Using sender cost as receiver in assessment

Dear SAP experts,
I have a case in assessment cost center.
When create segment in assessment cost center, one of the receiver cost in receiver group is the sender of the cost.
For example :
sender : cost center A
receiver : cost center A,B,C,D. (one of the receiver is also the sender).
Is it possible to do that?

Yes, it is possible, but it should be verified that makes sense.

Check your distribution cycle: KSV3
Under Segment header screen:
Receiver tracing factor.
Receiver Rule: Variable Proportions/ Fixed Proportions...etc.
Other wise:
Perform the distribution cycle with test run, KSV5
Double Click on senders/ Receivers...you will come to know the base for distribution.

Cost center assessment to CO-PA using Variable portions in receiver rule

Hi Experts,
Could you please explain how to use variable portions as receiver rule. An example will be very helpful. I have got theory in help documents but could not get
through it....request for an example.
I am using fixed amounts as sender values and using variable portions as receiver rule.
In receiver tracing factor - I am using value field / key fields as say example VV075 (actual cash discount). I also mentioned record type and plan/actual indicator
in receiver tracing factor screen. I also mentioned data in receiver weighting factor screen.
Still if I execute KEU5, system says no receivers found.
I checked and found there are values for VV075 for the record type and plan / actual indicator combination selected.
Where could be the problem.
Request to explain variable portions with example.

Thanks for the reply.
There is no error in other segments. I already checked it...and also in KE24 there is data for the combination of value field, record type, plan/actual indicator and period selected. That is not an issue.
I feel some set up in using the variable portions is missing. This is the first time using variable portions.

Sender Cost Element Group role in Assessment Cost Element Cycle

Hello,
We have an assessment cycle as below:-
Assessment Cost Element - 6000000
Sender Rule - Fixed Amount
Receiver Rule - Variable Portions
Sender Cost Center - 1000
Sender Cost Element Group - ABCD
Receiver Order Group - XYZS
Sender Values - 2,00,000 USD - Cost Center 1000
Cost Element Group in Receiver Tracing Factor tab - EFGH,
When I see the line item report of sender cost center 1000, I am able to see the total value as 2.00,000 USD credited, but I am not sure about the role of Sender cost element group ABCD in this situation.
Also what is the role of receiver cost element group EFGH?
Please advise.

Hi Tapan,
When you have selected in sender rule fixed amount then the system will transfer that amount to the receiver cost center specified irrespective of the total amount of cost element group existing in the sender cost center. There is no significance of cost element group mentioned in the sender rule then.
The role of the receiver cost element group in the tracing factor is used to apportion the amount of the sender according to the expenses existing on the orders in your case.

Hello every body
I am trying to create a report that shows the hours that an employee has spend on an activity in a project.
Key Figure:
Hours
Characteristics:
Sender Cost Center (Employees Cost Center)
Receiver Cost Center
Activity code
What happens is that in some cases the Sender- and Receiver Cost Center do have the same value (are the same) in a row. The task in front of me is to exclude these rows from the query result.
One way to resolve the problem is to make a variable for each object; use replacement path and bring the values of their key into query as keyFigures; subtract one from the other, and use a condition that only allows values different from 0.
The problem is that the key value of the Cost Centers are not always numeric values (e.g. M10110). These values can not be a part of a subtraction.
I can resolve this issue by deleting the data in the cube and make a key Figure in update rules with values 0 (sdr. and rec. have different keys) and 1 (sdr. and rec. have same keys).
Does any one knows of a way to accomplish the result I need in BEx, so I can avoid deleting every thing in the cube?

1) In integration repository you can have one or many software components it depends on your landscape orchestration
2) In integration direcory you need at least one service for bpm and one or many for each system in your bpm
also each connection between systems and bpm must have receiver determination and so on.
Advice: Please treat BPM as a separate system.

I can however still send more photos but had to go to my PC to receive my emails as I c.c. myself into all the emails I sent. Is the ipad jammed because I sent too many phtos at one time?

Use of cost element as a fixed characteristic in PA?

How the cost element is used from CE1XXXX table in Profitability Analysis reporting?
If you are using cost center assessments, the last cost element in settlement document is used as reference cost element to post a PA document in CEXXXX table. Why the last cost element is used?

When you do COPA assessements they use a secondary cost element you specify in each cycle segment. It shows in CO as an offset to the original amount. On the COPA side it creates a posting to that same cost element in the value field you designate. These entries form a profitability segmant in COPA which is COPA's way of indexing the entries. I am not sure why you say the last cost element because the sender pulls what you designate by segment and the receiver gets what you send based on the secondary cost element and value fields.

Use of Costing Sheet in Cost Center Master Data

In the Template tab of the cost center master data there is a provision to mention Costing Sheet under the heading Overhead rates.
How does it work? Does it work for actual or plan?
I want to use ACTUAL assessment cycle between a sender cost center and few receiver cost centers. I want to add % overheads to the expenses posted on receiver cost centers. Can I do this by mentioning a costing sheet in ther sender / receiver cost center?
If yes then how? If not what is the alternative?

How to find the origin costs(primary CE) for Assessment cost elements

Hi All,
How can we trace the Orgin costs(cost senders) for Assessment cost element.
I have to create Co report where user wants the Costs senders(primary cost elements) details for Assessment cost element.
Our cycles are defined as senders - cost center and receiver's are Internal orders.
so for assessement cost elements what are the primary cost senders.
Is it possible to trace the primary cost elements details for Assessment cost elements.

Thanks for the information.
I have done the same as per your advise.
I am trying to pull all the primary cost elements which are posted with my sender cost center's.
All the cycles are defined as share in % = 100%.
But unfortunately all the debits are of primary cost elements is not equal to credit amount of my Assessment cost element.
The figures are very far and couldn't trace the difference amount. Is there any other report in SAP or how i can define in report painter to meet this requirement.

Filename for flat file using J2EE FILE FTP Receiver adapter

I am struggling to do the following:
I have a J2EE File receiver that sends a file with a specific name to a FTP destination. I define the target filename in my graphical mapping using certain criteria and a incremental number. In my adapter I use variable substitution to select that value in the payload as the filename. Up to this point everything works fine.
The problem is that I convert the payload to a flat structure using xslt before writing it out and because of that the adapter cannot find my value as defined in the variable I use for the name.
Now, obviously if I move the xslt module after the CallAdapter module, the file won't be converted to a flat structure.
Can anyone give me advice on how I can do the flat conversion <u>and</u> the specific filename from the payload?

Instead of using variable substitution, use adapter specific identifiers to set the file name in mapping.
