Using purchased iTunes music for videos.

Probably not posting this in the right place... but I don't have the time to look throughout this vast library of information...
Simple Question....
When trying to create videos from my video camera, is it possible to import music from iTunes into the video? If so, could you tell me where I can learn how to do it?
Thanks in advance, and thanks for your patience in advance.

Doubtful, Protected tracks from the iTunes store cannot be played outside of iTunes and we cannot discuss any methods to convert them. You can burn protected tracks to a Normal audio CD but thats as far as we can go.

  • Can't use purchased iTunes music

I can't use some purchased iTunes music.
We moved and I have a new computer (iMac).
When we moved I had to drop my charter account - which I used as my itunes account. Now I use my gmail as my iTunes account but can't play 1 downloaded album (James Taylor Christmas).
It tells me this computer is not authorized to play but when i put my info in it tells me this computer is already authorized.
    Can someone help?

  • Using purchased iTunes music

I am trying to put an iTunes song (that was purchased) onto my soundtrack. I have done it before, but now it is saying that I do not have permission to use that song, and I need to open iTunes to authorize my computer to play the song. I have done so, but even after i have authorized my computer (again) nothing is happening. Any help to my dilema?

i didnt come up with any kind of fix, but i did come up with a sort of work around (though it has the potential to be tedious).
so let me share what i know...
tonight i was assembling a slideshow with music in imovie. i used only 1 song, but i cut it into exactly 10 pieces. after i saved and tried to play back the entire movie, it was asking me to authorize the music, even though the computer had already been authorized. so i authorized it and it popped up again, and i authorized again...
when it kept poping up, i just kept hitting cancel from then on and it went away. i closed the program and then opened it again and the music played fine; that is, until i saved it again and ran into the same problem.
i managed to get my project done after having closed and opened the program a number of times because of this problem. then i went to idvd...
i assembled the dvd with the slideshow attached and when i went to burn, just as it was ready to encode audio, it was asking me to authorize again!!! so i just cancelled and decided to try something else. i tried dong a bunch of stuff, both in idvd and imovie when i realized that the number of times it asked me to authorize my song (determined by the number of times i had to click cancel) was equal to the number of times the song occurs (in clips) in my project: 10.
so i hypothesized that if i burned the dvd and it asked me to authorize, i would put in my name and pasword to authorize it those 10 times and it should be clear. sure enough, it asked me to authorize and after authorizing 10 times, it worked!
it continued to burn after that and as we speak i am making additional copies. just note that after it finished authorizing i got the "swirly rainbow" indicator that told me the program was busy for a min or 2. but after i waited it out, it resumed burning. (turns out it was just encoding the audio, though it appeared the program had stalled).
i can see that it could be a huge effort to do this if you have a lot of songs that are messed up in this way. you would have to type the password for as many times as you used the disfunctional song in your project, however long the clip of it.
hope this helps. its a pain, but i hope they fixed the bug in the new version because im planning to upgrade soon.

  • Using Purchased iTunes Music on my Creative MP3 player?

I purchased music from iTunes, but there is one problem, I can't play it on my Creative Zen Vision MP3 player. I went to iTunes because they seem to have the best selection, but if I can't play it on anything that an iPod, then what's the point? Can anybody help me so I can play it on my music device? I saw the info in the knowledge base about converting music to mp3 from AAC, but you can't do that with purchased music. I even burned a CD with the music, and it won't play on my car stereo?? Help!!!

    Yes, you are right.

You must burn a CD-Audio to play it in your home/car stereo.
If you also want to play those songs on your Creative player, once you've done the CD-Audio you can rip it again in MP3.

  • How do I use itune music for creating photo DVDs with music in adobe element 10?

How do I use/transfer itune music for DVDs with music in adobe elements premier?

    On each computer:
Open iTunes. Select Preferences from the iTunes menu and click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar. At the top you will see a box showing the path to your iTunes library. Click on the Change button, navigate to the location for the library on your external drive, select it and click on the Open button. Note this permanently changes the library's location on that computer. That means you cannot access your music unless the external drive is connected.
If you don't want a permanent change, then press the OPTION key and hold it down while you launch iTunes. iTunes will then prompt you to select the library you wish to open for that session.

  • I reset my computer to orig manufacturers speifications and lost all my purchased Itune music before this year.  I've been a member for ten years.  Itunes does not have a record.  Is there anything else I can do to get them back.

I had to reboot my desktop computer to original manufacturers specifications and all my purchased Itune music was deleted from my computer.  I didn't back up my itunes because they advertise they keep a record of your purchased music.  I contacted Itunes and they have stated they only have a record of purchases made this year.  I've been a member for ten years.  Any ideas on how to get back my purchased music?  Also, I have an old Ipod Nano that I haven't used for quite some time because the battery didn't hold its charge, and it has some of my older purchased music.  Itunes said I can't get the music on my old ipod downloaded back onto my computer, any ideas on this?

  • For some reason I am unable to access my purchased itunes music from my icloud or from my computer.  I suddenly get this message: say that I the original location for the song cannot be found.

For some reason I am unable to access my purchased itunes music from the purchased folder in the itunes store or in my icloud.  The descriptions of the songs I purchased are there, but when I attempt to play them it says that the original location of the song cannot be located.  This is so frustranting. How do I get my songs back??

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

    many thanks.
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • HT203167 I've downloaded Itunes music for nearly 10 years on multiple computers, however, I've noticed that I can't access music that I purchased on some of the older computers. Can this problem be fixed?

I've downloaded Itunes music for nearly 10 years on multiple computers, however, I've noticed that I can't access previously purchased music from some of the older computers. Can all of my Itunes purchases be consolidated?

    Hello, ted_marx38.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The most common cause for this issue would be media present that is purchased with another Apple ID.  When prompted to authorize the computer it may show a different Apple ID.  If this is the case, the computer will need to be authorized for this Apple ID.  The article below will walk you through the process of verifying if that is the case or correcting the issue if not.

  • HT1351 I have just purchased an ipod classic 160GB and decided to sync my itunes music and videos that I purchased via itunes.  All the music sunk but it didnt sync my videos.  It said that they were in the wrong format.  What to do??

I have just purchased an ipod classic 160GB and decided to sync my itunes music and videos that I purchased via itunes.  All the music sunk but it didnt sync my videos.  It said that they were in the wrong format.  What to do??   I would have thought if I bought the films from itunes it would be compatible with an ipod classic??  How do you change the video format?

My mistake, it was nothing to do with format.  It woldn't sync because my movies were HD.  HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod.  Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions.  Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

  • Can I only use the itunes ID for the music and my other id for my computer and Iphone

Can I just use one Itunes id for Match and another Id for my apps on my phone and my Mac?

If I'm understanding your question correctly, no. iTunes Match is tied to an Apple ID and regional store. Once you sign into an Apple ID on a device and use iTunes Match it is not possible to switch between Apple IDs for 90 days. You will not be able to regularly update your apps.

  • Lost purchased itunes music

my computer went down and i took it to a store to have it repaired, he restored just the my documents and it looks like I lost all my purchased itunes music as the "purchased music" folder is empty. I had several thousand songs that I had bought when I "check for purchases" it says music can only be downloaded once, is there any way to restore this music or get ppurchased songs downloaded again?

Use the form on this page to request a free redownload, or use the Transfer Purchases feature if applicable. If neither of these works, you will need to purchase the content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts, album artwork, and iPod touch/iPhone applications.

  • Music for Videos

    Guys an off-site question.
Can you sugest me web pages where I can buy music for my videos? Based on categories, styles, sound effects, etc
I am doing a video clip for a race car...
    Thanks
    Roberto

As I recall, you are using Premiere Elements 12. Have you checked out the Music Scores and Sound Effects that come with that version?
As for online sources for music for video, I have not used any except for an occasional free offering from iTunes. iTunes music has a history of being problematic in Premiere Elements and may require conversion to .wav prior to use in Premere Elements.
Lots of "music for video" opportunities via the Google Search, but I have not worked with any first hand.

  • HT204053 The entire family has used one itunes account for years. How do we all set up separate iCloud accounts now?

The entire family has used one itunes account for years. How do we all set up separate iCloud accounts now? Or should we? 5 macbooks, 2 ipads, 4 iphones, 2 itouch, 2 imacs.   How does one decide what to sync, share and what not to? Green Jeans.

You need to start by understanding the distinction between iTunes and iCloud - Apple confuse the issue by referring to 'iTunes Match' as part of iCloud. It isn't.
You don't have to have the same login (Apple ID) for iTunes and iCloud; many people don't and there's no problem about it.
Your iCloud ID gets you email, calendars, contacts, iWork documents and PhotoStream syncing between devices.
Your iTunes ID gets you the iTunes Store, the App Store for iOS, the Mac App Store for OSX,, 'iTunes in the Cloud' (downloading of purchased items to any logged-in device) and 'iTunes Match' (uploading of songs not purchased in the iTunes Store).
Your family members can easily each get their own iCloud account to keep email etc. separate - in each case they will need a different non-Apple email address (a free one from Yahoo etc. would do) to set up the ID. If they are sharing a Mac they need to be using a separate user account.
They can have their own iCloud accounts and still all sign into the same iTunes account: or they can open their own iTunes accounts using their new iCloud Apple IDs.
BUT they cannot transfer items purchased under the present iTunes ID to different iTunes IDs.
