Using Powerpt on MBA projection issue

When I attach LCD projector to MBA and start Powerpt I have issues with getting slide show on the audience LCD
before Lion updates all I did was plug and play now I have to fiddle aout with setings on MBA and PPT not sure what is up but often end up with the pjected image being a sort of mirror image of two screens i and not what I want to see - any help.?

1. Check the cycle count of the battery against the rated life for your model. The battery may be due for replacement. If the power adapter is connected almost all the time, the battery may need replacing even though the cycle count is not too high.
2. Follow these instructions, or these for OS X 10.9 or later.
3. In the Energy Saver preference pane, uncheck the box marked
Enable Power Nap while on battery power
if it's shown (it may not be.)
4. You can also try resetting the SMC.
5. Make sure your system is up to date in Software Update.
6. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.

Aperture Does Not Import Videos using IMPORT FOLDER AS PROJECTS

SOLVED - Aperture 3.2.1 does not import videos using "Import Folder as Project"
After 2 days of trying to figure this out (actually around 2 hours total) I've finally managed to import all my photos & videos last year. 200 Gigs 54,000 files. First few tries resulted with referenced photos only, no videos. I had no luck with Google, even tried moving a couple of .plist as mentioned from this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11188017?messageID=11188017#11188017 - this worked for some but not for me. Some issues were solved by NOT selecting "Raw Only", this will cause Aperture to skip your videos.
Thank you to these people who took time to share. In return I am posting my micro contribution to the Aperture Community. FILE > SWITCH TO LIBRARY > then create a new library. You should be able to import your photos with videos in folders.
I hope this gets into Google soon. :-)

You mean in the Aperture Import panel the folder, where the jpegs should be, is empty?
Then you may have excluded jpegs from import in your "Import Settings".
Check the above settings in the "Import Settings" options in the "Import Window". I.e-make sure the Raw+Jpeg Pairs option is set to "Both", even if you do not import raws.
After reassembled all the programs to a new hard drive in Mac Pro
Is this new Harddrive your system volume? And are the jpegs you wat to import located on this drive? Or are the on another external volume? If yes, how is this volume formatted?
Have you checked the permissions and ownership of the jpegs?

"The player used to create the project could not be found"

After installing Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014, I have had issues with Encore, which worked fine before. This is the message I get when starting Encore:
"The player used to create the project could not be found, Adobe defaulting to Adobe player".
Once I attempt to open a saved project, the message is "Adobe Encore could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drive and start again". I can't create a new project because the program crashes in the attempt.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Encore. All drivers are up to date. I am running the program as an administrator.

Thanks for responding - your answer improved things quite a bit - I installed the latest AMD driver, which seemed to help quite a bit - it added some functionality to Encore. I'm still getting an error message, but the program appears to be functioning in spite of it.

Hi Sunitha,
You could populate the RBS lookup table with 2 levels (department and sub department). Then configuring correctly your
security categories based on the RBS, the resources in the 1st level (departments) will see projects from all theirs sub departments.

Why Do I get 0h hours for resources after using Resource Levelling in Project 2010?

Hi,
We are using MSProject 2010 and Project Server 2010 with Enterprise resources. All resources on all projects in the enterprise are shared resources. We are finding that after resource levelling is applied to the project some resources are only
being assigned a fraction of their total availability, and in some cases Project will assign 0 hours to a resource for several consecutive weeks even though the resource has capacity for the week the task is scheduled to start.
For example: Let's say we have a task that is scheduled to start on 1-20-14. The task is a 112 hours of effort with no constraints and one resource assigned to it. The resource is available 40 hours per week for the next 4 weeks. After resource
levelling I would expect Project to assign the resource as follows: 40 hours in week 1, 40 hours the next week and 32 hours the next week, for a total of 112 hours. Instead, Project does not assign the resource to the task until week 4 (even
though the resource has capacity on the start date of the task) and pushes the finish date out. In some weeks the resource has 0h hours showing in the timephased grid on the Resource Usage sheet. We have experimented with the levelling settings and it
does not seem to matter which boxes are checked, but following is our preferred settings:
1. Levelling Calculations set to Manual
2. Look for overallocations on a day by day basis
3. Clear levelling values before levelling is CHECKED
4. Level entire project is selected.
5. Levelling order is Priority,Standard
6. Level only within available slack is CHECKED
7. Levelling can adjust individual assignments on a task is CHECKED
8. Levelling can create splits in remaining work is UNCHECKED
9. Level resources with the proposed booking type is UNCHECKED
10. Level manually scheduled tasks is CHECKED.
Does anyone have any ideas about why Project is not using the resource's available capacity?

Hi Judy,
Thanks to give us more detail. But actually if you need to level a resource, it means that this resource is overallocated. In your example, since it is not overallocated on the 12weeks task you mention, it means that it should be assigned on another task.
If not, there would be no need to perform any resource levelling.
Concerning the fact that levelling assign resource at 0hr per week, this can be absolutely normal.
Imagine that you have a resource working at 100% on 2 tasks on the same period. imagine also that there is actual work on one of the 2 tasks. Project will level the resource, meaning that it will move ahead the remaining work of one of the task (depending
on the levelling parameters). But the actual work will not move, thus between the actual work and the moved-foreward remaining work, the resource will be assign at 0hr by time period on the splitted task.
Please check all the task of the levelled resource and actual work.

How to use settingsfilegenerator in c# project which is part of biztalk solution

As part of expression shape in the orchestration, I am calling a c# method by providing input parameters.

However,it's not picking when used as part of c# project.
As part of the method in the c# project, I have a string hardcoded with url.

the url need to change for every environment of deployement. So I want to change the hardcoded url to picked up from the
settingsfilegenerator.

Can you set a Cost Rate Table to be used for an entire project

In earlier versions of project, the default cost rate table (A) is used unless changed by the user for each assignment. In 2010, is it possible to define which cost rate table to use for the entire project, not at the assignment level?

I assume you want project to have a default cost rate, so why not set the cost rate details into A to begin with, You could then set this as a template from which you initiate all your new projects see FAQ

I have contacted apple support and they tried to do a few things... to no available.
With my limited knowledge of file structures I assume that the header file must be corrupt.
Is there a 3rd party utility that can decompile and fix the file structure so it will load properly. I've been working on this project since june and would hate to have to redo the whole thing again.

Just updated to my macbook pro to 10.8.2. ical not synching with my Exchange 2010 server. Worked flawlessly prior to the upgrade. Settings set to auto discover. I matched settings of a partner in my who is still using 10.7.1 without issues. Help!

Also - my battery has been telling me "service battery" for a LONG time and then it switched to "replace soon" som time ago. Can't really see what this has to do with anything but whatever.
That could conceivably explain all the problems you're describing. Replacing a Mac's battery should not be postponed since a failed battery will cause other problems to occur. It is also possible that its hard disk has failed, which means the information on it may soon become unrecoverable.

If that Time Machine backup remains intact, it may be the only viable means of recovering that Mac's information. I suggest you do not attempt to restore its contents to your ailing Mac.
Given that you are having trouble creating a newer Time Machine backup you should stop using that Mac immediately and have it serviced as soon as you are able. Do not take it to anyone other than Apple or a service facility authorized by Apple, for the very reasons you explained. If there are no Apple Stores in your vicinity search for an Authorized Apple Service Provider using the Contact Us link below. Use one of the options that appear under Contact Apple Support. The language on that page will be different for your location.

How to create SAP RAR file using NWDS 7.31: ResourceBundle issue

I successfully create SAP JCA Connector project for .java / .class files.
When I try to use ResourceBundle in connector project, it isn't exported to JAR / RAR / EAR files.
What should I do?
The only builders are:
* org.eclipse.jdt.core.javabuilder
* org.eclipse.wst.common.project.facet.core.builder
* org.eclipse.wst.validation.validationbuilder
When I try to export connector project to SAP RAR file, I can switch between binary-only or binary with sources, not any checkbox for *.properties.

Is there a way for me to know what all features of HTML5 does my Edge project actually use.
I know there are a lot of sites which tests what all HTML5 features are supported by a browser, but I want to know which all features are being used by a edge project.

As far as I am aware the only html5 element ever 'natively' used (anyone correct me if I overstate) is that the outputted result (.html file) is html5 encoded doctype declaration.

Having that inplace, armed with a modern browser (modern is the operative word) then the project is html5 enabled. You can can employ any html5 property (examples here http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_intro.asp) into your Edge project.
Your statement above is half & half: though you may never utilize a html5 element (like, canvas, video or audio) the doctype of the resulting file is still html5

So you may still need to employ a fallback for older browsers. I think other factors are also involved, though, aside from just html5. It's the combination of html5, jquery and CSS3.
