Using Reader 11, unable now to add text in a document where it worked before

With Adobe Reader XI the Comment - Annotations - Add Text Comment tool lets you add text.
Make sure your install of Reader is version "XI" and that "XI" is fully updated.
If that is already the case give "Repair" a whirl (under "Help").

Happy to report that iTunes Match has returned to working like normal on iTunes 10.7 on my computer today. If any iTunes engineers read this thread, I really appreciate the fix.

Go into your settings and you can adjust the text and the contrast on your phone.
I wear bifocals and I'm not having an issue and my eyes appreciate the reduction of clutter.

Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files

3. Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
1. Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.

Start from your recovery system. OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion includes a built in set of utilities in the Recovery System. Restart your Mac and hold down the Command key and the R key (Command-R), and keep holding them until the Apple icon appears, indicating that your Mac is starting up. After the Recovery System is finished starting up, you should see a desktop with a OS X menu bar and a "Mac OS X Utilities" application window. Note: If you see a login window or your own desktop and icons, it is possible that you didn't hold Command-R early enough. Restart and try again.
When your computer finishes starting up, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities window.
Click the First Aid tab. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
Select your OS X volume.
Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.

I tried to open a file using reader 10. Now reader has taken over all my apps including explorer and live mail and nothing will open unless I uninstall reader. System is windows 7. How can I reverse this?

I was trying to open a file, the box came up saying that windows could not open the file and choose another program to open the file, I chose reader as it was the first option offered. Reader could not open the file either but when I closed the file I fount that nearly all the desktop icons had changed to reader icons and when I tried to open them a box comes up advising that reader cannot open that file. The only way that I can open my apps is to uninstall reader. When I uninstall reader the Icons return to normal. As soon as I re install reader all my icons change back to reader icons. How can I reverse this?

I realized I needed to change this right away and tried to sign out and restart with my own apple id, but it won't let me sign out in the middle of setting up. It says something about if I don't sync documents, all documents will be deleted from this computer, but I don't want to download all his work documents. Having signed out as suggested above, go to http://appleid.apple.com and create a new Apple ID if you don't already have one. You will need a working email address which is different from that in the ID already in use.

I have an IPad and use Pages. Now half of my documents are gone. Where did they go and how do I get them back.

If you backup your iPad, then the documents should be in your backup. If you have important documents in any app, you should backup very frequently in the event that something happens so that you can restore them from the backup.
If you use iOS file sharing with iTunes, then the documents might be in your iTunes library.
If you use iCloud with Pages, check in iCloud,com and see if they appear in there. I don't think it is likely that they will be there, if they disappeared from the iPad, but it is worth a try anyway.
In the event that this is some software glitch, try closing the Pages app, reboot the iPad and then launch Pages again.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the Pages icon. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you don't backup, don't use iOS file sharing or don't use iCloud, then most likely your files are gone and you will not be able to retrieve them.

Having issues playing videos texted to me. They always worked before.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

I can no longer read my adobe files in my documents, where I could before, what's changed? Help!

I could previously view these files with no problem, I have all the latest versions of adobe and plug in installed, when I try and open a file it tells me adobe reader could not open the file I am trying to open because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged. I don't understand what is going on and need access to these files. Can anyone help please?

I think you need to change your Windows Explorer settings to show the file extensions, then you can clearly see what file types you have.
Those with .doc / .docx extensions should show the blue Word icon.
Those with .pdf extensions should show the red Adobe Reader icon.

What is the best way to add text to an image

I used the draw ap div to add text to an image. will that cause any problems? If so, what is the best way to add text to an image? Thanks!

APDivs will kill your design unless you fully understand the css behind the scenes and plan accordingly. They really are completely unnecessary in the vast majority of situations.
An easy way to add "web text over an image" would be to use the background-image attribute in css for a standard <div> tag, then just add the text within that same <div>.
Something like this in the css (if you are using a 300x300 pixel image)...
#yourdiv {
     background-image:url(yourpic.jpg);
     width:300px;
     height:300px;
And then this in the html...
<div id="yourdiv">Your text here</div>
You would then position the <div> using css margins, floats and padding. Using position:absolute (APDivs) is typically something that will blow your design to pieces if the viewer changes their browser settings.

Acrobat XI Pro "add text comment" not working

In Acrobat, my "Add Text Comment" comment feature no longer works. I am using Acrobat XI Pro on Win7.
The property "Locked" vs Make Property Default fix on these forums did not work for me.
When I click on a document to add a text comment,
1. Acrobat creates a small square (uneditable)
2. Acrobat adds a comment to the comments list
I am unable to type any text, nor edit the box, nor change the box's size, nor see the properties.
Any thoughts are appreciated as to how to fix this feature.

Hi cpa-michael,
If this issue appears in any PDF that you try to add comments to, please repair the Acrobat installation by choosing Help > Repair Acrobat Installation.
If the issue appears only in one PDF file, that PDF may be damaged and you can try Saving As to repair the document, or you can try to "refry" the PDF by printing to PDF from within Acrobat.

Using a field to subtract or add to a number field in the database

Hi everyone I use Jdeveloper 1.5 with ADF and have the following functionality
I have 3 fields
Account withdrawing from:
Account depositing to:
Sum:
In the database I have 2 tables clients and accounts. Client table has client name, adress phone, account number which is a foreign key in a one to many relationship with accounts. Accounts table has account number and account balance which is a number and represents the amount of money u have in your account. Each client has one or more accounts and can put money in other people's accounts or transfer between his own accounts (if he has more than one) So what I want is for the fields above to withdraw the sum from the account and deposit into another account or throw an error "Not enough funds" if the account withdrawing from has less money in it than is written in the field.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to do this and was hoping u guys could help.

How do I do this? When you say query you mean sql query right? The thing is I'm not sure if I will be allowed to use Jdeveloper for this or will have to use Dreamweaver so would love to use as much SQL as possible.

Pdf files - how can I add text to a pdf file

I want to allow my Google group to fill info out on a Numbers form, but the Mac users evidently don't have Numbers. I sent it to them as a pdf file, but text can't be added to it as a pdf file. There has got to be a way. I tried using Tools - annotate - add text, but that didn't really work. Any help?

You need to make sure that you have permission to make changes to the document.
How to check the permission. Open the pdf document in Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
Click on File --> Properties. Once the properties windows pops up, click on security tab. Under security please check Restrictions Summary:
