Using same template, but page jumps

Hi. I have created 4 pages using the same template. Each has a div tag inserted for a small paragraph of text. They are all set at 35 px from the top of the screen, yet only 3 of them hold that position. Is there a reason, is the text stretching the div and stretching the page? can this be controlled? Perhaps with a scroll bar?
thank you

People really need to see the pages live to offer any real kind of support - it's the only way that the code is available for troubleshooting.
Can you upload the all the files associated with your pages and post a link to them ?

  • How to create a multipage PDF with same template but dynamically varying data?

    Hello,
    I need to create a multi-page PDF where I need to use the same template but dynamically varying data.
    Eg Scenario:
    1. I have data for 5 material in my ABAP program.
    2. I have a PDF template in SFP which has a 2 page structure.
    3. Based on the number of materials (5 in this case), I need to generate a PDF which will have 10 pages (2 for each material).
    4. the generated PDF should be like the one shown below:
    e.g.  MATERIAL_PDF (pdf name)
          |  Page1(Mat1[View1].data)
          |  Page2(Mat1[View2].data)
          |  Page3(Mat2[View1].data)
          |  Page4(Mat2[View2].data)
          |  Page5(Mat3[View1].data)
          |  Page6(Mat3[View2].data)
             .. and so on...
    Thanks,
    Aniket

    Isn't it just by setting the two pages into a form ( like an subform in the content ) and put the settings in a proper way?
    There is this setting, that the masterpage comes up everytime the pagecount is done.
    Example
    Page 1 3 5 --> Masterpage 1
    Page 2 4 6 --> Masterpage 2
    And the designview with the flowing data, you can do it by scripting to get to the next page after the pos is finished.
    Unfortunaly I do not got a system atm, so I hope the explaination give you a clue, where to search.

  • DIR creation using a template, but template file is not in content Server

    HI Sap Gurus,
    We have a scenario where in we are planning to maintain a different template Files /documents in SAP DMS,
    The user will use this templates to update his details and save the filled in details back accordingly.
    so i have uploaded few files / templates in DC30 for a particular Workstation Application to be used as templates,
    but this templates are not stored in the content server for the client wide access, so if i have uploaded the file from my system only i can access or work with the template,
    why is it so, why is the template not stored in a content server so that every user can access this,
    is there any other better way of maintaining the templates in SAP DMS. please let me know.
    Points Awaiting
    Thanks and regards
    Sathish

    Hi
    There are two options to store templates
    1) Source File :- Where you give the File path in ur PC
    2) Source Document :- It takes the template from a DIR stored - the orginal may be stored in the content server
    Now you have used option 1)..
    Go for 2 ) and store the original in the content server. This will help all users to access the template

    Hi Experts,

    As per my knowledge ,it is possible through create new aliases with different URLs in network.
    But i dont how to create. Please help on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Prasad

    Hi Prasad,
    Please explain in clear english as to what is your requirement. I got lost after "two company user" . I suppose it means there are users from two separate company: A and B. They were using same portal till now: http://commonportal:50000/irj/portal.
    Now they need different urls - specific for each company say companyAportal.com and companyBportal.com. But still the same old common portal in the end.
    If that's your requirement please search the forum with correct terms, else "Google".
    Thanks,

  • Templates not uploading all pages using same template.

    Hey guys, I'm having difficulties with Dreamweaver at the moment.
    Here's the problem:
    I've created a template for my current website. This file has .dwt so it's the template.
    I've created so far 3 different pages using html and the template.dwt file.
    The template has a editable region for the content.
    But, I was editing the non editable regions, like the naviagation links and names.
    I changed some information on the template file, pressed Ctrl+S then this window popped up:
    http://prntscr.com/nd36z
    Yes, it works so far according to dream weaver template guides, but I have 2 other pages using the templates which are named index.html and staffinfo.html, which is not showing up there.
    After I pressed update: It shows:
    http://prntscr.com/nd3cj
    I'm wondering what might be the problem there. I had a look at the html code on my other 2 pages that wern't displayed, and at the top it was linked with the template file name which was the same as the "offguides".
    Another question i want to ask is, is there a way to update a template without already having to open the files with the templates on? Because at the moment, I have to open all the files with the template on, then save them manually after I saved the template. Because if i have like 1000 different pages using the same templates it would be quite time consuming to keep pressing save and open 1000 different tabs for the pages. So is there like a auto update & save? The two other pages doesn't show up in the pop-up window, but if I open them the templates updates them, but i still have to save manually.
    Thanks for reading, hope this can be solved.
    James.

    Jon, ohh, I'd try it, but there is no Page from template:   http://prntscr.com/nd7oa

  • My HTML code works fine in IE8 but pages "jump" slightly to the right and left in Firefox

    I have created a website that looks and works fine in IE8 but in Firefox some of the pages jump a couple of pixels to the left. I have tried to debug it but cannot find any coding errors.

  • Using Avery Templates with Pages

    I am new to Pages. I want to format Avery 8387 Card in Pages instead of Microsoft Word. Are there Avery templates in Pages like there are in Word. Can I use Pages to make Avery labels? Please help!

    Cards are rectangles.
    Rectangles can be drawn and arranged in position on a page with minor use of maths.
    As fruhulda has said Pages will open the Word documents supplied by Avery.
    …and guess what's on those Word documents?

  • Why does my template created page jump out of sync?

    Hi there
    I'm relatively new at this, having read classroom in a book on Dreamweaver CS6 I thought I'd attempt my own website.
    I't's relatively simple and contains only 4 pages derived from a template.
    3 of the pages look fine and jumping from one to another everything is precisely registered.
    1 page however refuses to play ball and is horizontally out of register with the other 3 pages- it moves about 3 mm to the left
    I've isolated this as being down to the text in the main editable region. If I remove a paragraph (it doesn't matter which one) it returns to being in register with the other pages.
    When creating the template itself I did leave a lesser amount of text in situ in the editable region so that I could simply cut and paste over it,  I also did this for the heading which seems to work fine.
    Below is the problem page code About Graphic Communication and a welcome page code which is fine
    Also attached link to site which is being hosted externally (set up by someone who knows what they are doing)

    Any help would be gratefully received
    Many thanks

        <p>As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been inspired to draw and paint, so a career in art and design was always on the cards.</p>
        <p>After 4 years studying graphic design to degree standard at Cornwall College, I graduated as a diploma member of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers in 1982.</p>
        <p>Over the years, I’ve worked in Audio Visual, Packaging and POS, Cosmetics and Beauty Products, Engineering, Christian Publicity and the Pharmaceutical Industry, to name but a few. Starting out  with paste-up artwork on drawing boards, hand drawn marker visuals, and long hours in darkrooms, time has seen many changes with equipment and working methods. However, though the tools have changed, my aim has always remained the same — to produce effective, relevant, graphic communication.</p>
        <p>Graphic communication is everything — it has always been. From the very first marks we humans ever made representing our ideas and experiences, to today’s fast changing digital world, and beyond, it’s the culmination of an inventive ideas process that effectively communicates our intent and values to others.</p>
        <p>For the designer, it means a partnership between the client's aims and the designer’s creativity, defining a common vision and honing all the possibilities of outcome into a single bespoke solution that’s distinctly right for your business, not someone else’s.</p>
        <p>Good design simply means great graphic communication.</p>

    Normally you would have an external style sheet for your site. Each page would be linked to that style sheet.
    In your case, you have placed the style rules in the document, which is Ok except when it comes to maintenance.
    To answer your question, place the code just above the body style rules as in
    html {
      overflow-y:scroll;
    body {
      background-color: #000;
      text-align: center;
      margin: 0px;
      padding: 0px;
      color: #EEE;
    If you do have plans to use an external style sheet, the rule for the html will not adversely affect other pages.

  • Is there a way to use old templates from Pages '09 in Pages 5.0?

    Another surprise in Pages 5.0:  When I choose one of the (many) templates I used in Pages '09 (v4.3), I get a message saying that the template is old and has to be used in Pages '09. So it looks like I'll need to redo all my templates if I want to use them in Pages 5.0. Is there an easier way?

    Thank you for your reply, Peggy. Sorry about the delay in this response.
    I opened P09>P09 Menu>General Preferences>For New Documents>Show Template Chooser>My Templates>chose old document (in this case, an envelope)>File>Save>entered a new name. I closed P09. Opened P5>chose to open with Show Document Chooser>My Templates>the new Template was not there. I went to Finder>Library....My Templates> the new document (envelope) was there, but it showed as an envelope, not like the other Templates (which showed the p5 logo with a small blue ruler at the bottom).
    I was able to open a lot of my previous (newer) templates with P5 if I opened P5 to Show Template Chooser. But...when I Open P5>File>there is no "New from Template Chooser" in that File menu. That menu starts with New, Open...,  and Recent. There is no "New from Template Chooser". In P09, I could be working on a Pages document, and could go File>and "New From Template Chooser" would be there. As I said, it's not present in P5.
    Concerning the re-saving of an old template, is there anything else I should be doing? Secondly, is there a solution to my missing File choice for "New from Template Chooser"?

  • Multiple users using same files, but with different libraries

    My wife and I both have our own iPhone 3Gs. We also have separate user accounts on our MacBook Pro. We would like to share the music/video files that we've got stored on a network drive, but we don't want to have the same library file. We both have different tastes in music, so I'd prefer if our song ratings were separate, as well as the rest of the library info (namely "last played date"). Is there a way that we can keep separate library files, but also be able to have new song purchases on one library automatically added to the other?

    And it would be enough to get to the title of the button
    The sender param should be a pointer to the originating button, and you can use the button's tag property to id it. E.g.:
    -(IBAction) setSize:(id)sender {
    UIButton *button = sender;
    NSString *title = button.currentTitle;
    int tag = button.tag;
    NSLog(@"sender=%@, title=%@, tag=%d", sender, title, tag);

  • HT1668 I cannot remove the draft write mail template from the mail application screen. Save draft works but cancel does not remove the draft template. I can send email using the template but it remains on screen preventing me from accessing any mail

    Still can't get rid of the template page

    I am not at all sure about what you are calling a draft email template. I have never seen one in the mail app and unless this is something that you created in Pages or some other word processing program I don't know what template you are describing.
    Anyway, this may work. Quit the mail app and them go back and see if the draft is still on the screen.
    Quit the app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Or try this.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons

    We upgraded 3 out of 4 workstation to Acrobat Pro XI and since then we've been unable to use the Create PDF from scanner.
    The scanner hasn't changed (Dell MFP) and the driver hasn't changed either. Our colleague who's still using v9.2 PRO is able to create PDF from scanner (using B&W preset) with no issues.
    We on the other hand are no longer able to create PDF from scanner - it throws an error message saying the scanner model does not support presets: it DOES! (since the other user can do it).
    The only difference is that we've upgraded.
    The only way we can get the scanner to work is through a Custom scan and then a helper app pops-up to do scan or preview which never happened before.
    Can you please help? this is very frustrating. Should we cancel our subscription and go back to v9?
    Thanks!
    Best,

    Hi msfdr,
    I assume you are facing problem on windows machines.
    You may try following steps.
    1. Click on Start button > search > run.
    2. Launch Run.
    3. type %appdata%, hit on ok.
    4. You will get browsed to C:\Users\(xxxxx)user name\AppData\Roaming
    5. Go to Adobe folder > Acrobat.
    6. If it is Acrobat 11.0, there should be 11.0 folder. Rename the folder as Old_11.0.
    7. Launch Acrobat again and try.

  • Using templates & blank pages

    I am using the resume template. I want to use the template for page one, but not have the graphics or same layout in page 2. How do I break from the template? I read in the manual all i have to do is go to pages menu and 'insert > blank page' but the pages function is constantly greyed out. No matter where I click on the page I can not 'insert > pages'. I am currently using the 30 day trial version. Could this have anything to do with it?
    Many thanks

    don,
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
    You don't say which resume template you're using -- there are several of them. Anyway, I chose the one called Typewriter Resume. I put my cursor at the end of the document, then clicked on Insert > Page Break. The graphic repeated on the next page because it's defined as a master object. To delete it from page 2, select the graphic, then click on Format > Advanced > Move Object to Page, then hit the Delete key.
