Using PMW(Payment medium work bench) and Classic payment medium programs

Can you please anyone explain the difference between PMW(Payment medium work bench) and Classic payment medium programs in the APP.
Please let me know based on what cosideration these can be used?

The consideration is nothing, it is purely based on the business requirement.
Following information may be useful.
SAP has provided some of the DME structures for different countries. like GB_BACS for GB etc.
If your client is not part of those structure, probably you are required to create your own structure. It also depends on the bank of your client. They may want the file in a different format. Therefore, you need to first talk to the bank and get a sample file in which they need the format.
You can create the DME structure by using transaction code DMEE - Tree Type is PAYM.
You can create the DME structure as a flat file or XML file based on the requirement of your client (bank).
You can also copy the standard structure to Z structure and modify it according to your requirements.
Please also make sure that you have made settings in OBPM1, OBPM2, OBPM3 and OBPM4 (More importantly you should maintain the path where it needs to be downloaded)
Complete your FBZP settings - Importantly payment methods in country, select your DME structure.
Take help of basis consultant in order to create the directories. You can see the directories in AL11.
If there are no directory path maintained in OBPM4, then the file gets saved to temporary directory in AL11.
If you are using DME structure, then forget the classic payment medium.
1. First ask the bank for the format, file type etc. Ask bank for any document available.
2. The see for that country if SAP has provided any standard DME structure (Transaction Code DMEE - Tree Type PAYM)
3. If this is not sufficient, then copy the standard DME strcutre and modify it accordingly to your requirement.

7. Run F110 - Check you have maintained your variant details properly for program RFFOAVIS_FPAYM
If you maintain all these steps correct, hope your DME file should get generated.

Hi,
Use transaction OBPM4.
Select your payment medium format.
If you have not created a variant, I suggest you do so.
In the 'output control', when editing your variant, you can either store the file in SAP system (/usr/sap/dta/<file name>) or tick the flag 'output to file system' and enter the path where you want to store the file (such as C:\DTA\<file name>)

HT5100 Itunes u just opens and closes immediately when I try to use it. It worked previously, and now it doesn't. I tried uninstalling it and then installing it again and it still closes as soon as I open it. Other apps do not do this. What should I do?

It starts with a checklist for getting PrE set up properly, then moves into tuning up one's system and OS (you have done a lot of that already), and then goes into troubleshooting tips. Note: those tips rather work up quickly in "degree of difficulty," and DO become quite technical, but things like the "Finding Clues" link will give some tools, that might prove useful, like the use of Windows' Event Viewer to track down issues.
One of the first things to look at would be your video driver. I would go to the video card's/chip's mfgr's. Web site, and check for a later driver. Do not trust Windows, or any utility to tell you if you have the latest driver. If there is not a newer video driver, or it will not install properly on your system, be sure to check with the HP Web site, as HP, Dell, Lenovo, and some other mfgrs. will re-package video drivers to suit their specific setup.
One troubleshooting technique, that might prove useful (however, those deleted programs bother me a bit here), would be to create a System Restore Point for now (see Windows Help for doing this with your particular OS version). Then, boot to Safe Mode, and choose an older System Restore Point, from when things did work. This might take some trial-and-error, to get back far enough. Test. At the worst, you will only have lost a few minutes, as you have your new System Restore Point for now, to fall back on.

No message in runtime work bench and message monitoring

hi all,
we have done one simple file to file scenario.file is not being picked up.
there is no message in sxmb_moni and runtime workbench.
In communication channel monitoring also we r not getting any adapter.
(XI installed recently).
Is there any problem with installation?

0) Go to RWB-->Cache Connectivity Test and check the status.. and run the refresh over there
1) execute SLDCHECK in XI box
2) Go to SXI_CACHE and refresh the cache also delete the Adapter metadata
3) Check the SAP BASIS SWCV is imported into IntegratioN Repository
4) Refersh the Adapter Metadata cache in SLD>Adminisration>Cache Overview ->Adapter Metadata Cache Refresh

Using music from my work laptop and my home imac

I just got an iphone to replace my ipod touch.
I have two macs. One at work and one at home. Both have different music on them.
With my ipod i could load some songs onto it from my laptop... go home... load some more songs from my imac. Everytime i try this on my iphone it tells me it can only be synced with one library at a time.
I have turned off Automatically sync when iphone is connected.
Its when i turn on Manually manage music and videos that the message comes up.
Please tell me this is possible and hasn't been crippled by apple???
If so i might have to return it before my 14 days is up

Yeah its very stupid.
My laptop at work doesn't have much memory so i cant keep all my music on it, but if i buy CD's ill put them in itunes at work as its more convenient.
This flaw in the iphone means that i have to bring the CD home and re-rip it at home, and i cant listen to the new music till i get back home.... although i dont want my laptop as my 'main sync' computer as i dont have my entire collection on it.

Well I am in my first year in college and am finally looking to get a macbook that I have always wanted. But I dont know what one to get. Ill be using it for school work, music and pictures, searching the web and traveling abroad.

I have a lot of pictures and i know I am going to be getting an external hardrive. But i am stuck between the 13 in new macbook air and the 15 in retina macbook. battery life is important but i want it to be really fast and just like a powerhorse. My MacBook was initially sent in just for the random shutdown issue, but then I called them while it was getting repaired to request the new plastic, since that was becoming a public issue. I think the logic board was replaced by two weeks into the repair, but then it had to wait longer for plastic. When all of that was replaced, it failed the final testing and was going to take longer, but they offered a replacement.
I think my replacement is taking so long because it is a custom build (so that took about 3 business days) and then estimated shipping is always one week, so since yesterday it has been waiting to be shipped.
ARGH.

Output MRBR: Payment Block (PMNT Block) and Logistics Payment Block

dear all-
Today I was working on an issue related to trx MRBR. I noticed that in the list that is generated by MRBR (when you opt for 'manual release') there are interesting fields:
- one is called 'payment block'
- the other is called 'logistics payment block'
I see that when an invoice line item has one or more blocking reasons the field 'logistics payment block' is filled with the value A. The 'F1 help' provides a good explanation. The other field (just 'payment block') is blank (although 'F1 help' suggests that the value R can be expected)!
Does anyone know what the difference is between those 2 payment blocks? And why is one blank?

The logistics (MM) payment block is the payment block in the MM invoice, either set manually or automatically (e.g. price difference to PO).
The field payment block comes from the vendor line of the accounting document and is automatically set by system when a blocked MM is saved.

Payment engine, bank charge and outgoing payment

Hi expert !
My customer wants to generate foreign outgoing payment, with Payment Wizard.
We're french, so I created payment mode, and I choosed File format : SAPBPFROPBT_AFB_FO
In case of outgoing payment file protocol, we must specify who paid Bank charge :
13 : supplier
14 : half us, half supplier
15 : us
By default, Payement engine's generate file with bank charge = 14. And, of course, my custommer wants bank charge = 13.
I wrote bank charge = 13 on BP Master Data, and I can See bank charge = 13 in OPEX table (I try all fields - InstruckKey - pymKeyCode - PeyRefDTLS - and of course PYLBCACode).
But Payment engine still generate a file with bank charge = 14.
In payment engine Help, customizing bank charge is explained for all regional options, but not for france.
Please, do you know how can I have a file with bank charge = 13 ?

Bank charges and Overdraft fees will not be an open item account.
But your bank clearing account will be an open item account.
Error may be due to the incorrect posting rule defined.

When I click on a link in an email, nothing happens; Firefox used to open the page. I am using a Mac computer, latest OS, and the Mac mail program.

I have tried quiting Firefox and setting Safari to my default browser. Links open on Safari just fine. When I go back to Firefox as my default, I continue to have the same issue, links will not open in Firefox.

You can also quit and relaunch Firefox and then
the link will open in mac mail.

And have already tried different SIM cards but the problem persists.
I have taken my phone to an authorized Apple service center, where they restored my phone to factory settings, but still facing the same issue. They service center directed me to Apple Customer Care Hotline, where I have now spent 3+ hours explaining my issue and yet no one can resolve it. The easy answer if to replace the phone - and since it is out of warranty, I am expected to pay for it.
Additionally, the customer service has been so rude and confrontational that it has completely changed my view of Apple and its customer focus. I am a disappointed and angry customer today - people would be surprised to hear just how rude customer service was including making statements such as "Apple doesnt make infallible products, that's why warranty is needed for our products" and that "every product undergoes a problem at some stage, so do ours!" There goes whatever confidence I had...
My concern is simple - if no one at Apple and / or its CS hotline is able to address my issue comprhensively and keep telling me that they have never encountered a precedent before, then with what right can they expect me to pay for a replacement?! I am NOT here to fund Apple's research into their product faults and manufacturing.
And even though a customer is out of warranty, is it too much to expect an Apple product to work well for at least a 'reasonable' period of time. My phone is less than 18 months old and has been facing this issue for the past 2 months - surely the longevity of Apple products is more than 18 months!
Just a sad sad day for an Apple customer, compounded by unjustifiably rude and aggressive staff. And still no resolution to my problem.

I am having the same issue - with my last 2 iPhone 4's. My first handset each time I was on a call wether it was up to my ear or on loud speaker, the call would automatically mute even though the mute button wouldn't show up as highlighted. Pressing the mute button on and off during the call doesn't fix it either. I rang Apple and asked what some of their trouble shooting solutions were. I got told that it might be a software issue and to install the latest software update. This failed. I then got told to uninstall the software on the phone and do a complete restore. This also failed. After trying the troubleshooting suggestions, I took the phone into my provider and they sent me out a new phone within a week under warranty claiming it was a hardware issue and probably just a "glitch" with that particular phone. This was not the case....
After receiving my second iPhone 4, I was hopeful that it would work. For the first couple of days, making/receiving calls was not an issue. Until after about a week, the same problem started again. In one instance I had to hang up and call back 4 times and the call would still automatically mute after about 5 seconds. Also on the second handset, the main camera located on the back of the phone has red and blue lines running through it and can't take a decent picture. So back to the store I go to get another replacement - Again.
For a phone that is rated highly and as a keen Apple product purchaser, I am a bit disappointed with the experience I have had with the iPhone 4. Let's hope they find a fix sometime soon because this is becoming a bit beyond a joke.....!!

Weekly limit on amount paid using manual and authomatic payment programme

Dear SAPers
I have a requirement to set weekly limits on amounts paid using the manual and authomatic payment programme. The organisation issues payments through one bank account with same payment method for manual and authomatic payments and would like to set a limit per week. This means that no further payments will be allowed when the set limit is reached - ie when payments issued for a particular week exceed for example u20AC500,000 no more payments will be allowed. The limit can be revised by the authorisaed person.
t-code S_ALR_87001486 lets you set the limit for the authomatic payment programme but I think does not let you set the limit for a period of time say a week.
Can you please tell me if this is possible to do or if it would require development and how to approach this. Your feedback is appeciated.

You probably have to code an exit in the program SAPF110 and create a custom table to store weekly amounts used for payments.

ACH domestic and international payments

Hi Experts,
I have learnt the ACH payment with payment medium work bench payment config by the threads.
Selected ACH in app country setting and done the settings obpm4.
Can some one tell me is there any difference in configuration for the below
ACH Payments. Domestic same bank, Domestic different bank and international bank.

Hi Surya,
For PMW - the same DMEE is used for both domestic and international payments. The kind of information needed while credting to domestic/foreign vendor bank accounts depends on guidelines given by your house banks. As per that, customize the dmee with conditions.
Usually in US, for domestic payments ABA number is needed and for any cross border transactions SWIFT code along with IBAN (for quick transfer) or bank number is mandatory.
