI Pro, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. I recently performed an update through Adobe CC for Photoshop and Illustrator, all others are up-to-date.
I believe, but I may be wrong, that since this update Photoshop is acting weird on my laptop. When I start Photoshop, my task manager immediately indicates a 100% rate of my disk usage. This seems to wield off after it is fully operational, but when I start to edit a file, the disk usage immediately jumps back to 100%, while the CPU remains below 10%, RAM stays at 3.5-3.8 GB (only 60% of total capacity) and even the actual read and write speeds of my HDD are not particularly high (5 - 10MB max). And because of the 100% disk usage, Photoshop freezes in an instant and operating it is nearly impossible.
I already uninstalled Photoshop, went over all services and **** that could trigger this within Windows 8.1 (Google-search for: Windows 8.1 disk usage 100%) , re-installed Photoshop and I still have the same problem.
So, I was wondering if there might be a solution to this problem or if anybody else is having this problem as well?

UPDATE: This error applies only when I try to manipulate, add, edit or remove text. All other functions (not related to text) seem to work properly.

IO operations using ActiveX with Windows 8 64bit and IE 11 not working

We are using ActiveX for downloading file from the server, It works well with Windows 7 and XP but there is issue with Windows 8 and IE 11.It doesn't give any error for downloading files using ActiveX but file not downloaded and even does not generate log
file for the issues and error.
We are confused because it doesn't throw any error while log generation or downloading file
Is there any limitation for ActiveX with Windows 8 for IO operations.
We are stuck at this point. please help

find your activeX control in the list, make sure it is enabled and supports both x86 and x64.

Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default"
file>Properties menu to find out which IE Security zone your web page with the activeX maps to.

How do you overcome problems using Photoshop Elements with Win 7 and Eyefinity display?

I have a 3 screen Eyefinity setup on a PC running 64bit Win 7 with 16gb RAM and an AMD Radeon 7950 graphics card and Phenom II x4 processor.
I struggle to get a stable PSE10 to work on this setup.
I bought a combined set of Photoshop and Premier Elements 10 and although installed it always crashed when I saved images with the error message "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 has stopped working". I recently did a fresh install of Windows 7 and decided I had to solve the Photoshop problem.
I installed Premier 64 bit version from disk 2 and Photoshop Elements from disk 1 and then ran compatability checker. Under compatability settings for Win XP srv pack 3 it starts although with some toolbar errors and top and bottom of screen transparent instead of solid. I can save files worked on but then still get the error when I exit Photoshop Elements.
Has anyone had similar and solved the problem? Tech Support said my s/w was too old and unsupported without a service contract.

There should be no need for compatibility mode; pse10 is designed to run on W7. Try making a direct shortcut for the Editor. You can then launch the program directly from the desktop bypassing the welcome screen. This is generally better as the welcome screen leaves background processes running.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Then click the browse button and navigate to:
"C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
Then click Next; then click Finish
To launch, try right-clicking on the new desktop icon and choose “Run As Administrator” which often improves stability.

Opening Nikon D600 NEF files using PhotoShop CS4 11.0.2 and ACR 5.7.0.213

I've just bought a Nikon D600.
I have Photoshop CS4 11.0.2 and ACR 5.7.0.213.
With these versions, I'm unable to open the D600 NEF files. I get the following message:
"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"
Yet I can view the NEFs in other software that pre-dates the D600, e.g. FastStone Image Viewer 4.6.
Does anybody know if I can get a plug-in from Adobe for PS CS4 that allows me to edit D600 NEFs?

Either upgrade to Photoshop CS6 or download the free DNG Converter and covert your NEFs to DNG.

If your iPod was not originally set up on the PC, Restore the iPod on the PC, select the iPod under DEVICES, tick the box that says "Manually Manage..." and click Apply. Now highlight and drag the songs you want on the iPod from your iTunes library to your your iPod. You will have to manually eject the iPod. Repeat the manual syncing of songs on your Mac at home.
You will have to do any firmware updates on the PC at work.

Photoshop CS4, Windows 7 - move and type tool bugs

My company recently had me upgrade my Dell Lattitude E6400 laptop from Windows XP to Windows 7. It was a reimage, so I had to reinstall all my software. Previously, I never encountered any bugs with Photoshop (barring the one that doesn't allow you to exit layer options, e.g., opacity, without physically changing layers)... anyway, now I've got two rather - extremely - irritating issues that resolve only when I restart Photoshop.
1. Move tool (I use CTRL + Click and hold most often): when I place my cursor on the screen, on the object I wish to move (with the correct layer selected), then I try to move this object, suddenly the object JUMPS to some far away corner of the screen. All I am trying to do is what I've always done, move something over a small bit; instead, I have to chase it around. It's like the center of the object/layer suddenly changes.
This issue seems to go away - at least for a while - if I restart phothoshop. But, if I leave it open for a while (as I use it 4+ hours a day) it returns, inevitably. SOOO frustrating.
2. Changing text box size: Every so often when I go to adjust the width/height of a text box - while using the text tool - something happens that causes the text box to actually skew/scale/distort/etc. the text. I've never seen this happen before - not on my personal copy/machine, nor on the Windows XP install.
I've Googled these issues, but to no avail. I'm hoping *some*one out there has some thoughts, particularly for the first issue, which is by far the more irritating of the two, as I end up chasing things around the workspace. (I often have to zoom WAY out, hit CTRL + T to get the transform box to show me where in the workspace it is, and it's generally FAR out of view.)

Some screen interactivity will be reduced without OpenGL, but it's livable.
OpenGL use was new for CS4, and as it was a whole new way of getting information onto the screen it did cause some problems.
If you do find the problem is gone without OpenGL (and I suspect it may be; I used CS4 for a long time without seeing what you're seeing so I'm convinced it's a problem on your specific system), check the video driver upgrades from Dell. A lot of drivers are coming out specifically to support OpenGL as Photoshop needs it - of course, nowadays, that's for CS5 mostly but it's likely helping to make OpenGL more stable for CS4 as well.

After the latest update of Itunes I can no longer use it. Windows Error 127 and restore Itunes is the message I get. Do I have to download it again fro m the Apps store?

Do I have to download Itunes again from the App Store after updating my original I can no longer use it.
Keep getting the error message Windows error 127, restore ITunes. This has not affected my IPad at all.

Hello I have been using Photoshop cs6 for 6 months and now I get "Scratch Disk Full"

I have read all of the threads and done all of the suggestions. Empty Temp Files, Defrag Disk, Checked Root File. I even bought a new HD 1T but still get Scratch Disk. I have 4g Ram and an I5 processor. My HD that I was using has 328g free, So I am at a lose of what to do next. Any help.
