Using QI06

Hi,
Has anyone used QI06 successfully to create QIRs from PIRs? I am trying to run the report an selected the "only from purchase info records" checkbox on the initial screen. The report runs but does not create any QIRs.
Also if anyone has used it successfully, then how do we also set variants on the initial screen ? Cos we could be having spare parts and MROs which we dont inspect and which dont need a QIR instead of having a PIR. This tcode seems to be a all or nothing tcode.

Hi GS,
I can suggest you you should give below inputs to run this program.
Plant Code
Only for Purchasing Info Records - Tick on this checkbox
Release until date - As per your need
Then execute. It will show only those records for which purchase infor records have been created in MM module. Select all these records and save.It will create QM infor records in background for the entries those were displayed earlier.
If you have the list of material codes for which you don't want to create QIRs (despite these being the part of PIRs) then you can copy such list and add this as exclusion in materials multiple selection in QI06. These materials will not be considered.
For variant creation -
After specifying the required inputs (with exclusions of selected combinations) just click on save icon, before executing
It will ask for variant name. Give suitable and save.
Next time when you will go in QI06, just click on get variant icon-just next to execute. The saved variant will be called with ready inputs.

Avoiding creation of inspection lot for certain vendors.

Hi,
There is one requirement from my client side , that Inspection lot should not be created for certain vendors ( Issuing plant also consider as vendor here).
The correct requirement is if it is transfered from other plants it should not create the lot and on the other vendors it should create.
We have a have a option through maintaining the QM info record but it was not maintained earlier and newly creation is too difficult.
I remember there is some exit is available to overcome this. Any one having the earlier experince on this...Provide the exit and FM name... High priority one.

1) You can maintain Quality info Record in enmass using QI06. Only maintain for the vendor you need to skip.
2) This exit can help you in controling the inspection lot
QAAT0002 Control of acceptance lots/goods receipt
QBCK0003 Extended QM check for goods receipt

Quality info record mass creation

Hello Guys,
Can we able to do mass creation of quality info records thru QI06 ? I want to load bunch of QIR as a manual load.
I tried using qi06 in add option but I am getting a warning message that QIR is not changed.
Is that only we can change it ? Pls help.

Read follwoing
You can use this program to make mass changes to quality information records. When adding records, you can enter one or several materials. As a rule, the only materials used for processing are those for which QM in Procurement is active in the material master and a vendor release or quality assurance agreement is required by the control key.
You can also select the materials using the material class.
You can enter one or more vendors, for whom a quality information record is to be created.
Using the selection criterion 'Only for purchasing info records', you can create quality information records for all possible material-vendor combinations, provided that purchasing information records already exist for these combinations.
That means first of all you must enter Procurement key in QM view of that Material
Second if you select multiple vendor for a material or maultiple materials with single Vendor.
if you execute this then You will get the list of all possible vendor material combination for which QI can be maintained.
by selecting line you can save them.
The quality info records printed in the list have a traffic light indicator which denotes the following:
Green light: - All data is O.K.
Yellow light: - Ordered quantity is greater than released quantity
        - There is no quality assurance agreement
        - Lock function is active
        - Validity period of QM system has expired
Red light:    - Deletion flag is set
You can select the "Set deletion flag"
function using the menu

Block ifo record when Vendor rating below accp limit

Can a QM Info for a vendor be blocked automatically (by using any enhancement) when the Vendor Quality rating goes below the certain limit.?

Yes and no.
You can use the Q-info record (QI01/QI02/QI03) to release vendors for specific materials. You can use QI06 to mass maintain these. In the info record you can set specific blocks. For instance, you can block any new PO's for the vendor/material combination.
The blocks however are not automatically set. Typcially, someone runs the vendor evaluation on a regular basis (ME61 or ME63) and reviews the poor performing vendors. These vendors can then be blocked using the QI06 transaction as explained above.
Vendor evaluation is not a dynamic value. It is only changed when the vendor evaluation program is run. So their Quality score would not change or 'drop' on a day-to-day basis unless some one ran vendor evaluation on a day-to-day basis. (ME6G sets up a batch job to do this and can be run daily).
To make it automatic, a program would need to be written to look up the vendor scores after the vendor evaluation job was run and then set the block in the quality info record for vendors with a score below a certain value.
Be careful. If you have materials that are primarily single-sourced, you could winid up blocking your only or primary vendor. This can also be especially true for materials that are purchased on an infrequent basis. If you only order twice a year, one failed inspection can swing the Q-score down a lot. Thus possibly blocking your vendor.

Mass maintance for QM data?

HI,Guys.
i have one problem in Mass maintance of Quality vendor information.
Now we create Q-info by QI01 when buyer notify me and provide material p/n and vendor code to do.
i want to know how to mass maintance quality vendor information in SAP( except upload templete) before buyer notify and push me to create q-info? how about QI06? can i use QI06 to mass maintance?.

Hello, i still have question on this.
Get the list of such materials -
( yes ,i can get this from mm50).
Also get information related to corresponding material and Vendor combination list -
( where i get ,from purchase department ? can i get this corresponding from QI06?)
Then For each vendor, collect all materials list. In QI06 specify all materials and that particulat vendor and maintain QI records. You can use this method if all the information in QI record is same.
(after i set vendor code ,plant in QI06,then F8, SAP will show list . what will i do next step? spread out the list to excel and create Q-info by QI01 one by one?)

you can use QI06 T.CODE
here give the plant and below that choose the Diaply tab
you can use display variant to which field you need.
so you can see the material , vendor ,plant and realse quantity and the status of realse and more
check or
check the QINF ( QM-info record for material and vendor )
based on , create the report as you choosed fields

Block function showing differnt from QI06 to QI03 tocde

Hi,
Providing below is my requirement:
I am using SAP ECC 6.0
In QI06 Tcode (QM Releases: Mass maintenance) selection screen I am providing Plant = "XXXX" and in "Change" tab under "Block" section providing value to Block Function = "Qualified" and clicked on execute or F8 button. From the out put I was selected one material(i.e.row) and clicked on Q-inforecord or F9 button as per the selection criteria of selection screen it should show for that particular material as "Qualified" but it is showing under Block section ---> Block Function = Lock Purchase order.
When I click Q-inforecord in QI06Tcode it is going to QI03 Tcode.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Did you save the QI06 output? Did you get the message "nn info records were saved'
Follow these steps
1. In QI06 enter selection criteria
2. when the list of Q info record is displayed, select the records to be saved and click save.
3. you should get the messgae 1 info records were saved.
4.Now go to QI03 transaction and you should see your changes

USER EXIT or BADI to add custom fields in QI06 Output

Hi Gurus,
I have tried to find out Suitable User Exit / BADI to add custom fields in QI06 ( Collective Maintenance Display) output. but in vain..
We found USer Exits -QLIB0001/QLIB0002 .
Badi- QB_PLAN_SELECTION_P, QB_Q_INFO_RECORD,QB_QM_SYSTEM_COMPARE,ALV_SWITCH_GRID_LIST
which are not useful.
So need your Suggestions / help in finding out suitable exit/ BADI.

Hi,
You can use the function module SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME to find more BADI. Set a break point and run QI06 until the end.

Enhancing display output of QI06

I have been asked to see if it is possible to add and fill the field mara-labor to the display output of transaction QI06 (program RQBAAM10). I have not been able to locate a user exit or enhancement for this. If someone knows how this might be possible, I would appreciate your input.

but how can I get this feature in Toad.At the bottom of your window, there are number of tabs. One of them is
DBMS_Output. There is a little red button on the left hand side. Click this.
It will turn green. Then your output is visible - you can click in it and scroll
up through your results.

Assuming you wish to improve typography of your web pages, you should know that Muse is fully integrated with Typekit. This allows you to access and apply over 500 web fonts from within Muse. Here's how you do it:

How can multiple family members use one account?

My children have iphones, ipads, ipods and mac books, my problem is how do you use home sharing with the devices and not get each others data. My Husband just added his iphone to the account and got all of my daughters contacts. I understand they could have there own accounts but if i buy music on itunes and both children want the same song, I don't feel i should have to pay for it twice. Is there away we can have home sharing on the devices and they can pick and choose what they want? and is this icloud going to make it harder to keep their devices seperate?

Iphoto crashing after using mini-dvi to video adapter

Hi, IPhoto on my Macbook is crashing. I can open it, then as soon as I scroll down it locks up and I have to force quit.
This started happening right after I used a Mini-DVI to Video Adapter cable to hook my macbook up to my TV. The adapter/s-video connection worked and I was able to see the video on the tv. But iphoto immediately locked up the computer when I went to slide show and now it locks every time I open it.
Any ideas?

It means that the issue resides in your existing Library.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Using SQVI to generate report of open and released delivery schedule lines

All,
I'm using SQVI to generate an excel spreadsheet for some buyers to show open released schedule lines because they are a 1 line item per scheduling agreement company.
I used the logical database MEPOLDB instead of a table joint and pulled fields from EKKO(vendor, SA #,&purchasing group), EKPO(Material Number), EKEH(schedule line type), and EKET(delivery date, scheduled qty,previous qty).
Does this sound like I'll get the results I want on paper as long as I use the right selection criteria, because the report I'm getting isn't quite what I expect? I am unable to identify which lines are authorized to ship vs. trade-off zone, planning, etc. in the report thus far.

I have faced same requirement. I am not sure about transporting to TST and PROD. I done by this way.
After generating SQVI program in DEV , I assigned that program to a transaction and tested in DEV. Later i have regenarated SQVI in Production. then I assigned the generated Program to same transaction in DEV. And transported the Tcode assignment of program to Production..
About authorization , if its not sensitive report, BASIS can restrict at transaction level.
