Using "Search" with nin-english letters

I'm Ipod user from non english community (russian). I set language to russian and all work well (menu, etc ...). But I cannot view russian letters using menu "Search". Is it possible to view not only english letters using menu "search".
PS. I have Ipod classic, but I checked, and this doesn'n work on Ipod nano.

I think you understand, the problem not only in russian. I cannot see characters of any language if this language is not english (for exmaple French). Is it possible to turn this on?

Youtube issue - search with non-english letters

The issue appeared after the recent software update, worked correctly in the previous one.
When searching youtube with non-english letters (through iphone remote app), it assumes every letter to be an "enter" and reports a problem connecting to youtube.
Even when I try using the "recent searches", it will report the same problem for non-english items.

Update: It seems to be related to the themeLinks in the JSP. I got it working for a second by adding in a missing themelinks link... but it's not working anymore. Huh.

Thunderbird: Emails with non-english letters warped

When receiving emails all non-english letters are warped.
I can write, say æ, ø, å, but getting it back it looks like this: Ã¦, Ã¸, Ã¥
The subject line is still fine, it's the message text that gets warped.
I tried installing language packs, and then dictionary, (and of course restarting), but it does not work.

Character sets is the answer.
View menu > character encoding. It is probably UTF-8 and should be western or vise versa

Mail wants to use the restricted Service "Search With Google."

This is the response/error I see when I try to do a Google search from an email message - "Mail wants to use the restricted Service “Search With Google.”"

Interesting - I just created a new user account I named "Test", and tried "Search With Google" in Notes and it worked fine in this new account. Without any additional change, I went back into my normal user account, and tried to use "Search with Google" on the highlighted word, and it pulled up the Google search fine as well. No reason I can think of that these actions would have resolved the problem - e.g., either the creation of the "Test" account, or switching between this "Test" account and my normal account. Possibly creating new account caused a cleanup of the Safari preferences to point to version 6.0.(essentially reset the default)
Would be curious if droow007 solution works for others. Definitely quicker than the route I went :~)

I am having problems using Firefox with Ebay in the last 10 days. The advanced search link is dropping off the page and there is no way to access it now.

I have been using Firefox and Ebay for at least 12 years with no problems whatsoever. But in the last 10 days I have been having trouble with the Advanced Search link disappearing from the page on Ebay. If I do a search from the Ebay home page it will show the results, but the Advanced Search link (in blue letters) which always used to appear to the right of the Search button is gone. If I click Search again at this point I can see the Advanced Search link appear for a millisecond, but then disappear just as quickly. Also, if I refresh the page the same thing happens. I tried to duplicate this problem with Internment Explorer and it didn't occur, so it appears to be Firefox that is causing this issue. Of course when I contacted Ebay they told me my problem was that I wasn't using Internment Explorer! I love Firefox and do not want to switch!

You can try to clear the cache and cookies to see if that makes a difference:

Or opens a new bower behind the one i'm usind that's blank i don't even know it's there untill i close the one i'm using. How do I prevent Firefox from connecting to google-analytics? How to use ADF Query search with EJB 3.0

The steps to create query search with ADF Business Components says:
"+From the Data Controls panel, select the data collection and expand the Named Criteria node to display a list of named view criteria.+"
But with EJB, I'm not able to find Named Criteria node. Can we use ADF query search component with EJB? If yes, can you please show me some example, tutorial etc.?

For EJBs you'll need to implement the query model on your own.

How do i change the setting so that when i type something in the address bar, it searches with google. it's started using yahoo and i hate yahoo, i'm even considering leaving firefox

I think native speakers get that one wrong just as frequently as non-native speakers, if not more often. I hate seeing "definately".
But it's funny when people type "definatly" and MS Office automatically replaces this with "defiantly" ^^. I often get e-mails from colleagues saying things like "We should defiantly do this" ... yes, we should definitely put all our defiance into this .

Actually this particular mistake is made almost exclusively by native speakers (or quasi-native speakers, like people from Hong Kong or India who start learning English at 3 or so). I wondered for a long time how they could possibly confuse "have" and "of", until someone explained that they are not replacing "would have", "could have" etc. with "would of", "could of", but "would've", "could've". Additionally native speakers pronounce "of" approximately as "ev" (the o in "of" is reduced to a schwa if the "of" is not in a position where it is emphasized) ... which is exactly the same or very similar to the way the 've part of "would've", "could've" is pronounced. So for a native speaker this is almost as innocent a mistake as writing "you're" for "your" or "there" for "their".
I hate this error very much. For non-native speakers something like "would of" is extremely hard to parse, because when reading this and pronouncing the words in our heads we do not reduce the "of" to "ev", we read it kind of like "off", and cannot associate this with 've or have.

This statement is not correct. One can use "less" for both countable and uncountable nouns. The usage with uncountable nouns even predates the one with countable nouns (9th vs. 14th century). What I hate very much is when people use "less" when they should use "little". Only non-native speakers do this, of course. But quite often and even in official documents . I find this really cringeworthy. "There is too less time to do this or that" for example. The opposite of much is little, not less! Little cannot only mean small.
A funny mistake, also in an official document: "The information in this document is objective to change." instead of "... subject to change". I think the author must be too object-oriented .

metacharacter). The backslash is known as an escape character. It means 'use the character value of the next character, not the special meaning' It is used in a lot of places such as command line, global regular expression patterns, and editors such as vi.
In a typical shell, the splat (*) expands to all file names before passing the file names to the current command. So a \* sequence tells the shell to pass a *, not a list of file names, to the command.

Reply: Cor-el > Excellent!! Thank You. In Tools, Add Ons, Extensions there was a Default Tab enntry which was the culprit. Am running W7 so the XP Tools, Options, Advanced , Use Hardware acceleration when available, wasn't of much help here, however I did fix a problem on another computer running XP with that same fix.
