Using RZ20 monitoring values in Redwood

Hi All,
We need your help.
We are fetching all the CCMS monitoring values from the SAP system (RZ20) into Cronacle. We are able to see the monitoring trees and the nodes in Redwood. Even the monitoring values from SAP are getting updated in Redwood which is very fine.
But now we want to use these CCMS monitoring values and configure our queues accordingly like depending on the CPU utilization % of the SAP server, No. of Free Background Work process available, etc. But we are not sure as to how to use them in this scenarios.
Where in a queue do we define,  say, when the alert value of CPU utlization is 95, lower the queue size. How do we do this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Good Day
Warm Regards
Rajeet

Hi Anton,
Thanks a lot again for your in-valuable inputs.
We have managed to make a script to change the queue as per our requirement. We have 2 queues for ad hoc and periodic jobs respectively and for altering the queue based on the day of the month. We plan to create these type of scripts which will get triggered when the number of batch processes available in SAP changes (using Redwood monitoring tree values). We are planning to add time window (one time window per SAP operation mode) restriction on execution of these scripts. In below example the mix of periodic & ad hoc jobs is 80 & 20 % respectively in month end.
But we are not able to figure out the problem with compilation of this script. Request you to have a look and suggest changes. Thanks a lot.
Warm regards,
Rajeet

  • How can i use two monitors in my application?

    Hello,
    Background
    I have a dual monitor card and two monitors which I want to use in my LabView application. The application gathers data from a complex sensor and calculates a number of results which need to be displayed graphically, this happens every 10 seconds or so. There is an awful lot of graphs which may be needed to be seen at some time but not routinely. The idea is that one monitor will display all the standard routinely displayed things and will not have any user input whilst the second monitor will display a tab control which has all the other graphs pickable.
    Question
    What I want to know is how I can programmatically tell labVIEW to put one vi up in one monitor and another vi in the other. I would then have them both maximised (which I know how to do). I would rather have the monitors set up as individual and that way I could keep the windows control bar on one monitor only. Thus one monitor would be a true user interface and the other simply a display.
    Basically how do I tell LabVIEW to use one monitor for a specific vi and not the other.
    The card I have is a matrox p650. Any comments would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Kevin

    Hallo,
    with new version of LV its more easy, but it also hasn't any troubles with LabVIEW 6.x or 7.x.
    Especially with Matrox P650 you will get no any problems (we using
    exactly this card together with G550 and our application supported
    three monitors at the same time.).
    I recommend to you following sequence:
    - After installing driver turn on option for supporting different
    resoluton on different monitors. As result you will get two absolutely
    separate monitors.
    - In Windows define which one is primary and which one is secondary.
    (On primary monitor located taskbar and all messages dialog boxes will
    appear.).
    - Arrange secondary monitor in display properties - where he located (left from primary, or right)
    - In your VI (which must appear on second monitor) use
    FrontPanel.PanelBounds Property Node for positioning. You must set four
    values for two corners. Easiest way to found right values is following:
    read this property node in while loop and put indicator on front panel.
    Then run VI, drag front panel onto second monitor and resize if
    necessary, and then you will see right values for PanelBounds. You can
    write this property node programmatically in run-time too.
    hope it help,
    good luck.

  • "The 'charCode' property of a keyup event should not be used. The value is meaningless." Is this possibly caused by a virus?

    I don't know what's wrong with my Mac Mozilla Firefox, version 3.6.8, but today, it started alerting me about an error message on the "Error Console". In every website I visit, it tells me: "The 'charCode' property of a keyup event should not be used. The value is meaningless." Is this possibly caused by a virus?
    I saw a pop-up which did not allow me to click it when I scatter the windows on my Mac. I was using Private Browsing, with pop-ups disabled, but one pop-up managed to get passed my settings, and open in another window. It would not allow me to select it, so all I did was to close Firefox, and start a new session. So far, everything has been normal, I also deleted the cookies it installed.
    But, I still keep seeing that "Error Console" notice under my "Tools" on the Menu Bar, and when I clicked on it, it listed errors (such as what I listed above).
    Would someone explain this to me?
    Thanks for your help!

    The messages you see in the Error Console are mostly to assist the web site's author in resolving compatibility problems. Some of them can assist you in determining why a web site doesn't work as intended. The one you mentioned doesn't sound that suspicious, except that it occurs on many sites. Perhaps one of your add-ons is trying to monitor what you type?
    To diagnose whether this is caused by an add-on or one of your settings, you could try the following:
    First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
    Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
    [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
    Does that resolve the errors? If so, then an add-on usually is the culprit. If not, try creating a new (blank) profile: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].
    If the new profile works correctly, you can choose between further research on your old profile or moving key settings like bookmarks from your old profile to the new one. [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile Recovering important data from an old profile].
    Hope this helps.

  • Using different monitors?

    Hello! I have an old G3 B/W that I was using an old dinosaur of a monitor with. I am running 8.6 on it because I mainly use it for my Agfa Arcus II scanner. I also have a PowerBook G3 Pismo and PowerBook G5. I have a 17" Studio display that I use with the G4 using the apple adapter. I thought I would use it with the G3 B/W and bought a DVI gender changer and a VGA gender changer but it still won't work with the G3 B/W. So, I am wondering if it would be possible to use the monitor on either of my PowerBooks with the G3 B/W? Or, any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Here is the story on the Display card for the Blue & White G3, from the developer note for the Blue & White G3:
    Monitor Adapter
    An monitor adapter (included with the computer) allows the user to connect a standard Apple monitor cable to the computer. The adapter enables the computer to recognize a wide range of monitor types. The Apple part number for the adapter is 590-1120.
    Monitor Sense Codes
    To identify the type of monitor connected, the computer first determines whether the adapter is connected. It does this by checking pin 11; on the new adapter, this pin is connected to the VSYNC signal.
    If the adapter is not found, the computer next checks to determine whether a DDC-type monitor is connected. DDC is the interface that provides monitor ID signals for VGA and SVGA monitors.
    If the computer does not detect a DDC-capable monitor, it uses the Apple monitor sense codes on the signals MONID(0–2) in Table 3-4. Table 3-5 shows the sense codes and the extended sense codes for each of the monitors the card can support.
    Note The Apple Studio Display 17"/viewable 16" is listed in Table 3-5 with sense code value $06-23, but it is identified using DDC on most Macintosh computers.
    Executive Summary:
    If you hook up a VGA-connector display DIRECTLY to the Blue & White G3, it should provide its capabilities via Digital Data Channel (DDC), or the Mac will assume it is an old Mac Display, whose code will be "NO Display attached", and produce No picture.
    Older Mac (two-row) displays should use adapter 590-1120 and no other.

  • Issues with using 3 monitors on 2 external gpu

    Hi,
    I have some issues with configuring Xorg to use 3 monitors. I have 2 external graphic cards (same model, no SLI). Monitors connected to the first gpu are recognized ok but I can't configure my 3rd monitor conencted to the second gpu via HDMI nor DVI.

    Thanks for any help!

    I have  a similar issue except with two ATI cards and four monitors.
    I have a working xorg.conf that uses Xinerama and all 4 work but have been trying to get xrandr to work since xinerama is deprecated supposedly.
    I would like to switch to xrandr but there is some kind of magic voodoo I have with my current xorg.conf that doesn't even work on an exact same machine and cards that I tried to setup for a co-worker.

    My Xorg.0.log shows all the DVI connections when I don't use a xorg.conf file but only two are "connected"
    I see DVI-0 and DVI-1 connected and in "xrandr -q" but in Xorg.0.log I see DVI-1-2 and DVI-1-3.
    xrandr --listproviders show the two cards as well.
    Tried "xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 1 0" and they show up in KDE but as clones and then X crashes eventually.
    "xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 0 1" just plain crashes X

  • How to use cfloop index value as part of another variable

    Hello,
    I have a RATE form that first asks "how many rates will you
    be adding?" that answer generates a series of form elements based
    on the answer. You then have a form grid to populate, 3 values for
    each rate (price, code, name).
    This part works fine. The issue is now I need to INSERT the
    values into the table, so I need to use the INDEX value of the
    cfloop to recreate the amount (and names) of the fields in the
    INSERT statement. How do I escape, or re-create the evaluated form
    elements ( in which their count is #i# as the loop goes) when I
    need to evaluate for #i# AND evaluate for #form.sku_i_name# at the
    same pass?
    I am passing, for example, #form.sku_2_Name# where that might
    equal "Half Page". The number 2 in that variable was assigned
    during the form creation by the current index of a cfloop. Since my
    action (insert) page does not know how many (out of 50 possible)
    sku's are coming, how do I use the skuCount (another hidden value
    passed as well) to create a proper INSERT SQL command when I need
    to eval the form element and the index at the same time?
    Obviously #sku_#i#_Name# does not work, and #sku_i_Name# does
    not either... I know this can be done, and that I am just doing it
    wrong.
    Thanks for any help!

    how it works
    As all three of us indicated you use array notation for this
    type of
    requirement. In ColdFusion you can use array notation or dot
    notation
    to access structure data. Almost all data in ColdFusion is
    now some
    type of structure.
    I.E. #Form['myField']# is the same as #Form.myField#.
    The advantage is that with array notation you can do things
    you can not
    do with dot notation. You can reference elements that have
    keys that
    are illegal variable names such as one with a space.
    I.E. #url['my field'] is allowed, #url.my field# would fail
    or course.
    And you can concatenate the key string as we did with your
    example.
    I.E. #Form['aString' & aVariable]#
    There are many powerful things one can do with this
    knowledge. One can
    access record sets with array notations. This can allow for
    very
    sophisticated parsing of a record set.
    I.E. #myQuery['column'][row]#
    You can dynamical call a variable. Thus creating dynamic code
    that does
    not even need to know what variables exist until run time.
    I.E. #variables[anyName]#
    This just scratches the surface.

  • Using LDAP to search attribute bit flags using attribute OID values

    Hello everyone,
    My question stems from trying to understand the OID and syntax behind this classic LDAP search to find disabled users:
    "(useraccountcontrol:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)"
    What I am interested in is the value 1.2.840.113556.1.4.803, specifically how it differentiates from the value 1.2.840.113556.1.4.8, which is the OID of the useraccountcontrol attribute:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms680832(v=vs.85).aspx
    Now, this website below says that the 03 and 04 are designators of the AND and OR operations, respectively, and are added on to the end of the OID:
    https://www.appliedtrust.com/blog/2011/04/keeping-your-active-directory-pantry-order
    However, using this logic, I can't get these 03 and 04 operators to work with other attribute OID's that use flags as values, such as the "searchflags" attribute, e.g. a LDAP search of "(searchflags:=1.2.840.113556.1.2.33404:=0)
    returns nothing, using the OR (04) operation at the end of the "searchflags" OID of 1.2.840.113556.1.2.334.
    So back to my original question, for the useraccountcontrol OID of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.8, is this OID at all related to the bitwise AND extensible match of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.803 (like just adding a 03 to designate an AND operation), or is this
    extensible match
    value of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.803 completely separate from the useraccountcontrol OID of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.8?
    If I have my terms mixed up, please feel free to correct me on what the proper terms are.
    Thanks!

    Hmm yeah I posted that link above in my OP as well, and I was hoping that the OID values of these bitwise filters were somehow related to the shorter OID of the "useraccountcontrol" attribute, but it looks like it's just a coincidence.
    So I wonder if the "useraccountcontrol" section of
    this article from my OP is a little misleading when it says:
    To make a comparison, we either need to use the LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_BIT_AND rule (1.2.840.113556.1.4.803), or the LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_BIT_OR rule (1.2.840.113556.1.4.804) for our attribute OID (the AND rule adds a 03 suffix to denote the AND operation,
    and the OR rule adds a 04 suffix).
    Following this logic, I should be able to use the "03" and "04" in other bitwise operations with different OID's to search "AND" or "OR", but as I pointed out in my OP above, I can't seem to make this work with adding the
    "03" and "04" onto the end of other OID's. So I will go with Christoffer that these bitwise OID's (1.2.840.113556.1.4.803 and 1.2.840.113556.1.4.804) are unique in themselves, and the fact that they are 2 characters away from the OID of the "useraccountcontrol"
    attribute (1.2.840.113556.1.4.8) is just coincidence.
    This does seem strange however, and it seems like there should be some correlation here....
    If anyone has any more info, I would love to hear it!

  • Using 3 monitors on the HP 700-327c

    greetings,
    We need to use 3 monitors on our HP 700-327c with Win 7,64 bit OS.  What do i need to do to make this happen.
    Thanks in advance,
    LCF

    From the specs:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c04291966&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
    you have an integrated graphic.
    Have you already tried to use both slots you have?
    If you don't have high requirements for monitor settings you can try one of these for a third monitor:
    http://www.evga.com/products/pdf/100-U2-UV19-TR.pdf
    http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-Universal-Multi-Display-Adapter-Black/dp/B002F9NSMQ/ref=pd_cp_e_1
    They will use your current graphics device.
    Else you can search for an additional graphics card which supports 3 monitors and doesn't need more than a 300W psu.
    The integrated graphic will be disabled then, so you need three ports!

  • I have 12 core with Quatro 4000 and 5770, I want to use dual monitor setup, monitors are NEC with Spectraview-II.  How do I connect?  4000 only has 1 Display Port and 1 DVI.  5770 has 2 of each, if I use both 5770 Display Ports, does the 4000 contribute?

    I just bought a 12 core with Quatro 4000 and 5770, I want to use dual monitor setup, monitors are NEC with Spectraview-II.  How do I connect?  4000 only has 1 Display Port and 1 DVI.  5770 has 2 of each, if I use both 5770 Display Ports, does the 4000 contribute any work at all?  I read where on a PC they would work together, but on a MAC they do not.
    I read that Display Port has higher band width than DVI, NEC monitors for best performance they recommend using DIsplay Port.
    When I was setting this up I looked at a Nvidia Quadro 4000, unfortunately it was for PC, it had 2 Display Ports, in the Mac version they reduce it to one.  I did not think there could be a difference.
    Mainly want to use it for CS6 and LR4.
    How to proceed???
    I do not want to use the Quadro 4000 for both, that would not optimize both monitors, one DP and 1 DVI.  Using just the 5770 would work but I do not think the 4000 would be doing anything, and the 5770 has been replaced by the 5870.more bandwidth.
    Any ideas, I am a Mac newbie, have not ever tried a Mac Pro, just bought off ebay and now I have these problems.
    As a last resort I could sell both and get a 5870.  That would work, I'm sure of that, it's just that I wanted the better graphics card.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    The Hatter,
    I am a novice at Mac so I read all I can.  From what I understand the NEC monitors I bought require Display Port for their maximum performance.  The GTX 680 only has DVI outputs.  Difference from what I understand is larger bandwidth with the DP.
    You said I have the 4000 for CUDA.  I am not all that familiar with CUDA and when I do read about it I do not understand it.
    A concern I have is, that if I connect the 2 high end NEC monitors via the 5770, using it's 2 Display Ports I would have nothing connected to the 4000.  Is the 4000 doing anything with nothing connected?  I read where in a PC system the 2 cards would interact but in a Mac system they do not.
    Bottom line, as I see it, the 4000 will not be useful at all to me, since I want a dual monitor set-up.
    So far the 5870 seems the best choice, higher band width than the 5770, and it has 2 Display Ports to optimize the NEC monitors.
    I'm not sure how fine I am splitting hairs, nor do I know how important those hairs are.  I am just trying to set up a really fast reliable system that will mainly be used for CS6 and LR4.  Those NEC monitors are supposed to be top notch.

  • Getter/setter methods -- how do I use the return values

    I'm just learning Java, and I haven't been to this site since the end of July, I think. I have a question regarding getter and setter methods. I switched to the book Head First Java after a poster here recommended it. I'm only about a hundred pages into the book, so the code I'm submitting here reflects that. It's the beginnings of a program I'd eventually like to complete that will take the entered information of my CD's and alphabetize them according to whatever criteria I (or any user for that matter) choose. I realize that this is just the very beginning, and I don't expect to have the complete program completed any time soon -- it's my long term goal, but I thought I could take what I'm learning in the book and put it to practical use as I go along (or at lest try to).
    Yes I could have this already done it Excel, but where's the fun and challenge in that? :) Here's the code:
    // This program allows the user to enter CD information - Artist name, album title, and year of release -- and then organizes it according the the user's choice according to the user's criteria -- either by artist name, then title, then year of release, or by any other order according to the user's choice.
    //First, the class CDList is created, along with the necessary variables.
    class CDList{
         private String artistName;//only one string for the artist name -- including spaces.
         private String albumTitle;//only one string the title name -- including spaces.
         private int yearOfRelease;
         private String recordLabel;
         public void setArtistName(String artist){
         artistName = artist;
         public void setAlbumTitle(String album){
         albumTitle = album;
         public void setYearOfRelease(int yor){
         yearOfRelease = yor;
         public void setLabel(String label){
         recordLabel = label;
         public String getArtistName(){
         return artistName;
         public String getAlbumTitle(){
         return albumTitle;
         public int getYearOfRelease(){
         return yearOfRelease;
        public String getLabel(){

    void printout () {
           System.out.println ("Artist Name: " + getArtistName());
           System.out.println ("Album Title: " + getAlbumTitle());
           System.out.println ("Year of Release: " + getYearOfRelease());
           System.out.println ("Record Label: " + getLabel());
           System.out.println ();
    import static java.lang.System.out;

                Record[x].getYearOfRelease();
                Record[x].getLabel();
                Record[x].printout();
         }//end main
    }//end class          First, I'd like to ask anyone out there to see if I could have written this any more efficiently, with the understanding that I'm only one hundred pages into the book, and I've only gotten as far as getter and setter methods, instance variables, objects and methods. The scanner feature I got from another book, but I abandoned it in favor of HFJ.
    Secondly --
    I'm confused about getter and setter methods -- I'd like someone to explain to me what they are used for exactly and the difference between the two. I have a general idea, that getters get a result from the method and setters set or maybe assign a value to variable. I submitted this code on another site, and one of the responders told me I wasn't using the returned values from the getter methods (he also told me about using a constructor method, but I haven't got that far in the book yet.). The program compiles and runs fine, but I can't seem to figure out how I'm not using the returned values from the getter methods. Please help and if you can explain in 'beginners terms,' with any code examples you think are appropriate. It will be greatly appreciated.
    By the way, I'm not a professional programmer -- I'm learning Java because of the intellectual exercise and the fun of it. So please keep that in mind as well.

    First, I'd like to ask anyone out there to see if I could have written this any more efficiently, with the understanding that I'm only one hundred pages into the book, and I've only gotten as far as getter and setter methods, instance variables, objects and methods. The scanner feature I got from another book, but I abandoned it in favor of HFJ.Yes, there is tons you could have done more efficiently. But this is something every new programmer goes through, and I will not spoil the fun. You see, in 3 to 6 months when you have learned much more Java, assuming you stick with it, you will look back at this and be like "what the hell was I thinking" and then realize just haw far you have come. So enjoy that moment and don't spoil it now by asking for what could have been better/ more efficient. If it works it works, just be happy it works.

    I'm confused about getter and setter methods -- I'd like someone to explain to me what they are used for exactly and the difference between the two. So you are basically setting anyone up who responds to the post for a trap that could make them look bad when you double post.
    You are setting you getters and setters up right as far as I can tell. Which tells me that I think you grasp that a getter lets another class get the variables data, and a setter lets another class set the data. One thing, be sure to use the full variable name so you should have setRecordLabel() and getRecodLabel() as opposed to setLabel() and getLabel(). Think about what happens if you go back and add a label field to the CDList class, bad things the way you have it currently. Sometimes shortcuts are not your friend.
    And yes, you are using the getters all wrong since you are not saving off what they return, frankly I am suprised it compiles. It works because you don't really need to use the getters where you have them since the CDList Record (should be lowercase R by the way) object already knows the data and uses it in the printout() method. Basically what you are doing in lines like:
    Record[x].getArtistName();is asking for the ArtistName in Record[x] and then getting the name and just dropping it on the floor. You need to store it in something if you want to keep it, like:
    String artistName = Record[x].getArtistName();See how that works?
    Hope this helped, keep up the good learning and good luck.

  • How to use the prompted value in the filter expression

    Hi
    Is it possible to use the prompted value in the filter expression?
    My requirement is that user will be prompted for a date field and I need to filter the records such that the records are displayed for the last 5 weeks from the date entered by the user.
    If somehow I know how to use the prompted value in the filter expression then this requirement is easy to be done. If this is possible, please guide me?
    If there are other ways to acheive the desired results then please suggest.
    Thanks

    Table created.
