Using Published Data in a Send Email Message File

Hello,
I want to send an email via Orchestrators and the Message contains published Data from a Initialize Date Activity at the beginning. But because the same Email will be used multiple Times I created a .txt File and set the Option in the Send Email Message:
to File. That works alright but the Data isn't used, he just writes: {ID from "Initialize Data"} but not the Data i.e. IR126. What do I need to change so he will display the Data and not just the plain text?
I use the Format HTML but he accepts all my HTML Tag.

Yes, but you can first copy you template to a temp location, do the modifications, send the the temp file  and finally delete the temp file, with the additional Standard Activities "Copy File" and "Delete File" from  category "File Management".
But you can also have fixed Text and dynamically values if you prepare your text in the Activities....

Upgrading my work PC is NOT an option, but I'd like my Mac to be able to recognise the attachment for what it is
Let see, you are using a proprietary file format that is only supposed to work with Outlook. It doesn't work for millions of Windows or Mac or Linux email users that depend on other email programs like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, webmail, etc.
Microsoft has had to publish instructions so that their program's users can make themselves compatible with the rest of the world.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290809
You are causing your own problem by not making a simple change in your program's options. Changes in the Outlook preferences can be made either Globally or by the Recipient.
Follow these steps in Outlook 2007 to turn off TNEF:
    1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
    2. Click the Mail Format tab.
    3. In the Compose in this message format box, click Plain Text or HTML, and then click OK.
Don't know of a better way to fix this problem for everyone concerned. Even if you get the fix to work with your machine, you will not enable all of the people receiving your emails to be able to work with you. That's a losing battle that's been caused by Microsoft.
Now if Microsoft created a Mail plugin for other email programs like they do for their video format's and services (flip4mac, Office Live Plugin, etc), then I would consider using their email program to deal with my clients. Until then, I need to be compatible with many different programs in other countries, on different platforms. Maybe that's going to change when they bring out the new Office 2011 with Outlook for the Mac...

I used to be able to send text messages to my email.  It's now not working. It keeps coming in as a text.  Is one of my settings off? Please help?

Verizon is not doing that it is the mail that is doing that.
Check your device settings for email and read the owners manual as to how to set up mail to download. How you want it, leave on server, etc.
    Good Luck

I have been unable to send email messages for two weeks. Error messages are "cannot connect to SMTP mail server. Contact Internet Service Provider"

Not knowing your operating system or Mail program we can't give you much detailed help.   Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to find your Mac OS or Mac OS X version.  If it is an X version, please post in the right forum:

SMTP servers are of two types.   Those associated with the internet provider giving you the internet access.  I.e. if you have Verizon FiOS for Fiberoptic internet your SMTP server would be something based on verizon.net.   And those associated with separate web/e-mail host providers if you have a personal website or e-mail provider you chose from before you switched to the current internet access provider.   If the latter, it is possible the internet access provider, in order to prevent being implicated from being the source of spam has decided to enforce port or password authentication on the SMTP server to ensure you aren't a spam bot.  In that event, you'll probably have to check with them if it is better to use port 2626, 2662, or 587, and password authentication.  You may have to check with both e-mail provider and internet access provider.    Usually when you have separate providers doing both, your e-mail address is your username, and password on password authentication is same as checking your e-mail.

I'm not able to send email messages because my send option is not highlighted

It appears you might need a Yahoo plus account to utilize it as an SMTP server.    The server address is plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Other than that, I would contact Yahoo support directly.  Ask them if they require password authentication. If they do, usually your e-mail address is your username.  Often they require port 587, 2626, or 2662.  Only Yahoo would know for certain which one to use.

  • Send email message to folder?

    Hello -
We have a small architecture firm and when sending email messages, we would like to have the ability to quickly 'copy' them to a specific project folder. For example, if I am sending an email to a client, I would like to be able (using the BCC field, perhaps?) to send the email message to my client, but also to a folder where it can be archived for future reference. That folder would be project specific and would end up containing all of the sent messages for that particular project. If this sets up duplicates of the message, that would be okay with us.
Any thoughts about how to accomplish this?
I hadn't ever thought about this concept, but a co-worker, that previously worked at a firm using a Windows Server, found it to be very useful.
    Thanks

    get MailActOn plugin.

    it lets you do this.

  • Delay or schedule sending email messages Hosted Exchange Outlook 2013

    Hello,
Hopefully I am posting this question in the right place.
We have a user that is trying to delay a message to a different user. The problem is that if the original user who is trying to delay the message closes outlook the delayed message will not go out to the intended recipient.  I did notice the KB for
    office:
    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Delay-or-schedule-sending-email-messages-ea346137-e1e2-4ec4-a77b-1522b75b15d1?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
And it does state that "If you are using a POP3 or IMAP account, Outlook must remain open until the message is sent"
    My question is,
We actually have a hosted exchange account with outlook. is that the same as pop3/imap accounts therefore the outlook client needs to stay open?
Will the delay option work in OWA?
What about rules set in outlook to forward to other individuals, does outlook the application have to stay open?
    Thanks all for any help/feedback

    Hi,
For your first question, delayed delivery options are client side in cached mode and server side in online mode. So, when using
Cached Exchange Mode, Outlook must be connected and open at the assigned delivery time for the delayed delivery message to be sent. If you are using
Online Mode, then you don't need to leave Outlook running.
As far as I know, we don't have the same delayed delivery option in OWA. And also, only rules can be created for
incoming emails with Outlook Web App, therefore a rule to set a delay on outgoing email is not possible.
For the rule to forward an incoming email automically, you'll have to use the "defer" rule, but as far as I know, it's a client-only rule, will only process when Outlook is running.

I have Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook and PSE 13. I have used the "Share photos as embedded images" feature frequently, but today when I went to use it, it wasn't there, only the option to send email with files attached. How do I get back the ability to send emails with photos embedded. I like adding the frames and backgrounds and I think it's easier for recipients to look at the photos. Thanks for any suggestions of things to try.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage.  Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever.  After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed.  They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself.  After that, the pics go over imessage.  My own Iphone didn't have the problem.  We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

  • I have 2 macbooks using airport.  I can send emails from 1 mac to the other but not vice versa.  Any ideas why?

When we set up the airport we used to be able to send emails from my macbook to my husband's macbook and vice versa but can't now.  We have different email addresses and it was convenient to be able to forward emails etc. Can anyone tell me if it is the airport or the way we have our macs set up.  Thank you.

I really don't think it's the router. Most likely, it will have to do with the email client that you are using on each of your Macs. Unless you are running an eMail server on your local network, both of your eMail clients are using mail servers on the Internet.
If you are both using OS X Mail, you may want to post in that forum area as well to see if the Mail experts over there can help.
